I've had such a great experience at Anytime Fitness. From the moment you walk in, the environment feels welcoming, positive, and genuinely supportive. Victoria and Jean are the first smiles you see- always welcoming and helping. The staff and members create a space where you don't feel judged--just encouraged to show up and do your best. What really made a difference for me were the small group classes that helped all fitness levels as well as the layout of the gym. Coaches Erika, John C., Marquise, Jon and Adriel are fantastic and really want to see you succeed! In fact, it felt empowering to know I could adjust things and still make progress. Solid anytime in New Jersey. At the time that I was there, there was a huge hole in the corner of the gym, which apparently came from some highschoolers who were messing around. I would say that every time has their own style in terms of what random machine they put in. For me it was the standing dip machine that I thought was really cool. read more

This is an amazing gym. Echoing other reviews, the owners are committed and keep this gym clean. It isn't staffed 24 hours, but after hours it's almost empty so you don't have to worry about any issues. They also have an alert lanyard you can wear after hours. If you press the button on it, it'll contact the police so you are still in good hands even if the staff is not there. The machines are your standard kind, not many specialized ones here (like hip adductors/abductors). It's a bit tight but since there weren't many people when I went, it wasn't an issue. All the machines work. If anything, some of the padding on them is so new that I was sliding off lol. They don't have locker rooms, but they have individual bathroom stalls with showers in them, as well as separate locker storage. A nice place to go in a prime spot. read more

My fiancé and I just moved to the area this week, and decided to check out the gyms in the neighborhood before deciding where we want to join. I find this gym on google a mile away, and see they offer a 7 day free trial, as 95% of gyms do. I submit my info, and receive a text message from "Adam" who informs me they "no longer offer the 7 day free trial." Fine, no problem I don't need 7 days, just one or two to feel it out before deciding whether I want to commit or not. I explain to Adam my fiancé and I just moved here and wanted to come in for a work out as we search for our new home gym.... Apparently it's $25 per person per day.... How in gods name does anyone commit to a gym membership without trying it first? Just join and hope it doesn't suck? My best guess is that the facility is as poor as their business model.... LETS NOT FORGET THEY ADVERTISE A 7 DAY FREE TRIAL. Kick rocks. I'll bring our business elsewhere read more

Good spot for cardio as there is a cardio machine always available. The big weights are mostly used by buffed up guys so it's fine. They don't rearrange the smaller weights though. The trainers here assist well. The showers are a bit dirty and needs more cleaning. read more

I have to leave this place a 1 start review because of their dishonest staff. I signed up for a free 7 day guest pass from the website. My email confirmation said it's for the Cliffside Park location. Within 5 seconds of signing up for the guess pass, I got 2 text messages from the staff asking me to come in for a tour. I showed up, had their high-pressure salesman give me a tour of the gym, then tell me the gym doesn't honor the guest pass, and instead I can pay $25 for a day pass. This is a poor reflection of the staff who doesn't understand customer service. In addition, the gym is overpriced and small. There are several gyms within a 10 mile radius that are bigger, cheaper, and have better equipment. I won't be giving this gym my business, even if they decide to contact me and honor the guest pass. I'm surprised this gym is the way it is, considering the stiff competition for gyms in Bergen County. My guess is that they'll go out of business, unless their completely change their staff and policies. read more

I have been to many, many gyms (commercial and privately owned) and the owners here really work their butts off to keep this place interesting and engaging. The main trainers here seem to really care too - you dont see this often at commercial gyms. They always have little competitions/contests/events here. They always work with other local vendors here to help everyone out. They have built a nice little community gym, which is great. They have nice mats - and round rogue plates It does get crowded in peak hours - they only have one bench. They have 2 squat racks, a kick bag, and rubber mats where you can deadlift. I've been working out for over 5 years now. I have had many gym memberships and I am new to town. Tell me why I just drove 25 minutes because I was offered a week pass and a gym tour that was "scheduled" for me and the employee at the front had no idea what i was talking about. He went on to tell me they don't do passes of any kind (not even day passes) at their location (even though my email confirmed the location) and that every location is different because it's a corporation....which made zero sense to me seeing as corporate companies have the same rules in effect everywhere so I am confused by that statement. I felt so gaslit it was crazy. He told me I should have gotten a follow up email notifying me of this disclaimer which I never got because I don't think he was being 100% honest. If you guys don't do tours or guest passes then it should not be advertised and Im not sure if this is a location problem or a corporation issue but it should be addressed. He showed me a price listing and the monthly dues are bi weekly charges which adds up to double what has been advertised. Ive been a member of Anytime Fitness for over 2 years. My home gym location is in Cliffside Park, even though there are closer locations to my home in Jersey City. The reason why I attend this location, rather than others, is due to the fact that the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, it's always well kept and cleaned, and the members provide a sense of community. The equipment is well kept and maintained which reduces the number of instances where machines breakdown. I've been to numerous locations across the country and have yet to come across another location as well maintained and helpful staff. read more

