He showed us so many of the keys and he knew a lot about the birds and the history of Cedar Key itself. Unfortunately the boat they gave us was TERRIBLE and I'd be embarrassed if this were my company. The boat was dented up outside (not a big deal) the seats were ripped and foam coming out, the floor and seats had mold growing all over it. I would never rent this boat to anyone advertising my company on it, truly an embarrassment. We've used Cedar Key Island Tours many times in the past and will definitely return to them and steer clear of Cedar Key Marina II.

Elizabeth took us to Lemon Tree Gift shop first where you have an opportunity to see so may unique gifts many produced by local crafters. We also spent time in the Artisans Art Gallery (most of us went back to either of the stops after the tour because we had seen something to purchase). However, the highlight was the four restaurants on the tour where we were treated to such incredible food pairings. Trust me when I say, no one left hungry! We were treated to unique American dishes, BBQ, seafood, and home made doughnuts and ice cream. Jason texted (three of) us to forewarn about the expected crappy weather day on 24th March....the advice is still ringing in my ears "BRING ADEQUATE RAIN GEAR"....of course I didn't. No sweat / great story. 25th was a great day..plenty of fish and sunshine, perfect day on the flats. Jason is considerate with his charter rates and if you're a vet. (as two of us are) he's definitely your guide. We'll definitely be back for more...I may even bring "adequate rain gear" !
