I still have a bad taste in my mouth from when this gym was owned by Shawn Pyron. I was part of the personal training and classes...come to find out they kept my credit card on file and just kept charging me whenever they wanted. They were supposed to only charge my card when I had training sessions. And then when I started investing I found out they changed my rates and never told me. Gym seriously went downhill quickly. He stopped caring and the place was filthy. Interesting to see that it's still happening. When I canceled my membership I was told they deleted my card....well about 3 years later they started charging my card when I wasn't even a member. There's so many other gyms in the area who actually use the annual fee to upgrade equipment. Don't waste your money on this gym! read more

This gym is in a prime location, yet cannot capitalize. High employee turnover makes it very hard to get to know staff and trust they will assist you on matters pertaining to membership or training. Owner is obsessed with overpromising and under-delivering. read more

I'm being told reason for all of the broken equipment not being fix is because the owner Shawn refuses to pay for repairs. Per the person sitting in the office, he & his partners want to take over this ATF location but Shawn won't budge for some reason unknown to me. Right now 1 of the 5 treadmills work completely, stairclimber not working for a few months now. One of the treadmills was moved weeks ago & sits in front of the fire exit door. Cleanliness is a real issue for me as I am sure it is for many. Lots of work needed here. Restrooms are often in need of soap & paper towels on the weekends. A week ago someone rip off the door scanner therefore members can only assess the gym during the hours that staff are there which means no weekends, early mornings or evening/nights. As of 2 days ago, still not repaired. Up until a year or so ago, this was a great gym & I hope & pray it returns to this soon. read more

I love this gym. When I lived in Manchester, I loved coming here. It's the kind of gym you're going to love if you are an introvert and you care about fitness. It's usually pretty quiet here and always clean. They have a solid selection of fitness equipment including free weights, barbells and racks, strength training machines and high tech cardio equipment with personal TVs. The trainers are awesome and have great attitudes. Management is on point and everyone is very friendly. I miss it over there. read more

I went there to be a part of there advertised free 6 week weight loss challenge on Instagram. The doing the consultation never introduced himself to me or shook my hand. The he tells me that I have to pay him $399.00 insensitive to be a part of this challenge and if I loss 25Lbs. Only then will I get my money back. If I don't loss the 25Lbs. I will not get my money back. I told him that this false advertising there was no mention of this in the Instagram advertisement. His response was I won't make any money if I don't do the program this way. I was very disappointed by this. I went there because I am recovering from cancer and want to get my endurance and strength back from chemotherapy & radiation therapy. $399.00 is a bit over priced and for extremely expensive since I still trying to pay my cancer medical bills. On top of that the gym isn't worth the price. The cost of there membership is less than that. They are bunch of racketeers as far as I am concerned. read more

I have been participating in a 3 week trial that allows me access to a trainer (Shawn Pyron), a guide for meals and exercise routines that are accessible through an app- Trainerize. Shawn has been great about being available with any questions and connecting to discuss if I encounter any challenges with a workout or food plans. If you are looking to make a change for the better (as is my case) or you are deciding if you should pursue Anytime Fitness, you should give it a go. Brand new gym (as of a few months now), still has that new gym smell lol. All new precor branded machines. All the cardio equipment has priva. AWESOME. The owners name is Sean. Extremely nice guy. Every time I walk in he's immediately smiling and asking how I'm doing. His wife is also an awesome person and she tends to be there helping out a lot. I've been a member of ATF for three years now... Glastonbury used to be my home gym... Now Manchester is... Haven't used glastonbury since this one opened Prices for ATF are steep.... But then again the higher price point and contracts tend to weed out the POS people so not only is the gym not half as busy as any other gym.. But you feel more comfortable to set your phone down.. Or jacket with keys and a wallet and know they'll still be where you put them upon returning. read more

During the Covid-19 crisis he went above and beyond to offer not only his loyal members but interested parties FREE health and wellness training. I can truly say that participating in his 21 day fitness challenge (which he meticulously customized for me with diet and exercises in consideration of my background, limitations, expectations and goals in mind has already set me on a path to be a better, stronger and healthier human. There are definitely upsides to this place (the security, the hours, the newer cardio equipment, and the two squat racks for a small place). However I was definitely ready to bounce when my contract was up. For one thing, strength training equipment was always strewn everywhere. That is partly standard shitty gym etiquette, but also they had lots of random bits of equipment (like 3 random weight kettlebells) that actually had no place to actually live. And, again, the gym had 3 kettlebells. Total. I also generally went outside of staffed hours and, dude, when there are only like 8 people and it is super quiet, annoying people are even more annoying. Leave your shitty music blaring on your phone and walk away? Get on the treadmill right next to me and have a loud angry phone conversation right in my ear? Do random crossfit type stuff wrong, just between equipment because there is no other place? Blare random crap on the TV (or, more often, it was just set to blare with no remote in sight)? Check, check, check, check. And no guests were allowed. For $40 a month that is ridiculous, every budget gym $19.99 membership includes that. I thought I would miss this when I went back to a big chain gym (for half the price), having to fight for parking, not being able to touch the squat rack (and the cables are dicey), and keep an eye on my stuff. I don't. Especially because the last time I went back to workout, they had shut off my key early and I was left shivering in the cold and SOOL. No, no one will let you in, because they could have their memberships cancelled for it, and because random weird people will stand in front of the window and make faces at you (awkward). read more

I am totally blown away by this place! I'm just visiting from Las Vegas, and I love that I can come anytime and do a virtual fitness class. I have never seen anything like it! I really expect more from a gym that's 2x as expensive as other commercial gyms nearby. They have no bumper plates here and have only two racks with no dedicated bench areas. One of the barbells has almost zero knurling on it and that sucks when they only have two 45lb barbells to start off with. The only upside to this place is that it's usually empty. They really need to update the equipment and weights they have. read more

A lot more civil clientele, clean, well kept facilities, new equipment, and it's never really crowded. I Joined Anytime Fitness in Manchester late May, 2017. Manager & owner are both outstanding young men. Gym is very clean and has excellent equipment. Members of all ages & abilities use this gym. A variety of options are available to meet everyone's fitness needs. I look forward to going everyday! It's a Great facility but the change in staffing is pretty obnoxious, seems like new staff every visit- as soon as you get to know someone there gone. Definitely need more kettle bells, and another recumbent bike, probably wont renew my contract once it's up- for the price I pay a month I can see new faces every week read more

Anytime Fitness in Manchester is an awesome gym. It's open 24/7 to members, and all the equipment is like new. The free weights area is small but well stocked with plenty of dumbbells, two squat racks that can double as bench presses, and a variety of other equipment. While the gym space itself was great (clean, lots of equipment, friendly patrons, etc.) I ran into problems when trying to cancel my membership when I no longer needed it. I was not given a copy of my contract when I signed on, not were the cancellation procedures explained. I left a message 30 days before I wished to cancel, since I moved out of town and could not visit the actual gym to cancel in person. No one returned my call. I called back closer to the end of my term, and spoke to John. He failed to give me all the information about how to cancel, and I had to call back a second time for him to send me the forms I needed. In the mean time, my contract had conveniently expired and the 30 day processing time will result in another charge being applied to my card. How much? I'm not sure, I never received a copy of my contract to know how much an out of contract fee is. read more

I have certain goals that I am aiming for, and anytime fitness has become exactly the place I need to be. my trainer Kyle, is the perfect example of what a trainer is. He is focused on MY goals. other places I had found always had their own agenda, full of drama. not at anytime fitness. Kyle is prompt, and best of all, he keeps all the training sessions fresh so I never can guess what will happen next.. I see gains every week toward my goals. not many people can say that .
