I came across Top Shelf Detailing while searching online for places to get my car problem fixed. Now I didn't have a engine problem or anything but my car window was left down this past weekend when it rained like monsoon season. All that water got in my car and my seat and car floor were absolutely drenched. There was also a nasty smell. I sent a message to multiple business on yelp and Ahmed from Top Shelf was one of the first to reply and even gave me an estimate. He also let me know that the smell is most likely mold forming and he wasn't going to charge for the drying part of the process. He was only going to charge for the shampoo and biohazard part. It was originally going to be a 24 hour process but there was much more water than expected so it took longer than I would've liked. But the job was done properly and that's what's important and Ahmed kept his estimate price the same when he charged me. This is my new go to detailing shop. My first experience with them was when Ahmed polished our car's headlights. His was the only shop to offer to add a ceramic coating to protect the plastic after it had been polished. Almost a year later, the headlights were beginning to cloud again, and Ahmed offered to redo them without hesitation. He explained that the ceramic coating had improved over the past year, and that the headlights shouldn't fog up again so quickly. While I was talking to him, I asked him a bunch of questions about their other detailing services. He was super nice and patient, and I could tell he really knows his stuff. I was worried about swirl marks if I had them polish the car, and he explained the thorough procedures they follow to prevent that and how they are actually paint correction specialists. I asked him what I could do about the black plastic trim that was fading all around the outside of my car, and he said "I'll take care of it." I told him I would pay him, and he said "don't worry about it." He even offered to deliver the car to me. Mind you I wasn't paying for anything. I ended up making it back to pick up my car after hours and he had just washed and treated not only all the plastic, but also the tires and removed all the bug guts from the front of the car from our recent trip....for free. The exterior looked great! That's someone who cares about the reputation of his business. I'll definitely be using their services and recommending them to all my friends. They had my car for 10 days assuring me that it would smell like "new car smell". When it was supposed to be done it wasn't; had to wait another day. Got it home, noticed it still wasn't right, had to take it back in again. still smelled heavily of chemicals. Since then it's become a petri dish of mold and I have to get a new car, because if you're asthmatic, apparently mold can kill you. Just flush your $1,200 down the drain. It would be faster and less hassle. SO disappointed and angry! read more

I scheduled a 9am detailing, they were very responsive to schedule me, however, no one ever showed up!! The appointment was only 3 days later, but I called and left messages and no response. I messaged them, no response. I really don't know if the business just went under (within 3 days??), but I would not use them. First let me say, I hardly write reviews. In this case my experience started off let some of the others who used this company. I sent it quote requests and Ahmed was the first to respond. The other companies wanted me to go to their website, send them my email address, or send them my phone number. I was specific in what I wanted and Top Shelf was the ONLY one who responded with prices and how long it would take. I ask for a price on full interior, exterior detail. To my surprise they actually sent a price and it didn't change one I got there. Simply in heard of!!! This place is what they say they are- Top Shelf. Kaegen was the technician that performed magic on my SUV. The body had severe oxidation and he made my vehicle look brand new! Go ANYWHERE BUT HERE! I payed over $200 for a full service detailing, inside and out. What I received was a car wash and vacuuming. They DIDN'T wash any of my mirrors or windows. I was supposed to get my car seats shampoo/ steam cleaned, and a nice cleaning of the interior. They did absolutely NOTHING. Top Shelf is Top Notch! :) My job requires me to travel often and lug around cumbersome equipment that scrapes up my car interior.
