To be fair I did not make it upstairs so I cannot comment on the AC issue but I must say this is the cleanest, most organized AF i have been to. I have been to maybe a dozen other AFs in different cities and states and I was most impressed by this AF. The plates are very organized and easy to find what you need. I like to walk in between reps for steps and this AF was very conductive to getting steps. Will be back next time I am in Santa Fe. This place is rated way too low IMO. I wanted to like this location, but I'll be continuing to use the other gym. The erg machine's chain is very worn and catches on every pull, several cardio machines feel unstable, and I couldn't properly adjust the spin bike. Since these are the machines I primarily use, I won't be returning. read more

This club deviated from the normal AF in the layout includes second story loft filled with cardio machines. While this is nice, the AC does not seem to make it upstairs. It's warm, and there's only ONE (1) fan, which sucks enough for me to subtract TWO (2) stars. Rest of club was typical: clean and functioning! read more

This was an awesome location. Then new people got hired. Now? All one can say is, "Shut the hell up, Chris." Yeah, some of us love working out, but very few of us enjoy hearing somebody yap about "me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me." I am now joining the members who have transferred over to the St. Mike's location because of this kid. read more

I joined this gym when I first moved to Santa Fe a few months ago. I've been an Anytime Fitness member before and I can confidently say this has been the most disappointing, grimey, and neglected location I've joined. I had the call the police on a man who was filming women working out in the gym. He was there in jeans and flip-flops, plainly not there to workout. The management wrote off my experience of feeling unsafe as an anomaly and suggested I was profiling their "trusted members". The equipment is dirty and most of it has torn padding or missing/mismatched pieces. The floor is really disgusting and the mats they provide are stretched out, leave a residue on your palms, and are shredded up. The staff even sent out a survey asking about their member's experience, which I answered honestly, and they proceeded to berate me in an email response... for the opinion that they asked for. Huge red flag when a company doesn't empathize with their members feeling unsafe and instead makes them feel alone, shouting into a void. read more

I just pushed send on this - so I don't have a response from Chuck (and who knows if I will receive one). If I do . . . I will update here: Hello Mr. Runyon: My name is Steven P. , and I wanted to reach out to you regarding an experience I had at one of your Santa Fe franchise locations. First off - I would like to say how much I like the AnytimeFitness brand and business model. I believe you offer access to a healthier lifestyle, by offering affordable access to a gym/gym equipment, and offering 24/7 access, so I truly thank you very much for that! My issue begins with having purchased a 3 month membership in Santa Fe in March of 2021. I can't remember the name of the person who sold me the membership, but it was a reasonably pleasant experience. I did find it odd that I had to buy an access fob for $45(?) dollars and it wasn't returnable/reusable or refundable (upon return) - that it was just an additional cost for membership. I paid $161 up front, and was under the impression that after three months, my contract with that l location/franchise was completed. I was quite surprised to look at my American Express bill this morning to find I had recurring gym membership charges from this location for June and July. I immediately called the gym at 10:30am, which was within their scheduled desk and phone answering hours. No one answered, and I was able to leave a message. In the meantime, I contacted American Express and started a "dispute". Once that was completed, I called the gym again only to get the answering service again. Less than 1 minute later, Victoria (the gym manager) was returning my call. She was very pleasant and said she had already refunded my July membership dues, and canceled any recurrent charges going forward, but was unable to refund the June charges because the amount of time was too great - the ABC AnytimeFitness software wouldn't allow her to refund that far back. I completely understand that I should have noticed these charges earlier. I also recognize that I could have been nicer to Victoria - she had done everything within her power to assist me. I tried to call back to apologize to Victoria, and (not surprisingly) the answering service picked up. When I went to leave a message, the system said it was "unavailable" for messaging. I get it Victoria - I wouldn't have wanted to speak to me either . . . I will try again tomorrow, and hope I'm able to at least leave a VM apology . . . What upset me, and why I wasn't as nice to Victoria as I could have been - is that when we were speaking she said "they try to reach out and let people know that the three month membership is going to start on a recurring monthly charge" . . . Well, I can tell you for certain - no one reached out to me. I can also say to you, that from my perspective, when I purchased a 3 month membership and paid upfront, I didn't expect it to go "recurring" after the 3 months. I was there for a 3 month sabbatical and only wanted access for 3 months. I guess in closing, my ask is to get the additional month (June) membership dues credited back to my American Express. I've been coming here for almost a year. What happened to the air conditioning? Machines always available. But it's disgustingly humid/hot. There is absolutely no air circulating and you can feel it the moment you walk in the front doors. read more

The female manager/worker was unwilling to accommodate out of town visitors, we printed out a 7 day free trail and she gave us a a bunch of excuse on why the free day trail does not work. All we wanted to do was work out, we would have full out all the paperwork require but she clearing was not will to accommodate us and she basically gave us a fake smile and said good buy. I would think that a gym would be interested in accommodating out of town visitors, this gym apparently doesn't. read more

Out of the two Anytime Fitness in Santa Fe this one on the south side is horrible. The gym is tiny and gets full of people very easily to the point all machines are taken up. You can never have a comfortable workout here. The woman in management is also extremely rude and is ruining business for that location. I would definitely recommend the anytime fitness on the opposite side of town though! read more

Great gym. It's small but clean. The showers are even clean, super bonus. At the other Anytime my shower shoes were afraid of the floor and the equipment was pretty beat up and old. This gym has all the necessary equipment you need for lifting and it is also clean and in working order. The managers Chris and Erin are awesome. They are friendly and make you feel welcome. Also, they are actual trainers and know their stuff, not just sitting behind a desk like some places. Definitely the better Anytime Fitness in Santa Fe if you can handle the size of the place. read more

I had 3 months left on my contract (and they only skipped one month's payment during the entire Covid lockdown). After explaining that I have an immune-compromised individual in my household and would not be going to any gym until there is a vaccine, the owner via his pleasant employee, advised he could not give me any break. The grasping stupid reason is that the breach of contract would set a precedent for others to break theirs. I go out for groceries on off-hours and that is all. Covid is a breach of contract that nobody expected. Of course, I just paid it with absolutely no consideration ever of putting a family member's life at risk over $120. I will not be signing on again with anytime fitness when this is over and will tell my many friends and co-workers in the area about my experience. I understand business must be way down, but in desperation, they apparently value money over safety. They did not even offer to let me use it at a later time, which may have gotten me back in the door. read more

Very rude and unwilling to help their customers. Seems like they make you jump through extreme hoops in order to close an account. So thankful Planet Fitness opened in Santa Fe, much better customer service, and equipment. read more

This gym is ok but not great. There is limited equipment and most of the members spend more time tying up workstations texting\socializing instead of working out. The main feature is its location on the south side, but other than that it's best to avoid. read more

This gym is VERY small and always too full, making it extremely hard to get a good workout. There is a clique of younger guys that work out there, take all of the weight equipment, and are nearly hostile when you want to use the equipment. My problem may have been that I don't speak Spanish and could not communicate with them beyond a smile, I am not sure. My girlfriend went there twice and left in tears both times as these people wouldn't leave her alone. If they weren't hitting on her then they were staring at her and making comments; you can imagine how uncomfortable this could be. To make it worse, the management is unprofessional and will not listen to your concerns. I know this gym is very convenient to the Airport Rd area, but I would AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS and find a better gym that has more space, more/better equipment, and friendlier people. read more

I was a previous client and I returned back to this facility. I found Luisa extremely helpful and VERY customer service oriented. The facility is clean and the membership is extremely affordable. I found other facilities crowded and this was frustrating for me. This is a great place!!!!!! read more
