We hired AP Corp to install solar window film in our newly built home. The company recommended the Avery Dennison Spectrally Selective Series Film, which they claimed was used in museums to prevent fading and would protect our floors and furnishings from sun and heat damage. Their sales rep assured us that our leather furniture could be placed near windows and rugs could be moved freely without concern for fading if we chose this product-- a key reason we moved forward with the $6,000 installation. Unfortunately, the product has not performed as promised. Since installation, we've seen clear sun damage and fading in multiple parts of our home including our flooring and leather furniture. We contacted the company about our concerns. They visited, took photos, and acknowledged the issue -- but their only solution was to charge us even more to install a different film. Since then, they've stopped responding to calls, voicemails, and emails. This experience has been incredibly disappointing. I made an appointment at AP Tinting over the phone. The lady that answered the phone was extremely knowledgeable and personable. After talking through several options, I decided to get all windows + my windshield done on my vehicle. They explained that they're pretty booked but could fit me in mid next week. Great! The morning of the install, I brought my vehicle in at the scheduled time (11:30 AM) and the person working the desk helped me select the window treatment. Around 2:45 PM, I called in to check on the status and they explained that it'd be 30-45min. Roughly an hour later, I drive in to pick up the vehicle. The person working the desk goes in the back to check and shortly after tells me that "there's a problem with the windshield install. It's going to be another 45 min". Unfortunately I was in a rush so I tell them to forget it and just bring the car around as-is. Mistakes happen, I get it but you should probably call the customer back if you know they're on their way and it's going to be 45-60  min extra until it's done. 15 min later, they finally bring the car around. I drive off and water starts pouring on me from INSIDE the dashboard. Having had tint done on dozens of cars before, I understand that water is involved in the process. This however was something else. Water was pooled on my floor mats, shift boot, speaker covers, and was coming out of the vents, steering column trim, and dashboard. Excess water aside, the inside of the vehicle was filthy from all the soapy water that was sprayed everywhere. Had this not been a brand new vehicle, I may have let it slide and just simply not come back. Unfortunately for me, it was brand new (less than 1k miles) and now not only do I need to wipe down all the panels but I genuinely worry about the long term effects on the electronics that were exposed to so much moisture. Their manager was nice enough to get back to me after I called to complain but didn't offer anything more than a "sorry, we use water in the process". Their staff working the front desk are knowledgeable and kind but there appears to be a disconnect between them and the installers. As for the installers themselves, the work they did appears to be good but they're careless. Use a towel to protect the interior panels, trim, and electronics. If there's overspray, wipe it off. It's not that difficult. Needless to say, I will be taking my other vehicles elsewhere. read more

When I received the email it didn't have the information we spoke about (I already had the product, the email contained an offering of their product). I responded 6/21/23 and didn't get a response. Let me first start off with saying I do not usually write reviews but in my opinion through my experience with this place, the quality of my auto tint has been horrible. I have had tint on three of my vehicles in the past and have gone to many different locations. AP was recommended to me by a mutual friend from the gym so I figured I'd give it a try. The only reason I did not go to the same shop in the past is because my vehicle is a 2023 Mazda CX50 and a lot of people do not have that vehicle in their plotters and I did not want people hand cutting on my brand new car. The day came to get my tint done and everything seemed good until I was able to get home and really look at the quality of work done on the tint. The two front windows had an excessive amount of bubbles and these random dots that I have never seen before on vehicle tint. And like I said I have had tint on all of my vehicles and none of them had this issue especially the random dots that look like possible lint or something. So I decide to call back a few days later and of course they want to blame it on the film stating "the film may be defective". So I told them okay that's fine I will need to bring it in to be fixed. And keep in mind I spent 650 dollars on this tint for all around suv including the front windshield. I visit the shop for a second time to get the front two windows fixed which is covered under warranty. I drop the vehicle off and then they call me back in about an hour saying that the vehicle was finished. Now if you ask me, an hour to pull two pieces of tint off and to re tint it seems pretty fast. Unfortunately due to it storming very badly and pouring down rain I could not really inspect the windows well at AP. While I am driving after picking up my vehicle, I look at my two front windows from inside and realize that the windows looked the exact same as before. Same dots and same bubbles that I took it in for to be fixed were still on the two front windows. Now initially I believed that they actually changed out the film due to there appearing to be soapy water on the windows as if they put a new piece of tint on. But no, pretty sure that they literally just threw soapy water on my windows and made it appear that they changed the film like I wasn't going to notice. So now tomorrow I have to call again and actually get this fixed for a third time. This is honestly such an inconvenience to me and I am the last one to bash a company but when I am paying 650 dollars for tint I expect to get quality work especially when I've had half the price places have way better quality. The ONLY good thing I will say about this company is that they do seem to keep you up to date if other people cancel their appointments but I would not trust them to do your tint. I'm sorry but AP has really disappointed me and would not recommend this place to anyone who actually wants a quality tint job done. Let's hope this shop actually has the decency to fix my two windows. read more

I wanted to get the windows on my 2014 Corvette tinted and found Absolute Perfection through Yelp. They are a little over an hour away from Bethesda, but I wanted the best- and I got the best today! Everybody I dealt with was a true professional. From Jen when I called on Monday to schedule, to Becky for answering my questions over email the past couple of days and spending time with me this morning helping me make a decision on which percent to go with, and finally Tim, who did the installation. It appears that Tim did an absolute perfect install! The edges of the tint are so clean, it looks like the glass came from the factory that way. The Spectra PhotoSync tint is a bit more expensive, but I'm happy with the decision and think it is well worth the cost. I highly recommend Absolute Perfection! read more

