I like this gym! Good selection of machines and not real crowded. They have lots of wipes distributed around to keep machines clean. I am so grateful that they got a new club manager, Tiffany is amazing. I reinstated my membership because she is there, the gym is so much better, Cleaner, and functioning great! Best of all she is so kind and helpful to members... I always found the previous managers to be unhelpful, and often even rude... Or not even present! Please give this gym another try if you haven't been there since Tiffany has been in charge! It's awesome and never too busy! And I hope The owners keep Tiffany because she is the reason I'm there! read more

Very nice Anytime Fitness. Caught a few workouts while visiting Wimberley. I get to a lot of the Anytime in the Hill Country area and have to say this one was really nice. Well equipped and the equipment all working. Excellent use of the space they had. Entire facility very clean both times I went in and I did an evening and a morning workout so they are obviously keeping this place up. Love the ability to use any club with Anytime. Very convenient when on the road. read more

Being a member at Anytime Fitness for 12 years, I'm deeply disappointed by the recent 75% increase in my membership fee from $24.95 to an unjustifiable $40/month + tax. Despite spending 7 months annually abroad, management overlooked my request to maintain the previous rate. Adding to the frustration, the freezing policy imposes a 10-day delay before taking effect, resulting in a full month's charge even during my absence. This inflexibility demonstrates a lack of support for loyal customers. The inconsistency in pricing and the indifferent response from management is disheartening. Anytime Fitness Wimberley fails to accommodate long-term, loyal members, exhibiting a disregard for their needs. Regrettably, this experience earns a 1-star rating for this location and it's management. I'm open to changing this review if management wants to reach out to me, but so far I've basically been told to pound sand. read more

I thought this facility was trying to make an effort at getting its act together but it was short lived. Somebody cleaned a couple of times but it really needs a deep clean. 3 machines have been out of order for months and months, TVs haven't been fixed "because it is expensive and we have other things needing attention" and, now, another machine is down. Anytime Fitness in Wimberley is not coping with COVID-19 very well. They continued to charge me for dues throughout the pandemic, even when their location was closed and they refuse to cancel my contract. They told me that they would put my account on hold if I came into their office to sign a piece of paper. I explained that is not a reasonable solution to the problem of physical distancing. I was told by the manager Pierce who happily accepted my bank information in February 2020 that I could cancel at any time with a $50 cancelation fee. A month later I email Pierce to say that due to asthma, I will no longer be able to attend the gym because of COVID-19. Silence. Pierce is no longer there. I am being told that Pierce was wrong and that it is not their problem. Also, not their problem is that Pierce didn't explain that a monthly membership was an option; no, he locked me into a year contract that I cannot get out of, even due to an Act of God. I have reached out politely and kindly via phone and email numerous times and am continuously not answered or given the run around. I even offered to 'buy out' half of my contract up front, explaining that COVID-19 is not their fault, nor is it mine. I am very frustrated. I have tried very hard to give this business a fair opportunity before posting a negative review. read more

Just popping in to leave yet another disappointing review. Things seemed to be looking up for about a week, I'll give it two to be generous. The facility was being cleaned regularly (equipment still broken down and disgusting ie:elliptical/treadmills) However, that only lasted a little while. The BIGGEST issue of all, a broken AC unit. It's been broken for at the very least a year. Temperatures are upwards of 105° plus and the AC is broken. The owner is aware. The membership manager (apparently not a facility/property manager) is aware, yet it's not being handled. "Quotes have been acquired" but it's 90° plus in there. It's 80° at 5 am. If we wanted to workout in a sauna, there are places to do so. We pay membership dues to have a clean, cool, well equipped workout facility and per my last review, this lackluster gym is a far cry from any of these expectations. read more

Not a good gym, far to expensive, around 3 times the price of golds gym and about 1/3 the size. I find my self not wanting to go to the gym and I am a guy who can work out 10 times a week. read more

We travel a great deal in our RV, and we were really happy to see that there was an anytime fitness here in Wimberley, where we spent a week over the holidays. We were shocked at how filthy every piece of equipment was including the floors and the trash cans that they were so full that there was falling trash onto the floors. Being that we are all trying to stay healthy, in the state of affairs I would think that you would take extra special care. This was most filthy gym we've ever been to read more

I joined this gym about a year ago and just love it. It's almost never crowded (unless you go between 7-8am, then you might have to wait a little bit for your preferences) and they keep things maintained very well. I pointed out a problem with a machine and they fixed it very quickly. I love it here and am glad to have found a place to workout regularly in this small town. Thanks! read more

