I love how the work outs are small groups with really awesome coaches, every single coach has been so helpful with form, offering alternative movements if needed, giving helpful feedback while also encouraging you to lift heavier and push harder and I feel like every coach truly wants you to be the healthiest strongest person you can be! All the coaches and the owner Jake are so friendly and make the work out classes fun but challenging. They are all so knowledgeable about nutrition and fitness, they're all so amazing and so great at helping to keep you motivated! All the other members are so encouraging too, it really makes a difference when the other people doing the work out with you and pushing themselves just as hard if not harder and are super friendly while encouraging you to push yourself too. I've had such an awesome experience at this gym unlike any other gym I've attended. The community this gym has created is truly one of a kind! My only regret is not finding them sooner! I really love the structure of the work outs with the hour classes having portions for strength training and portions endurance training. I personally really enough being able to focus on trying to lift heavy and really work certain muscle groups and then finishing the work out off with another portion to really get your heart rate going. The nutrition plan I started with the 6 week program was really well thought out and all the food was tasty, nothing was bland or boring. Every meal I felt full and wasn't craving more food. I also made some new recipes that I really love and still make for myself from it! Unlike some other gyms, you can tell the trainers sincerely care about you as a person and helping you attain your fitness goals. They also have 6 week challenges, personal training and Jurassic Snacks onsite for some tasty post-workout treats. Although this type of bootcamp style workout (burpees, mountain climbers, flipping huge tires,etc) does not appeal to me, it motivated me to get back on track with exercise I do enjoy. Highly recommend lab Athletics for those looking for a grueling workout and fantastic, professional and motivating and experienced trainers.

There is purpose that goes in to the multi-week long series, which keeps a goal in mind but than changes after a few weeks to keep you engaged. As mentioned there is a sense that you are getting a one-on-one training session but within a non-judgmental group settings to help feed off other's energy. If I can't make a session there is always the open gym to pound out what I need on my own. Shower makes it convenient so I can head straight to work after.

I would yap with them while I was resting between sets but would try and keep it short to be able to finish using the machine. Someone comes up to me and says something along the lines of are you using this machine while i was getting up to switch with my friend. I said yes I have one more set and my friend is just starting. They tell us to stop talking so much and hurry up, we say sorry and let him use the machine to avoid any trouble. They walks away and another person goes up to them and says I glad you said something they are taking too long. On another occasion, someone was rushing us off machines by standing and watching us workout. It was very awkward and I will not be going back!

As a newly middle aged weekend warrior with a history of injury it was important to me that I partnered with trainers who would be very focused on form. I like to be pushed to continue meeting new goals, but I have no interest in bro-y, no pain no gain environments that lead to injury. Trailhead was everything I had been looking for and more. I got stronger than I'd ever been before and I was constantly encouraged to get out there and use the gains I'd earned in living a more adventurous and fulfilling life. The folks at Trailhead weren't only my trainers, they were my friends and they genuinely cared about my well-being and happiness. I've since left Bellingham and I miss my workout buddies. But I'm glad to know they're still there keeping the stoke alive and keeping people sweaty.

She has her own space she uses to train her clients. It's amazing what she comes up with as routines and variety. I was not motivated to begin a workout on my own, so I knew I needed help. Finding Patti was a dream come true. She is very present to every different exercise. She changes things up so you get a good rounded workout based on your abilities and your goals. She is very patient and encouraging and she has a kind caring personality. If you want someone who will grind you into the dirt, she might not be the one for you. But if you want someone who really cares and someone who is careful you don't get injured but encourages you to do more than you would on your own, you should give her a try. I've been seeing her for a few weeks now and I am seeing the differences and feeling stronger and better about myself. I hope this was helpful.