I got my Subaru Legacy 4 door sedan tinted here three days ago. I decided to go with one of their best films here Formulaone Pinnacle series and I am very happy with the work and film of choice. This place is the only place in the state of Maryland that carries this film. You call anywhere around the DMV area like Rockville and or Northern Virginia, every shop there carries 3M color stables. I am not saying that film is bad but I believe 3M is doing a deal with a lot of the shops here so everyone is carrying that film. This place is far but it is most definitely worth it. My experience here was very very good. I just want to start out by saying this is the ONLY SHOP that answers email. As a young professional I do not have the luxury of just picking up the phone on a work day and just start calling tint shops. I had a friend do most of the calling around the DMV area for me. The customer service is great here, the email response was within 30min. The quote was very detailed and packed full of information and it made my decision coming to Absolute Perfection that much easier. my car cost $425 for all the windows except the windshield. The film comes with a lifetime transferable warranty. YES, It is pricey when you call or email Absolute Perfection but it is WORTH IT!!!! I have gotten six vehicles tinted so far and this is the furthest I have ever driven and the most I have paid. All in all I strongly recommend this place and you won't be disappointed! read more

Car Window tint - Car Paint Protectant Film (PPF)- Car vinyl chrome delete--- I gave stars in relation to $$ paid for job done, & customer service cancels itself out (which I'll explain) I had just bought a brand new car and garaged it a few days until it was time for my appt. Ok, now to be thorough in explaining why I'm giving only one star. First let me say the quality of the window tint portion of the work I had done was 100% perfect. Only disappointing part was I had to clean the inside of my car (door panels) after the fact from residue. But the Tint was and still is great! The PPF, I did a lot of research prior to selecting AP because the ticker PPF 8mils is harder to put on than regular color vinyl 3mils. When I first got my car back it was recently washed and hard to really identify anything wrong. After a few days to a week I started noticing the edges of the PPF coming up in areas all over my car. I called AP and they told me to bring it back. As I brought it back and showed one of the guys who had worked on it he agreed and responded in a way that made me feel like it wasn't him that had done it but a coworker. Though, in talking with him it appeared he knew what he was doing, and I think he is the one who fixed the PPF. He appeared to cut the corners properly, and edges either longer or shorter so that the 8mil PPF would stick. By removing the previous individuals work, you could visible see the cut marks of the from cutting the vinyl that goes into my cars paint. I was told this is normal, but talking to others in the industry it is not. The PPF has lifetime warranty on the product but again is it starting to come up in areas that I will either have to treat myself or take to another place in my local city since I moved across country week after last appointment. The chrome delete was horrendous, first it's comes with no warranty despite being extremely expensive. The job looked tacky, and started peeling off after first visit. Parts but not all were fixed during second visit and now they are all coming off again 4 months later. Customer service was nice. So that was a plus, and I'd rate a star for that except for a few reasons. First there are birds pooping all over cars towards the road side of the property. I asked for my car to be placed inside and they agreed. Then it was left outside. How do I know, well two reasons. One, even though they tried to wash it the poop had gotten into crevices all over my car into my frunk, trunk, and door jams. Second my car has real time GPS so I opened my phone and saw where it was located. Second Myself and the person picking me up had to drive over an hour and a half each way each time and there was no compensation for anything. I hate sounding spoiled or picky but when you're paying over 10% of an 60k car for work to be done, you expect... as the name suggests Absolute Perfection. Now I'm across the country & have to locate another dealer to address these issues. read more

I recently purchased a new car and was very interested in getting my windows tinted. After lots of research and leaving messages and emails with tons of locations throughout the state of Maryland, only one of them stood above the others. Absolute Perfection won me over with their expert customer service. They quickly and effectively answered any questions and concerns that I might have. Any message I left or email I sent was replied to within a very short amount of time, compared to other tint places which three weeks later have yet to get back to me. Though this place is over an hour away from where I live, I was impressed enough to make the trip. Their prices may not be the best or lowest, but you're paying for a quality experience with seasoned professionals who know what they're doing and really care about making the customer happy. I had previously gotten a tint job that wasn't done correctly and being new to the area I did some research and I found AP tinting! They fixed my problems with the bubbles and how the previous tinting place didn't go all the way to the end of the window. She helped set up an appointment the next week for someone to come by my house and give me a quote. She also asked me to follow up in an email as it was quicker to provide a quote. So I did follow up and provided all necessary info...guess what, a week went by and ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSE, despite my effort to check in with them. We had Absolute Perfection tint the windows in our whole house in 2016. We had a window crack this winter and needed to get the TOP half of the window tinted so it would match the rest of the windows. I explained to Kristie that it was only the TOP half and not the whole window that needed to be tinited. Kristie emailed me the quote and told me it would be $185. I emailed her back and told her that I can't beleive they would charge that for one half of a window! She emailed me back and said she spoke to her manage and he said they would do it for $150!! No thank you. Needless to say, we will not be recommending this company to anyone and have found a company that appreciates its customers and will not take advantage of them! read more

I have had two cars tinted here in the last few months. The first time Tim was very helpful going through the different options by showing me samples and metering the effective tint % on top of the factory glass. On the second vehicle, I noticed a scratch in the film after installation which Tim promptly removed and reapplied at my request. This is the place to go for professional window tinting for your car. I drove an hour to this location in order to get a quality installation. I got my tint installed on my Volvo S40 R-Design in June and they did an amazing job. I asked for legal tinting for the state of MD (35%). I got the windows tested for my vehicle inspection a couple days ago, and they were exactly 35%. There are no noticeable bubbles and the film is flush with the pillars and the edge of the glass. I also got the clear ceramic tint for my windshield, with absolutely no flaws. The tint is high quality stuff and I have suggested this business to all of my friends. read more
