Recommended by my mechanic at Southbay Euro Car, this was the first time using this company. Spoke with the owner, Alberto, on when I could come down to get an estimate on the work required. The driver's seat had a panel, the length of the seal that had cracks. I was met by Luis, who works with Alberto. I was given a cost estimate and approximate time for the job. Arrangement were made with Alberto on the day/time to drop off the car. Today was the day for the planned work. I arrived at 8AM. I spoke with both Luis and Alberto. There was a little bit of a debate on the finish time, but Alberto assured me they could have my car ready by 2PM. Alberto called at 1:30PM and said the car was ready. They take credit cards with a service charge. They accept cash, check and Zelle without a service charge. He said they were open until 5PM. I called a friend for a ride down to the shop. Whoops - Alberto forgot to tell me they are closed daily from 1-2PM for lunch. I was dropped off at 1:45PM so I didn't wait long. I called Alberto and he apologized for not telling me over the phone. Luis showed up in 10 minutes so all was good. Luckily it wasn't raining like it was in the morning. The driver's seat looks great. I can't find the before photo but I'm very happy. My friend had the front seat of his sequoia reupholstered and when I saw his new seat I was totally impressed and knew right then and there I will be getting my seats done next. The job was so spectacular you would never know that the seats were redone because it looks like his Sequoia came like that. They look better than the original seats and we were told they will last longer. They did it in one day. Alberto is very professional and so is Luis. My friend was very very pleased. I would definitely recommend AP Auto interiors. I will be having my two front seats in my 2011 Lexus ES done because they are pretty worn out and I've been using seat covers that I don't love. Alberto and Luis are AWESOME!! They did a VERY thorough job in repairing the interior roof of my Volvo C70. The first time they repaired it, it fell back down within 48-hours, and when I called Alberto, he told me to bring it back and they will ensure that it's fixed and doesn't fall again. If I could give a zero I would. Alberto is NOT customer friendly. I had the entire interior done from top to bottom $6K worth, original quote $5700.00. He does NOT follow or understand instructions. He nickel and dimed me halfway through the job, some legitimate. Took a panel back for redo said two days that turned into 6, when I went to pick it up there was little to no improvement, after another 4 days when I again picked it up, it was better but still not correct. We found out that the driver seat of my 2012 Mercedes E350 was peeling somehow and called them. We got lucky that they have some availability so we drove there at 10am. We are good with his quote and by 3pm everything was ready for us to pick up. read more

Alberto did a great job repairing the convertible roof liner in my Volvo C70. It had been damaged while being opened and he was able to fix it within a day. Most of the liner had fallen off its frame and now it looks and operates as good as new. His prices are very reasonable, too. read more

Alberto is no longer a place to get upholstery done, he "forgets" who his customer's are and "forgets" what appointment date he agrees with. I "believe" he didn't want to upholster my 1971 Mustang exterior headliner, and acted forgetful. I showed up 2 days before the day I needed to bring it in; to ensure a confirm day he asked me to bring it on Thursday and I said no, I need to bring it in on Wednesday and he agreed so when I brought it in on Wednesday. After being 1st in line and having a new battery replaced at Pep Boys, Lomita in 30 minutes out the door I thought why not call AP Car Interiors, Lomita & see if I could drop by for a quote to replace the sagging headliner. Alberto invited me to come right over. Received a reasonable quote and was offered to do the headliner right away and promised completion by 4PM! Pros: These guys are good at what they do. They do excellent job. Cons: The biggest reason for the negative review is that Raul (owner) is extremely moody. It is almost like you are begging to him to take a job. This is not how a business should run. This happened multiple times. Example: - He gives me a quote for some upholstery work. - Then after that I kept calling him and he never picks up. - I leave messages with his workers, he does not call back. - Then I go to his shop and he says he is not interested in that job. This kind of experience is unprofessional and frustrating. He might have a lot of customers right now, but being so moody and not keeping the customers happy is never good in the long run. read more

Alberto and his worker are top notch guys! I had them recover the driver seat on my 2001 4Runner in leather and it came out great. I had asked if they could make it cushier than original and they did a great job fitting the foam and not making it look ridiculously over stuffed. The seat matched the passenger seat PERFECTLY and feels better than ever. All the plastic pieces around the seat were put back on and nothing was broken, the seat heater works and reclining functions and lumbar adjustment works too! These details are things that upholstery shops often overlook my previous guys often left things loose and cars got damaged but I can definitely say Alberto and Luis (?) take good care of things and pay close attention to details. My steering wheel looks amazing.. the stitching is an exact match.. and I've seen other 300zx Turbo AE'S that have had their steering wheel leather replaced.. but not like mine. These guys were also much more affordable then some of the crazy prices I was quoted. I'm also now very use to dealing with non professionals in the LA area.. I've been yelled at and threatened by tweeker mobile mechanics .. lied to and made to work on my own car at shady autobody shops... A P Upholstery is like a diamond in the rough. Dishonest owner. I had him to fix my convertible's top. Then after couple of months it's already broken. The back of the top already detached from the car. The original one lasted 15 years, and the new one only lasted 2 months. He refused to fix it and said it wasn't his problem. He said it wasn't his problem because I didn't keep it clean, huh? I couldn't wash it because it would leak. He also called the police on me. Yeah, good luck doing business with him. read more

The prices are good but the problem is the owner , I think Alberto is very rude. He wouldn't let me ask questions about my work being done. Also they did a bad job on my trunk opener. The trunk opener stopped working about a week or two after it got fixed from here and he wouldn't fix it for me. After fixing my dent in addition, they broke the window and it wouldn't open but they wouldn't fix it. So if they make a mistake they will make you pay more money instead of them fixing their mistake. read more
