One thing I always appreciate about here is how friendly, caring, and informative everyone is. Whether I have questions about anatomy or aftercare, they always explain everything clearly and never make me feel rushed or confused. I'll mentally prepare for it to hurt and then suddenly they're like "all done!" and I'm sitting there like "oh, that wasn't bad at all" haha. I don't have any tattoos, but I wanted to go to a tattoo parlor for some new ear piercings, because I knew they would do a great job just from WOM. Looking around, I enjoyed seeing the butterflies in display cases and didn't think too much of all of the animals placed on walls and desks. Juvenal (the artist) told me the owner enjoys taxidermy, and I very slowly accepted that these were real animals. The irony of being able to sit at a museum and draw stuffed animals without a care, but now in this setting seemed eerily fitting. Juvenal did my piercings. They're perfect! I've been wanting to do this for years. I don't have a good excuse to why it took so long. But I know it was the right time. I bled. 0.o Fitting for the setting, eh? They were all cool people, too - Juvenal, Ernie & Tany. We chatted a bit before I left. The whole thing was an experience. It felt unnecessary, unprofessional, and honestly made me hesitant to return. These days it seems like you can't ask anything without someone turning it into something political, and that's not what I came in for. I did go back for a second visit, and that experience was completely different -- much more easygoing. I guess it really just depends on who you get. Still, that first impression was annoying enough that I've never looked back since. If you decide to visit, I recommend coming with a friend, especially if it's your first time.
