I've started appreciating Japanese food only few years ago, but now I'm addicted. This is a very…read moresmall sushi restaurant (5-6 small tables) which is better know as a take-away. As I live in the area I've been there few times and the quality is very good, even if there's no much choice: 90% of the menu is either maki or (to a lesser degree) nigiri and sashimi with a very limited selection of hot dishes or desserts - but it is supposed to be sushi place so that's fine. The fish they use is mainly salmon or tuna, as it happens almost in every Japanese restaurant in Ireland - I guess due to the Irish market where many species are exported (even to Japan!) and a few are massively imported so it's not easy to have much variety of fresh fish on the restaurants' menus. However, the way they prepare sushi and present it is very attentive - especially in regard to the quality of the fish and all the other ingredients as well. Yamamori is still my favorite spot for sushi (even if I usually go there for ramen) but it's probably double as expensive as Michie Sushi - and the quality is not that better, while the place itself and the service are maybe worth the pricey bill. They are just different things for different occasions: Michie location is a little bit odd and the decoration of the place is surely not cool as Yamamori, but it is an humble place where they do honest Japanese sushi. They used to serve complimentary green tea, which was a nice way to make you feel welcome, hopefully they'll start doing it again.

Great sushi place in the business area Sandyford. They offer a variety of sushi dishes, soups and…read moreeven some curry plates. Great staff and service. The service is fast and accurate. Greta place for a quick lunch.
