The workouts are tough but the best thing is that they are ALWAYS different. It's never the same boring old routine. They recently got an infrared sauna too! Their class times align to people who work long hours in addition to people who don't work as you can attend the 6am or 7am classes ( that's where I'm at ) or the 12pm or 5:30pm classes. I enjoy this class so much more then I ever enjoyed Barre, Yoga or CrossFit. It's just a true combination of everything and that makes it so much more doable as it never gets boring. Random body parts are always sore. They also always provide alternatives if you have an injury. The class is super diverse. People of ALL ages and ALL weights. It's refreshing. You're not intimated but you're also motivated. Personal tip: If Lateef doesn't immediately respond to your email just email again. He's an actual owner hustler as he teaches so many of his classes and does a lot of personal training and he doesn't have an assistant so he juggles it all on his own. I have an unlimited membership for $150 a month where I can go every day to the gym. They have different packages and price points though. Some people have told me my package is expensive and if you are one of those people, rearrange your budget so that you can come to Fit Austin. Seriously, I love this place and you get your money's worth! The classes are 45 minutes with a warm up and cool down and they are intense (in a good way). They are small and the trainers are great! The classes are always different and work different parts of your body. You will never get bored with the classes here! It really is almost like personal training without the high budget. Although from the reviews here and what I have heard, Lateef and the rest of the trainers are amazing at personal training. I have to give a shout out to Lane LeBlanc who is currently a trainer there. She is super great, friendly, very encouraging and knowledgeable. I always look forward to any class with her! You have many time options every day for the classes and everyone there is friendly. They have bathrooms, a water bottle fill up station and showers if needed and a new sauna! If you are looking for a gym, don't look any further. Whether you need personal training or want to go to classes, this is the place for you!

Not only is the workout great, but there is no commitments, unlike some gyms that have super high prices per month unless you commit for a year, it's still cheaper than camp gladiator with a 6 month commitment. Stronghorn is still less than 2 years new and growing very quickly so there will be more locations and times soon to make it easier to make a class. Jess, the founder, is genuinely one of the nicest, most fun people I know. He is great at motivating you to push yourself beyond what you thought your body could do and making you laugh and smile while doing it. The group is also still relatively small and has lots of social events, happy hours, and other nutritional challenges. If you're looking for a new fitfam in Austin, Stronghorn will be a great new home for you.

I remember being so frustrated that everyone else was so much stronger than me -- so much better than me. But Courtney reassured me that no one started the class being perfect; just like them, I would need to keep at it! So I did. I started doing bootcamps twice a week, and within a year I had dropped 20 lbs and gained so much self-confidence and strength. Eventually I moved up to going to indoor OTL twice/week plus bootcamp twice/week -- after two years of OTL I am so in love with this gym! I'm down 35 lbs total, 5 inches in the waist, but what I am the absolute happiest about is how healthy, strong and confident I am with myself. The Lakeway location is the first franchise location in Central Texas, having opened in 2017 which is when I joined. The BBC founders started franchising their business in 2015 and I am greatly impressed that they continually improve upon their business model. They now have a mobile app which let's you sign up for camp times, track your attendance, or watch on demand videos of workouts. So why does BBC deserve 5 stars? *Strength and conditioning protocols VARY daily. Periodically, fun challenges throughout the year shake things up. Camps are 45 minutes long and 5-10 minutes at the beginning and end of the camps are spent on warming up or winding down with stretches. *FLOATING FLOOR! I am now in the latter half of my 50's and my joints greatly appreciate the shock absorbing qualities of the floating floor. *You'll find folks at ALL levels of fitness and ages who encourage each other with a smile and a high five. Although women make up the majority of camps, men are welcome at any camp. The workouts are not "frilly," you will be challenged. But, every movement can be modded down to accommodate your fitness level or if you have some specific limitation. *FREE CHILDCARE is included as well as FOCUS MEETINGS with certified trainers who will help you with your fitness goals, nutritionally and physically. *UNIVERSAL membership means you can visit the other 350+ (and growing) franchise locations around the US for FREE! I'm in better shape than my 20's, I'm stronger than I've ever been which is great for bones at my age, and I love being part of this great community.
