Our outdoor couch pillows were very beaten down and we took them to Henry for a refresh. Upon entering his shop I was immediately greeted by Henry who is incredibly polite and well spirited. He showed me the fabrics and told me about the cost. He was very communicative and very prompt w his work and responses. In the end it came out x2 better than the original manufacturing quality. I've used Henry's services twice for very different projects and was pleased with the results of both. First, Henry reupholstered the armrests of an antique chair for me that were worn out with use. Second, he fixed a vintage motorcycle seat that had seen better days! (See before and after photos). The owner charged my daughter $800 for four cushions. We got two other estimates both $320 or under. I ended up getting her deposit of $400 back with a fight. He wouldnt give me back all of it but I left with the material at least. I went down the street to Juans Uphostery & he only charged $30 a cusion for labor. His estimate was $320 for all 4 cushions for labor & material if needed. I cant believe this man can sleep at night ripping people odd. $200 a cushion is way over the top. . There is another review that said Henry charged them over $800 for 3 cushions also. I dont care what size the cushions are that is sickening. Dont go to this business. There is other honest owners out there! read more

The shop is nothing to look at (couch in the front office is decades out of date) but the service can't be beat. Instead of getting my couch reupholstered, I just had the cushions redone and they are fabulous; all firm and bouncy, just like I ordered. It's a bit daunting to describe the amount of ass support one is looking for in a cushion, but the woman was patient, helpful and totally got it. To top it off, she had the cushions ready in less than 24-hours because she didn't want me to have nothing to sit on for New Year's Eve. What a doll. read more

I decided for this place because of the reviews. We arrived with my husband to ask for an estimate to change the foam of 3 cushions on my sofa. Henry treated us very well and explained what type of foam was going to be used, although it was more expensive but firm as a rock, exactly what we were looking for. Henry came to my house to measure the pillows and took the old foams. 3 days later he called and told me that the cushions were ready and I had to go and pick them up. Henry could not do the delivery with an attitude and said that he can leave them at the door of my house (as he is going to leave something that cost me so much money in the street?) By luck, my husband was at home and waiting for him. Immediately we realized that the foam that he put on the cushions was not the one he promised me and for what I paid $ 869. I called him on the phone and told him that I was unhappy with his work and that he would please change the foam and put what he promised me for what I paid. We had to take the 3 cushions back to his shop and in 2 days later he finished his work, we had to go back to his shop and pick it up because he did not have time to make the delivery (I live 5 minutes from his shop) After the had redone the 3 cushions they are now all firm and look better than his first job, something that he could do it in the first place. I am going to recommend that you do not pay him for the entire job until you see that the job is well done, that was my big mistake. read more

Good first impression. Showed up on time. After a over a week delay, we got our couch back. Delivery was not nearly on time as quote though. New leather smell and $1600 down we found out only the very tops of cushions were done, but worst the leather he used had defects. We paid for a good top quality top shelve leather. The excuse was, "you will not see defects in a day light". I got a news for you Mr Henry. You can really clearly see defects in day light! No excuse for you to use defected leather nor BS your customer! To add insult to injury his excuse to change only tops was "changing entire cushions would be too much work". What? Isn't this what you do? We did pay $1600 for this to have cushions redone with new leather. We picked Henry based on two good reviews on yelp. Now I cannot look at my couch. It's ruined! Advise, do not trust this guy with your furniture, boat, car! read more

I live in Long Beach and the only reason I decided to give them my business is because they were proactive and called me. I had called them once, months before, for an estimate on a cushion for a window seat after randomly getting their number because I saw their van. Diane called me out of the blue to see what I needed upholstered and offered to correspond via email and text. That was actually very helpful because I have an infant and getting things done just don't happen very easily nowadays. I decided to go there to look at the fabrics with the baby, even though it's almost 30 min away. I found something pretty quickly but received a call the following day telling me there's not enough for my cushion (of course, ugh). Well, Diane was nice enough to cut samples from other fabrics of the same color and mail them to me. I didn't LOVE any of them but settled on one except when she told me it would be an extra $50 for that fabric (back to square one). Weeks went by before I could go back but Diane mentioned that once it's completed they can deliver it. I guess she was wrong because Henry said 'no', that I live too far away. The cushion turned out beautifully and service was great but minus one star for saying that you can save me a trip when you really can't (it's only a big deal because of the little one). But I would still recommend them! read more

It did take a few days to get a reply, but I absolutely recommend the work that Henry was able to do with my 25 year old rocker/recliner. Amazingly, he was able to match the color exactly to the original. Do not be in a hurry, and you will love the outcome. I am totally satisfied with his work! read more
