Prices spiked after COVID but I feel that was expected as less people go to gyms now and that sneaky inflation. Also their staff is always extremely friendly. Chris, one of their sales associates, is a real good guy who works hard and is there to help you out. I'll go here as long as I live here! One knock... BRING BACK THE TOWELS!!! We paid for her to attend a class three times a week for one month. In addition to the class fee, the gym charged a separate membership fee. She was also not offered the one-week free membership that is described on the gym's website. Unfortunately, after attending only three classes, my father-in-law suffered a massive stroke. What followed was an extremely difficult period for our family, including hospitalization and stroke treatment, a skilled nursing facility stay, assisted living in Michigan, selling his home, and ultimately moving both of my in-laws to an assisted living facility out of state. Under those circumstances, my wife simply could not continue attending the classes, despite wanting to. When she contacted the gym to explain the situation and ask about a refund for the unused classes and membership, she was told that there are no refunds. We understand that the stroke was not the gym's responsibility, but we were disappointed by the lack of flexibility or consideration given the circumstances. We were told that the unused classes could instead be given to someone else, but that wasn't a practical solution for us. I previously posted a review describing our experience. After seeing it, the owner, Jason, contacted me and was understandably unhappy with the review. He asked me to remove it and said he would send a refund to make things right. I agreed to take the review down based on that representation, but the refund was never received.

She did just that!! She is amazing with my kids and ALL the kids. Since then, I have gone to other LTF's kids academy, and I can say TROY is one of the best. The staff goes above and beyond... it's very organized, unlike some of the other club. TROYS ACADEMY is our top favorite! My kids throw a fit when we go to other clubs. One thing that stands out the most is the way they handle the kids' misbehaving at the busiest times (and obviously not busy times). Very calm yet firm and still loving. Nothing makes me smile more when I see the staff deal with a hurt child. Again, showing so much love and care. Doug, Rena ,Taylor Facca, Hana, Bianca and Katherine are all amazing! LTF TROY is so lucky to have a wonderful staff. One thing is I wish the hours were longer on weekends! I wanted to rave about the summer camp. Again, leaving my kids all day freaked me out. I'm honestly pretty upset with how Lifetime as a brand has changed. Customer service? Gone. The feeling of inclusivity? Gone. It's like they no longer care about their members. I get that they're saving some money by not being open 24/7, but it's still a huge letdown. We've tried the Canton location multiple times, but there's always something broken or out of order. So we went to the Troy location, only to find that our family membership doesn't work here--only Novi and Canton. After upgrading, my son, who loves basketball, was disappointed to see that half the courts are now taken over by pickleball. Now they're even getting rid of basketball courts altogether. When I asked, I was told that "basketball doesn't make us money." Isn't that why we're paying $275 a month for a family membership? Today, after upgrading, we got kicked off the basketball court within an hour because of some family event. Apparently, they have arts and crafts tables in the gym on Saturdays. We were told we could come back after 8pm, but why did we drive 55 minutes from Ann Arbor for that? There's other space they could've used, but I'm guessing that's being rented out for more money, while the members are pushed aside for things like pickleball. Honestly, the Las Vegas locations are great, but the Michigan ones are a mess. I've been harassed since day one at Canton. It's frustrating because, just like 24-Hour Fitness, Lifetime is drifting away from what made it great--caring about the members. Eventually, I think they'll learn, especially when they start closing down locations, just like 24-Hour did. I just hope they realize that the people--the members--are what keeps their revenue flowing. Plus spend some money on this club first, everything is old and falling apart..... Maybe one day, pickleball will fade out like racquetball did. But until then, here's an idea: Troy could convert those racquetball courts into basketball courts. That would actually make sense!
