Maggie helped me feel at ease and had me out of there in under an hour looking gorgeous with my fresh set of lashes! Hooray for efficiency! Since the first visit, I've also used Brittany for fill ins. I have been beyond happy each time with the end result. The salon is clean and disinfected between each client. I went in to have my lashes done and made it very clear what I wanted I even showed the technician two photographs of the exact style I expected. Instead of listening, she gave me something completely different. When I complained, she casually offered to remove some lashes, but by then glue was already on my natural lashes. I refused because I didn't want my real lashes ripped out. No explanation of the procedure was ever given to me, and I was left feeling uneasy and unassured about the damage that could be caused. After repeatedly emailing them, I finally received a call but not until days later, after I had already left town. They claimed they were "professionals" who could remove the lashes without damaging my natural ones, which I absolutely do not believe. And when I told them it was too late because I had already gone on my trip, the woman on the phone actually had the nerve to say, "There are people dying in the world, and the least thing you should be worried about is your eyelashes." That is one of the rudest, most unprofessional responses I've ever heard in my life. I never once questioned their ability to apply lashes. What I questioned was the fact that I received something completely different than what I requested. It's no different than walking into a salon with a photo of a hairstyle and walking out with something you never asked for. I asked for one specific look, I was promised it could be done, and instead, I got lashes that look like they belong on a Vegas showgirl. To top it off, the last phone call ended in an argument, with them dismissing my concerns and refusing to take accountability. I decided to try Deka Lashes since it was closer to home, and while the salon itself was nice, my experience was far from what I expected especially after paying extra for an experienced tech. From the start, my lashes felt like they were poking my eyelids, which has never happened to me before. I've been getting my lashes done for over 10 years by different professionals, so I know what a proper application should feel like. To make matters worse, my tech spent the entire session smacking her gum. I politely asked if she could stop because it was distracting, but she completely ignored my request and continued chewing loudly through the entire appointment. When I left, my eyes were red, and my tech told me it was normal, blaming it on the fact that I didn't mention I had my contacts in. I always wear contacts during lash appointments and have never had them cause irritation like this. Then, within hours, lash clusters started falling out in chunks, which should never happen with a properly done full set. By the next morning, both my eyelids were swollen. When I called the salon, they told me it was likely an allergic reaction to the glue fumes and that the swelling would go down on its own. But the next morning, I could barely open my eyes. It took five days for the swelling to finally subside. For the price I paid especially for an "experienced" tech--this was beyond disappointing. Between the poor application, lack of professionalism, and severe reaction I had, I won't be coming back. The owner is a rude phony and doesn't hire experienced lash techs she complains that you're taking too long ( when after week, my lashes fell out and I had to go back again and pay again) because they're lash tech takes longer than it should because they're not experienced enough ...and stop asking for people to pay more money for a master tech when all of them should be of master experience. I've tried three different tech s one the lashes fall out the other one I have too much glue. I wanted to get some eyelash extensions. Being a first time customer at Deka, they gave me a great promotional price. They have membership option too, and it's really worth it if you decide to get extensions every month. My normal eyelashes are really good length but for the dramatic effect, I like to get them done a few times a year. Ashley was the eyelash expert who worked on my eyes. It was a two hour job and she was very pleasant throughout this experience. We were talking off and on. Their beds are super comfy and they offer a blanket if you need it. You can make the appointment reservation on the phone or thru their website. The check in is quick as well when you get there. End result- I was happy with my result without it being over the top. I have worn lashes from another salon with no issue. Came to this establishment and had lashes applied, full set, and brows dyed. When I left, the dye was all over the top of my forehead and I had to go back for them to fix it. Within a few hours, my lids were irritated. I called and was told it was the flue and "we'll use glue for sensitive eyes next time". Unclear why they would not have done this in the first place. However, the lashes were applied at the start of August and as of the end of October, the right eye is still having a reaction that led to a need for surgery two days ago to remove a growth caused by improper eyelash application. This business refused to refund me. I had to go to my bank to contest the charge, showing them photos of the damage to my eye and the report from a different salon who took the lashes off and treated my eye prior to the MD, who attest in writing the lashes should have been glues to lashes and instead were glued to skin and hair follicle. read more

