Overall experience: Excellent! Artist: Tian I've had two tattoos (so far), both from Tian. The first one was shortly after my 68th birthday. The second one was a few months after my 70th birthday. Tian was attentive, patient, comforting, as well as considerate of my concerns and thoughts. Most importantly, he was VERY good with the fine lines!
I really loved my experience at Jane's Tattoo. Tian did two tattoos on my forearm and he was wonderful. He was so nice and sweet and just a great tattoo artist. I would definitely, and probably will, come back. I am from Colorado and was in Riverside for work and am very happy I found this shop. Parking was easy, prices were fair and talent was there. Thank you! My pics aren't good but I was excited to post about my experience.
I had my first tattoo done here by Tian, and it was a great experience! I was relaxed the whole time, to the point where I could have taken a nap (and almost did lol). Tian is very detail oriented, and he designed my piece perfectly. It's original and captures my love for reading. I was even there when Jane was working with someone else, and I was greeted warmly by her and overheard her attentiveness to her clients. Overall recommend.
Had a great session with Vanessa yesterday! I'm so happy with how it turned out, it's exactly what I asked for. She was patient when designing and tweaking it and in total I was there about 4 hours from design to finished piece, not bad! The place looked clean and organized and wasn't too hard to find. I will definitely be back for more pieces from her!
Incredibly impressed with the fine line quality and gentle hands of Tian. Jane was so accommodating with really last minute matching tattoos (day before notice). She was willing to work with our schedules and provided a lot of appointment options to choose from. Tian was so nice, attentive, patient, and comforting. We had an idea of the design before hand and Tian drew the design right before we each went. It wasn't painful, similar to a sharp pen. The tattoo took maybe 30 minutes and the process of talking/designing took ~30 minutes or faster. We get one free touch up which we haven't used yet, but we are impressed and delighted with the results. We all plan to get more tattoos from Tian!

If you're looking for someone with a keen eye, who's good at placement, and executes clean lines and amazing detail without a heavy hand, I HIGHLY recommend seeing Tian.

I initial found them on Yelp and then went to their Instagram page to look at their art work. I sent an appointment request, was contacted the next day, and an appointment was at for about 6 weeks later. It was well worth the wait! I've been working with Vanessa and have to say that she is absolutely wonderful! Vanessa is an experienced artist with a great eye for detail, and the ability to make fantastic suggestions about your tattoo placement as well as the artwork. In fact, I love working with her so much I brought my daughter here for her first tattoo and she loved it as well! Vanessa tattooing is impeccable. She is a master at clean lines, details, and placement. I have the utmost trust in her and her skills! She is always honest about what she thinks about my ideas and if she believes it's better suited for another area of the body she tells you! They specialize in fine line tattoos which means your ink will be beautiful but it will be more delicate looking than traditional tattoos. Once healed these tattoos, look just as good as they do when they are fresh!
I don't know much about tattoos. So, when my wife got one, and then my son, and his wife, and various other people in my life, and it just seemed to be "a thing" I thought I would find out. So I did. And I decided I wanted to get one. I'm 68 years old, and I think I can f'ing do what I want! :-) So, Long Story Short: I got a simple "Atheist" symbol done by Tian. He worked with me on size and positioning based on a drawing I gave him. It took about 40 minutes of his time - which seems reasonable. I am super pleased with the end result. The lines are clean, and exactly as I hoped they would be! The end result looks very "casual", yet is full of surprising details.

I recently lost my two fur babies of 14 yrs & wanted something to always remember them by. Loved the design, how clean it came out & the fact that she was so gentle. I was expecting it to be painful because of the area I chose & it wasn't at all. I would recommend Jane to anyone! Thanks again Jane for the design & for giving me a fitting tribute to my pups.

