Michelle's sessions exceeded my expectations! - The sessions were really well organized - she emailed ahead of time what to expect for the week. So, I was mentally prepared going in - She was there and ready to go - and full of positive energy. - She worked with everyone (Who were at different fitness levels) at their level and pushed us to get the best we have. - Sessions were a good mix of HIIT, Pop Pilates, body weight workouts, interval training, boot camp and - She took inputs from the class to see what worked and include them in the class - She is very organized with the workouts planned, music and intervals preset, guidance for new moves and routines ahead of doing them! - She is super encouraging, offers variations based on your needs, works around the class, monitors for posture and pushes you through the session... - I signed up to work with her on my nutrition as well - she had so many suggestions and followed up weekly to ensure I was on track - I now plan my weekly menu - all meals + snacks. she had a lot of great ideas that I could incorporate with my dietary limitations. As to results - I can see my workouts working... my running is getting better, I am eating healthier (most of the time :) ), muscle definition that I had lost, is coming back and I am enjoying working out, I've signed up for session 2. Every class is well planned and in tune with the pace of the class as well as every individual. Michelle is constantly offering differentiation in movements to accommodate several fitness levels. One detail I appreciate SO much is how intervals are predictable because she meticulously plans music and uses a timer app. One of my personal pet peeves is the trainer who says thirty seconds but then keeps you going for 60. That never happens with Michelle. The mix of boot camp, circuit training, and Pop Pilates is not only fun, but very effective. I leave every workout feeling stronger and although exhausted, happy with the changes my body is undergoing. Michelle radiates positive energy and through keen observation and with simple suggestion, ensures she's pushing you towards your best fit self, i.e. there is NO TRACE of military bootcamp humiliation or veiled insults in the room. I was impressed by how well she was able to judge my abilities (she was better at it than me!) and how attentive she was during our training. I could relax and exercise without any anxiety. I have to say that it was really impressive how she was able to give me just the right amount and type of encouragement and support I needed. All of these things led me to enjoy my gym time even more. It's been over a year now, and my results are great! I am so much stronger and capable now, with better stamina, and have more self confidence. I am seeing some body recomposition happening and I couldn't be happier. Several members routinely refused to share lanes and responded aggressively when approached. Despite bringing these concerns to management, we felt that staff failed to enforce the rules and, at times, appeared to accommodate those monopolizing the pool. The situation became so unpleasant that we ultimately stopped feeling comfortable using a facility we had once enjoyed. If you're considering joining, save yourself the headache. She noted one shoulder was up two inches and not as far back. We warmed up the muscles with light weights for my biceps then went on to my triceps. With a resistance band we increased the blood flow to the muscles further. "Hug the noodle, squeeze it between your scapulae." she said while I was lying on a foam noodle. It is hard to describe the sensation of squeezing a muscle that has not been used in over seven years. I'd done to the third best trauma center in the country, tried three physical therapists, and three personal trainers at a big box gym, I had never been offered this exercise. I will come back and update my review after a few months or years of training here. UPDATE: After thirty sessions I added a star. Britt ha consistently modified each exercise we approach better than any therapist I have worked with. I did the math. LA Fitness offers bulk training that cost MORE than here. My personal trainer introduced Linda's class to me and for someone who's not as motivated to workout cardio more than once a week in a gym, I'd have to say I am HOOKED! Linda's first class was neither intimidating nor difficult. Although I say Barre workout is both a physical and mental workout; I also have to say, 'Don't think, just do." Linda is patient and encouraging and her moves are easy to follow. Though she tells you to take your time, she does want you to push your limit a little more each day. I had my first session last Thursday to test out the workout and my second session today, I found myself dancing at home and even in the shower! My goal? I can't wait until my thighs and legs are strong again! I HIGHLY recommend people (not just women) to take her course because Linda has so much enthusiasm and passion for what she does. I really like how every workout is different (hard to get bored!) and each time I go, what I do for the cardio side compliments what I do in the strength portion of things. I know I've gotten considerably stronger, healthier and happier since I've been going to OTF again regularly. I am not a skinny-minny but I definitely feel much more confident in my body because of my workouts Plus, it's a fun community where I've made friends and found support in my health journey. They always do a free trial so always worth a try! Plus there's Orange Theory studios in most places so when I'm traveling, I've been able to pop into other locations fairly easily and know what's going on during the workouts.

I almost cried--it felt like I was being scolded by a teacher. I know calling on Christmas Eve wasn't ideal, but this was my fourth attempt to get a proper itemized receipt.