This place has gone down hill recently. It just changed management, sent out an unprofessional email to all clients talking bad about the last management, and worst of are now charging customers' card on file for service not received. I cancelled my membership and they are making me pay an additional month stating that is their policy even though I was told I could cancel at anytime and not informed of the policy of charging an additional month. They emailed me stating that my eyelash artist had been fired and if I wanted to make an apt with someone else I could. I did not want to see someone else so they charged me for not coming to an appointment. Seriously? I think they are clinging to life. DON'T sign up for a membership you could end up stuck paying for service you are not receiving or worse yet, end up like my girlfriend with a double eye infection...yuck! Today I came for my appointment at 9:45 am. It was scheduled for 10 am and I made the appointment two weeks ago. I received a text to confirm earlier and I responded. After waiting for 45 minutes outside of the locked door a young woman finally arrived. I told her the situation and that I had been waiting for my 10 am appointment. Informed that my technician, Maggie, is no longer there and no appointments were available. And, oh, the attitude. I'm leaving tomorrow for an out of town family wedding so this is very disappointing. This place was recommended by two friends and so I'm pretty upset after all of this. I have been going to Deka Lash since before Covid, was always very satisfied with my lashes. went back in July for a new set of lashes and to say I have been disappointed would be an understatement. I am a member, taking advantage of their summer membership special. My lashes last, at best one week!! There is no way to speak to anyone at the salon on the phone, text messages is the only method of communication they now offer. My credit card has been overcharged without my knowledge and I have not been siccessful in speaking to anyone about it. The owner of the salon, Rick, is unresponsive and has yet to offer a solution to my overcharge. I am disputing my charge and will report this budined to the better business bureau. First and last visit. Wish I had some nice thoughts but I really didn't not have a good experience. I was told to arrive at 2:45. I got there and door was locked. Another customer and I were both standing outside not sure if they closed for the day, went out if business already or what. 3 girls come walking down the shopping center without a care in the world, don't say a word and unlock the door like they are doing us a favor. (Huffy and unprofessional). I was asked if rosemary and lavender bother me because That was the scent of her body lotion she was smearing all over herself. Shoved a picture in my face and asked me what look I wanted and hoped there was enough time as it was getting late. Well, I had booked an appointment but we can advance to make sure that I would have it done before my sisters wedding. Not only was I informed that if I were to cancel within 24 hours I would get charge $20, but I had received a message about two hours before hand saying that the salon had canceled my appointment. To me I do not see the logic here, I was not able to rebook for the same day or given a store credit for canceling with such short notice. There is many salons with higher customer care. read more

This was my first (and unfortunately last) time at Dekalash. The woman who did my lashes greeted me and said she was running 10 minutes late. I ended up waiting over 20 minutes because the woman before me was late -- don't like being punished for someone else's issue. There should be a policy to reduce the length of service or turn people away after a certain time. The tint really burned my eyes and it took a while for the burn to go away. And to top it all off, my lashes are curling in crazy directions, which I can only attribute to a poor perm (I've had tint and perm dozens of times in various places, and it never comes out this wonky). After all of that, the woman asked "would you like to leave tip on card or cash?" instead of "WOULD you like to leave a tip?" Give me 20 minutes of my life back, a good service, and don't phrase an optional tip question like that and I'd have given a tip. Would not recommend this place. read more

Place is pretty and clean. My lashes looked great and I felt the staff was knowledgeable on their craft. I would recommend others to this location. They have a membership program that if you sign up is about the same as you pay going to an independent person so not that lucrative but for a chain that will be held responsible and you will have an expectation on services, I guess it justifies the cost. Horrible experience !!!! The worst part is the salon manage will not answer any of my text, phone calls or comment on my reviews. I had lash extensions put on. When I was finished it didn't look the technician did anything. The lashes look exactly the same as when I went in. The lashes she put in were very thin and she did not put many in. I asked if she could use a different lash. Some thing fuller. She said that was the only lash they offered. I expressed my disappointment and asked her for a partial refund. She asked the manager who denied my request. She offered to redo the lashes at no charge, which would be a waste of time since according to the tech they only offered that one lash. I Ieft the salon totally devastated as I had a formal event in 2 days. The lashes were actually falling out already in my car on the drive home. I was able to get an appointment at another salon and was very pleased. A few days later I received a text from Deka Lash stating that would again redo my lashes using a different lash!!!! Are you kidding me! What happened to they only offered one type of lash. I have been getting my lashes done for years and had never had an experience like this. I just move to the area and pick this company because they had good ratings. So, now I am out $199 plus the cost of getting the lashes done again. My advise, DO NOT patronize this salon. read more

He was a very professional individual and was very respectful towards my mother. I ended up buying a great package deal for eye lashes from Rick as a gift to my mother.
