Every class was different, we never did the same thing twice, and most of the classes were actually really challenging -- I always felt like I got a good workout, and I definitely feel stronger and more fit. I also felt like the trainers genuinely cared about us pushing ourselves and improving, as well as making sure that people had modifications if they had injuries or needed something less demanding.

Every class is different but very good as they all contain a wide variety of different exercises. The trainers are so nice yet definitely give great workouts and instruct very well. Everyone there is like family and the class sizes are small (8 max) so the trainers are able to give special 1 on 1 instruction to everyone. It is also very conveniently placed right in downtown Clarkston and connected to Health Quest PT!

00000 stars!! Well you lost this family of 3...! Cancelled- hope you all get treated the way you…read moretreated us and your other members, like crap. I'm honestly pretty upset with how Lifetime as a brand has changed. Customer service? Gone. The feeling of inclusivity? Gone. It's like they no longer care about their members. I get that they're saving some money by not being open 24/7, but it's still a huge letdown. We've tried the Canton location multiple times, but there's always something broken or out of order. So we went to the Troy location, only to find that our family membership doesn't work here--only Novi and Canton. After upgrading, my son, who loves basketball, was disappointed to see that half the courts are now taken over by pickleball. Now they're even getting rid of basketball courts altogether. When I asked, I was told that "basketball doesn't make us money." Isn't that why we're paying $275 a month for a family membership? Today, after upgrading, we got kicked off the basketball court within an hour because of some family event. Apparently, they have arts and crafts tables in the gym on Saturdays. We were told we could come back after 8pm, but why did we drive 55 minutes from Ann Arbor for that? There's other space they could've used, but I'm guessing that's being rented out for more money, while the members are pushed aside for things like pickleball. Honestly, the Las Vegas locations are great, but the Michigan ones are a mess. I've been harassed since day one at Canton. It's frustrating because, just like 24-Hour Fitness, Lifetime is drifting away from what made it great--caring about the members. Eventually, I think they'll learn, especially when they start closing down locations, just like 24-Hour did. I just hope they realize that the people--the members--are what keeps their revenue flowing. Plus spend some money on this club first, everything is old and falling apart..... Maybe one day, pickleball will fade out like racquetball did. But until then, here's an idea: Troy could convert those racquetball courts into basketball courts. That would actually make sense!

I've been a member at Life Time Fitness Troy since 2002, and I've never been this disappointed…read more They are completely getting rid of the basketball courts and replacing them with pickleball. First they took one court away, and now they're taking BOTH courts starting April 19. Basketball has always been one of the main reasons people come here, and now it feels like that doesn't matter at all. Instead, pickleball is taking over the entire space with prime-time hours--6-9:30 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 6-9 PM on other days--basically making it impossible for anyone to play basketball after work. On top of that, the courts were never even taken care of properly. The basketball floors are rarely cleaned, and the wood clearly needs to be polished. For a gym charging around $150 a month, you would expect much better maintenance, but it feels like they never cared about the basketball side at all. Another issue is the hours. The basketball courts close at 11 PM Monday through Thursday, and the entire club closes at 11 PM on Fridays--which is crazy considering most locations stay open later. This is the only club I know closing that early on a Friday. After over 20 years of being a loyal member, it feels like long-time members are being pushed aside. The gym might look nice, but taking away something this important--and not even maintaining it properly while it was there--completely ruins the experience.

If I could give zero stars, I would. If you are a Black man, AVOID this Planet Fitness at all…read morecosts!!! Soley because of an employee named JAZMIN. She worked there at 7:00 AM on Sunday, 7/19/2026. She called the Great Lakes Crossing security AND the Auburn Hills Police Department on me, simply because I disputed the amount owed on my account, which was inactive because I had not worked out there in almost a year. I did not use any profanity, I did not scream at her, I did not threaten her, I did not insult her-though she did insult me twice. When you disagree with the amount you owe on any account, naturally there is a disagreement with you and the employee serving you. No big deal. You work it out. 1. I asked to deal speak with a manager or supervisor so that I could deal with someone other than Jazmin. None was on duty. I asked if I could have her supervisor's name so that I could speak to them when they were on duty. Jazmin said she could not give me any name of a supervisor-she said it was company policy. Fine, I tried to remove Jazmin from the equation so that she and I would not go back-and-forth, but was unable to through no fault of my own. 2. Jazmin then called the Auburn Hills Police Department on me and told them over the phone that I was behaving "erratically." No threats from me, non-belligerent, no profanity, no shouting, no disturbance of others using the gym, just me disputing the fact that I was told that I owed a past balance of $236 on a $22 "month-to-month" gym membership that I had not used in almost a year. Even though I was on a "month-to-month contract, Jamzmin told me I was obligated to pay every month, and that fees accrued despite me not using the gym. She said that I had a perpetual contract. 3. I said, "I UNDERSTAND." I PAID the $236- and said, I would dispute the amount later, because I just wanted to workout. I asked Jazmin for a number to customer service so that I could call and dispute the amount on Monday. Jazmin REFUSED to provide me with that information also. Her reasoning? "I don't like the way you're talking to me." I said, fine. I'll just work out and come back on Monday and speak with a supervisor. Jazmin told me, "No. You cannot work out. I don't want you in here and you don't have a membership; it has lapsed and had become inactive." I said, "Fine, can I reactivate the account now so I can workout?" Jazmin once again told me "No! I don't want you in here!" 4. THREE Auburn Hills Police Officers showed up because an almost 60-year-old, non-violent, non-belligerent Black man was disputing how much he owed on an inactive account/membership-which he PAID anyway-and was told that he still could not workout. 5. Fine, I felt that if I just paid $236 dollars and Jazmin refused to renew my membership, I asked for a refund, and I would come back on Monday and renew. Jazmin refused to give me a refund. It's kind of like having your lights shut off because of non-payment of past bills, then when you pay all the past-due amounts, you are told your lights will still not be turned back on because the employee didn't' appreciate the way you talked to them. 6. A police officer spoke with Jazmin and she gave the officer ALL of the information I had asked her for in the very beginning! Contact information to settle our disagreement. Even the police offer said, that Jazmin was, "being difficult." 7. Without a doubt in my mind, JAZMIN would not have called the police on any woman-Black or White- in the exact same situation. Jazmin would not have called the police on an affluent white male in the same situation. Jazmin DID call the police on a non-violent, non-belligerent, nearly 60-year-old, Black male, Kindergarten teacher as if I was a stone-cold thug! Even though I have been a PAID member at Planet Fitness for almost 10 years. Long before Jazmin has worked there. 8. The only white male police officer rudely shouted at me to "Get out!" I will complain to the Auburn Hills Police Department on Monday.