I was grieving the sudden loss of our sweet Chihuahua and was looking to do a memorial tattoo to honor her. I looked through the work of the artists here and decided on Vanessa. She was kind enough to give me an appointment only a couple days after I filled out the request form. Vanessa is amazing at what she does and is such a professional. She works efficiently and I feel she truly capture the essence of our little girl. She did such a good job with her that I had her do one of my first boy who passed away 13 years ago. I had always meant to do it, but just let life get in the way. I was a little picky about placement but she dealt with me with absolute grace and patience. I was blown away by her work of my little girl and just as impressed with her work of my boy. Thank you Vanessa! No words can truly describe how appreciative I am of how she handled my tattoos. read more

I came in for my very first tattoo and the experience was amazing. I came in with 2 of my girls and Jane led us into the studio. It was very open and clean and after I signed the consent form we discussed size, color, and placement. I felt very reassured with the conversation and she was very kind. I just put on my headphones and brought something to squeeze for the pain and it honestly went very well. Initially she told me it would be around 2 hours but it was less than one hour. She was very efficient and she made sure I felt comfortable and places pillows for me. I would definitely come back and even the friends I brought with me said they are coming back for their tattoos. read more

My first time getting a tattoo and I couldn't have picked a better location. Before getting my tattoo I was nervous for two reasons: one, would it be painful and two, what if my idea didn't go as planned? Thankfully Jane, who was my artist, did a fantastic job at putting the idea and concept behind what I wanted and making it an even better reality. Seriously, she's awesome--they all are. Pain wasn't as bad as I originally thought it'd be, and she (along with every artist there) will let you take a break anytime it's needed (although Jane got it done in roughly three hours--no breaks). The whole shop is nice and clean. Everyone there is awesome and they do a really good job at making one feel comfortable and welcomed, which is a great thing. Their artistic skill is one of the main reasons why I decided to go with Jane's Ink, and after my first-time experience there, I can confidently say if one is considering this place, do not hesitate--you'll be taken care of. One last note: the whole, "Once you get one tattoo you'll want more..." is absolutely true. Now that I've gone through my first experience getting a tattoo, and it being such a positive experience, I'll be sure that when I decide on another, it'll be here at Jane's Ink. Absolutely loved this place and my tattoo. Jane asked me exactly how I wanted it done and made my vision come to life. The whole experience was gentle and the place was a vibe, it was cleaned and everyone was very friendly which calmed my nerves down a lot. I was very happy with the result of my tattoo and quality of the experience I received with Vanessa! The booking process was very quick and very easy! Day of, she made sure that I was comfortable and happy with the design, making sure to ask a lot of questions to ensure that it was what I wanted. I had my first tattoo done by Xin, and I had a lovely experience! We had to reschedule a few times because of covid circumstances, and she was very understanding. During our appointment we were the only ones in the shop, and Xin made it a priority that I loved the customized design before continuing. She also was diligent about being sanitary during the tattoo procedure. For my first tattoo experience, I felt minimal pain with Xin. She was gentle and caring throughout my whole experience, and I will definitely recommend this shop to my friends and family. read more

It was my first time ever getting a real tattoo and I was super nervous. Vanessa (my artist) was really sweet and calm with me, and super accommodating to help me fix a slight mess that I did in giving her the design. I asked her to do four Roman Numeral style dates that meant a lot to me and I messed up the first date. Thankfully, we were able to successfully incorporate another important meaning to me. I am super happy with my tattoo and I will most definitely be coming back!! read more

I am so incredibly happy with my experience at Jane's Ink. I set up an appointment with Vanessa who was very helpful and communicative before the appointment. I had a vague idea of what I wanted when I went in and she took it and created the most perfect tattoo for me! The process was a lot quicker than I expected which was nice. Jane was the sweetest super talented as well my dad passed a couple of months ago and I wanted a tattoo that would be in memory of him, she gave me an appointment and helped me finalize what I wanted since this was my first time she took it easy on me so it was painless. Jane is amazing! I got my first tattoo with her, a memorial tattoo for my husband who recently passed away. How long does it take to hear back about an appointment?
I usually hear back after a few days (within one week at least), but it's dependent on how many requests they need to respond to, how busy they are, etc.
Info states no visitors during COVID. Since COVID is over are they allowing other people in during the process? My wife is getting her first tattoo and would like support.

I think as long as you have a source material or drawing they will work with you. Reach out to them to make sure that the time required hasn't changed, you want to get the work done in one sitting I presume.
