But as time went on I could see that the hard to reach places didn't appear to be done, like the roof. I was told that they would contact me at 6 months to bring my truck back so they could check it out and detail it. Of course the detailing would be a couple hundred dollars. I never heard from them and I missed the 6 month return. So I called to get the truck in to get detailed and possible recoat and they are telling me that my 6 year warranty is void and no good. The text confirmation had me booked for a large truck/ van/ 3 row SUV. My grand cherokee is a 2 row SUV, so I'm not sure why I paid the same price ($350) as an Escalade, but whatever. When I dropped it off I showed her the problem areas on the bottom of my rear doors where rock salt had really done a number over the winter. She told me there's a few different things she can try and if she has a hard time with it she'll give me a call. I didn't get a call. In fact, I called them twenty minutes before closing to check the status and was told it was done. I go to pick up the Jeep and we both approach the vehicle together and the problem areas look exactly the same. She told me it looks like it's etched into the paint and they can try a paint correction for more money ($150), but can't do it for another 9 days. What happened to trying a few different things? What happened to giving me a call if that didn't work so I can approve trying something else? I do take responsibility for misunderstanding what a full detail includes, although it was never explained to me by the shop aside from saying "full detail inside and out." I was under the impression they would be cutting, polishing, and waxing the vehicle. The reality of it is they wash the car and apply some sort of quick detailer spray. It's basically a glorified car wash for hundreds and I would have never agreed to pay that had I known this beforehand. And to top it off, it wasn't even a very good car wash. The inside of the windshield looks awful, there was tree sap spots still on the paint as if no effort was made to remove them, the lift gate jamb wasn't cleaned at all, and the windows were still wet when I drove away leaving water marks on them and the doors. When leaving I scheduled another appointment for 9 days later for them to work on the problems spots on my 2 doors. After I got home and looked everything over I decided that I would be nuts to spend additional money, bringing my total to $500, for the quality of work that's done here. I pulled out my DA polisher, some ultimate compound, polish, and wax and did the doors myself. I was able to get the tree sap off with a little bit of goo gone and 5 minutes of effort. Lesson learned: If you want something done right, you do it yourself.

"BEST DETAILER IN SAN ANGELO"…read more Took my 1999 Vette in for A/C repair, Passenger Window not operating and the Steering Service Column Lock is not operating to an Auto Service place that was highly recommended. Checked reviews and they are really good, so I scheduled an appointment. They did fix/replace everything the Vette needed while waiting for the part to arrive and after having it for 12 days it was ready - that was not a problem. Arrived at to pick up the Vette and saw it parked out front with a lot of other cars. I then noticed a bunch of white spots all over the hood of my Black Vette as tho it was sprayed with something (not paint). Checked in the Office and one of the guys was going out to bring in another car for it's service. He was out for awhile and I went outside to the Vette and there he was looking at the 'spray' all over my Vette. He didn't know this happed but knew what it was - Hard Water Spray from the A/C the Vette was parked near. He said they would take care of it and made a phone call to an Auto Detailer in the area. It was 'The Detail Guy' (Andy) and that he would take care of this for me. Paid my bill and drove to The Detail Guy (just a couple blocks away). Saw Andy, he checked over the Vette and asked me if I could bring it back the next morning and he would clean it up. I agreed and returned the next morning. Andy stated that the Hard Water Drops from the A/C has been on there for several days and he will carefully remove it all. Andy had the Vette for almost two-full days and all the Hard Water Drops were removed and this Vette looks Amazing. Andy (the Detail Guy) is Awesome and I will take my Vette back to him for detailing in the future. My Black Corvette Convertible never shined so good. The Hard Water Droplets are gone and my Baby is like New once again. Take your Car, Truck, SUV, Bus - whatever you drive and Andy will have it for you better than new.