Honestly, I can't thank Jo, Sarah and everyone else at Anytime Fitness enough. Every time I visit Wimberley, they open their gym doors with open arms with family-like hospitality. Though the gym is on the smaller side, it has every single thing you need to complete any workout. Even has 3 squat racks....3!!! Gyms that i've joined in the past that are 5x the size barely have 2. They've got Wifi, showers, free weights that range from 5lbs to 100lb. If you want to kick your holiday weight in the butt, this is the place to go! read more

My favorite little gym in Texas, I started working out here 3 years ago when I lived in Wimberley and the staff and the members are all very friendly while still respecting your space while you work out. Jo, is the most helpful person I've ever met she goes out of her way to make sure that her gym members are happy. I have always been a gym/exercise person and have experienced many gyms in my time, but this has been the best of all. I never thought in the little town of Wimberley that I would find such a great gym.....and it is 24/7. The staff is as friendly as it comes in knowing all the members and yet maintains the needed professionalism that makes it a such a successful business. I can say this as well....I went to Jo the manager and expressed that I would really like to see some large bands for exercising....I had recent knee surgery and use bands in PT and wanted to start using them on my own. Wimberley's Anytime Fitness - amazing, a workout facility in our area without the 'big-box' gym frills. I finally found a workout gym that's easy to access, always available, and still offers personal training. The larger gyms should learn from this. I don't need all of the big locker rooms, showers, and 50 tread mills - I just needed a place to stop in, workout, and leave. Be very careful when you allow Anytime Fitness Access to your bank account. When COVID 19 started back in March I stopped going in, but left my bank draft active because I wanted to support a local business. About 5 months later I called them and asked to switch me over to my free Medicare plan with them. They said the would do it after I gave them the account number for the United Healthcare plan. A month later they still took out the full fee. I called and they said the guy shouldn't have done that over the phone and that I would have to come in in person to cancel (so much for COVID 19). I finally gave them a hand written cancellation notice at the door AFTER they had taken out the fee again and the capital equipment fee of $70+. I called today after they took out another $46 and they told me that it was my cancellation fee and I was free to use the gym for 1 more month. I have been polite, until I handed them the letter, and they have taken over $300 out of my account with me not using them at all. I will be very cautious to never allow another gym to do this again. read more

We just moved to the area and were looking for a new place to work out. The convenient location and ample parking convinced us to go with this one. It has plenty of cardio machines with cable tv attached to each machine, and a nice array of weight machines and free weights. There is a row machine and a stretch area as well. It has a place with cubby holes to keep your small belongings and a shower room. It's not big, but you will get a complete work out here! read more

This gym is small and to be expected. But being so small and for a super sweet community, you'd think the owner of this gym would have a heart to clean it. The bathrooms were a mess...the floors were filthy especially in the weight area. I have my membership in McKinney Texas where the owner takes pride in his establishment and sees the importance of keeping a "health" club clean. I was appalled at a bed bug found on one of the orange floor mats in the weight area in the Wimberley gym. Really? I just about puked. So sorry this sweet community has to put up with a uninvolved proprietor. read more

Wimberley Anytime Fitness did not handle COVID response well at all. They continued to charge me for membership during the mandatory statewide shut down when we couldn't use the facility. Their gym was extremely dirty, even before COVID, and during COVID stayed out of paper towels and cleaning supplies on a regular basis. Additionally, I never saw ONE person wearing a mask the entire spring or summer of 2020 so I stopped going and then stopped payment on my account. I left several voice mails at the gym land line and mentioned each time to please call me so I could settle up the charges but did not wish to have them auto drafting for a membership I did not feel safe using. ****CRICKETS**** I sent a certified letter, sent many emails, many texts and left many voice mails. I never received ONE shred of communication -- not from lack of me trying like crazy to make contact. And now they had the nerve to send me to a collection agency?! And the collection bill is 50% more than what I owed on my contract. This owner is checked out. The employees are checked out. The cleaners are checked out. The members not complying with COVID protocols. There is ZERO consumer protection here. ZERO. I think it's worth having this on my credit report as a matter of principle. Get it together, Wimberley Anytime. You have much room for improvement. I'm sorry for any difficulty you had during COVID and hope you recover soon, but from a consumer standpoint this is a massive fail. read more
