I arrived picked a color sat in the chair. Courtney informed me there would be a $5 to remove the gel polish she put on my nails at my last pedicure. I explained that I asked in advance when I booked, and it was confirmed - no fee. The owner came over and said confirmed a $5 fee and the woman that had answered the phone denied she had confirmed there would be no removal fee. I am absolutely disgusted by the entire situation. Bad business. Bad customer service. The lack of transparency is unacceptable and I did not get a pedicure. I will not be returning. I've gotten manicures all over the country. Lived in lots of different cities. Nowhere charges you to take takeoff gel polish that was applied in the house.

They were supposed to be hosting a Botox party for my doctor on December 16. The week before the event, I called the owner's cell number to register and she never answered or called me back so I called the 561 number on the Yelp app and Camilla registered me. The day of the event I showed up and couldn't find the location. It's a strip mall with lots of doctors offices, gyms, etc but I didn't see any signs for Brazilian Body Care and it was 7 pm and everything was dark and there were almost no cars in the lot. I called Camilla back and she said she wasn't sure where the location was (huh?) and gave me Fabiana's number to call. Again, no answer or response to texts. Now the party started at 6:30 so I've been wandering around a while when Camilla texts me at 7:15 to say she just found out the party was canceled by my doctor at 6:15 and Fabiana is in the process of calling all the registered participants to let them know. So she wanted me to believe that not only did my doctor cancel last minute but that it was taking the owner over an hour to call the 7 people who registered to tell them the party was canceled? Needless to say I was pissed. At that exact moment, Fabiana calls me on my cell to ask me if she missed a call from me. I explain the situation to her and she tells me Camilla lied, SHE actually canceled the party yesterday because there weren't enough participants and that Camilla had called everyone the day before. Why I didn't get a call I don't know but clearly one of these two is lying and is irresponsible. Fabiana seemed really upset and told me this was a new business and she understood how frustrated I was at having my time wasted and offered to PayPal me $150, the cost of the Botox at the party so that I could attend the next one for free. I thought this was a super generous offer and texted her my information, along with the screenshot proof of what Camilla had texted me. Now I never expected anything more than a sincere apology and maybe a discount to show good faith but when you make an offer like that you should keep your word. Unfortunately Fabiana never responded to my texts, nor did she send me the money or any coupon or discount at all. It seems like this is a really sketchy operation and I would avoid at all costs. There are too many reputable salons in the area to be playing games with these two at Brazilian Body Care.