This fitness's customer service sucks! The staff doesn't fully understand membership plans. I tried to cancel my 6-months membership since it expired this July and I no longer wanted to go there. Even though I explained my situation 2 times in person and called 3 times, all they gave me was an early cancelation form in which I need to pay a $150 early cancelation fee. And when I explained my membership and tried to cancel it at the venue, they said they don't know about the plan and they don't have a permit to cancel the membership and gave me the link to the early cancelation form. I was relieved, however, because they said when my membership expires, I would not be charged anymore. But you know what?? I was charged again yesterday!! Such a liar. I feel so bad for this fitness center and I never recommend this gym to anyone around me. Thanks for your business! read more

I am a woman who has gone through the wringer, physically and mentally during the past year. I thought, "I'd better find a gym to help raise my spirits. I figured an endorphin rush is going to have to fit the bill since I can't afford jail time for street drugs. Initially, I went to the biggest gym with the Giants sign on Rt. 17 to check out first. I thought the fact that they had a pool would motivate me. I met their sales agent, a lovely lady who offered me a day pass. However, it was highly impersonal, and the desk staff was so off-putting, I couldn't join. You know, the "just can't be bothered working while I'm at work" types. After that day pass from hell, I looked for the best reviewed gym near me. Anytime Fitness was the clear winner. My husband and I were treated like family as soon as I walked in. Intelligent sales tactics, no pressure at all, but thoroughly explained by Jessica and Mike. The gym size is perfect, everything you need is there and there's no wait for machines. If you like owners that are not pretentious, who are warm, compassionate and can make direct eye contact, this is your gym! Mike, Adam and Rod are already my heroes. They truly care about their clients. The equipment is well-maintained and everything is immaculate. It's a small gym, the trainers are so kind and quite frankly, hot. The entire staff is a lot deeper than a bird bath which I enjoy. The price is right, the fact that they're PRESENT is a lost art. They actually make me feel better about the future. Grab some coffee/protein shake/smoothie, because you'll be reading for awhile: 1) Every staff member (including all the trainers) are amazing! They are ALL super friendly/personable since day 1 of me joining. Every member will walk-in to a friendly smile. And once you get your butt to the gym often enough, they'll remember you by name and become more of a family than just a member. [All the other members are super friendly too! You begin to realize every one is there for the same purpose. To get to a healthier/stronger self. So no one is judging you. At all.] 2) All new equipment and everything is clean! Sure this gym may not be ginormous as some other competitors but it's packed with everything that you need to do a full body workout. Also, clean towels are provided. You can also use their individual bathroom/shower if you need a quick rinse after your sweaty workout. 3) Multiple Classes offered! These are the ones they offer as of now: - Spin (free for members) - Zumba (free for members) - Yoga (free for members) - Code Purple (additional fee. But all members can take a trial class for free!) All the classes are great! You can test out each one and see which you enjoy the most or take them all! All classes are offered on multiple days and times so you can squeeze it into your busy schedule, no problem. 4) Code Purple: It's a small group strength training class. Think it's expensive? Take a step back and think about it for a sec. They offer multiple free classes, great equipment, clean facility AND it's open 24/7!!! AND there's more that 4000 locations world wide and as a member you can go to all of them! Guys, it's a steal. Trust me. Okay...I think I've listed enough reasons for you to join. This facility is perfect. I repair fitness equipment so I visit 10 different gyms a day and Anytime is by far the cleanest with the most friendly staff. Showers and towels on site so you can change and go straight to work. Parking downstairs so your car is not boiling hot when you are done working out. Highly Recommend! read more

I've been a part of many gyms around the country and I can honestly say I've never felt more welcome at a gym. As someone who is working on their fitness, I appreciate the warm welcome from owners and trainers when I walk in. This gym also offers other classes such as yoga and my personal favorite Zumba. The Zumba instructor along with the trainers have become some of the most supportive people I've encountered in my fitness journey. I've been a member since they opened back in August 2018 and have been thoroughly impressed by the cleanliness and state of the art equipment at ATF. Staff have always been super friendly and professional, and I'd highly suggest their Code Purple HIT classes and / or their Personal Training packages. During my move to NJ, I was checking out this gym. I def did not go back to this gym after being spoken to very rudely to the staff. I asked some members and they said they've experienced it themselves or heard of the unkind conduct. Would not recommend for anyone looking for a gym in the area. FINALLY, CP has a gym of its own and its FANTASTIC! The owners are friendly, hands-on, and responsive. In how many gyms do you receive a congratulatory high five from the owner after an rigorous run?? In fact, the entire staff, from custodial to personal trainers, are exceptionally friendly supportive. It's also open 24 hours, which is essential to an excellent health facility (because it forestalls periods of bottleneck). The equipment is cutting edge and the facility is always clean and well kept. I've been a member for almost a year now and can attest that it runs like a well oiled machine! read more

This is probably the best gym I have ever been a member of. I joined when they opened in August and owners and trainers are super friendly and hard working. If I have questions they always have answers and they never fail to treat me like family. They make sure every member is taken care of. The gym is extremely clean and everything is brand new. The hydro massage room is a great perk too! I think the price is great considering the location and the code purple classes that they offer are the best thing that's ever happened to me.
