I found Tech Mounting Pros using Yelp's "Project" feature after needing a handyman to come install…read morea tv to a bedroom wall in my house. The installer was quick to reply to my messages and questions about costs and time of availability. For one 55" TV the flat rate was $120 which seemed reasonable. I already had the TV mount purchased from online, I just needed someone to put it all together. The technician arrived at the specified time and date. He brought his own tools and vacuum to clean up after the work was done. It took about an hour to get it all done. At the end of the day, the tech did what he was hired to do. To get the tv mounted on the wall. However, after he left I turned the tv on and the top left corner had a pretty large dead pixel. One of those created only by applying too much pressure to the display. Most likely occurred during the lifting of the tv. I was proactive about the whole situation, contacted the tv vendor who I purchased the tv from and they were going to send a replacement tv overnight. I reached back out to the tech after the phone call and explained to him that the tv encountered display damage during the installation process. I didn't make a big deal about it, I just asked if he could return later this week to swap the TV's out. He gave me no pushback and agreed to come back when the new tv arrived. The TV arrived a day later than expected and the tech was not available to come by the day it arrived. I was determined to get this over with because I had to return to work the next day and also had to deal with shipping the damaged tv back so I managed to swap them out myself. Although the tech did offer to return to swap the TV's out at no additional cost I didn't get prorated for the subpar service that was done which is fine but next time if a 55" is too big for one person to mount I suggest maybe bringing an extra set of hands for help.

I was not sure they would be able to get wires to all the wireless access points. The guys worked hard and were able to get everything installed and when they left the house was better than when they got here. We recently needed troubleshooting for our home theater system and my husband made numerous attempts to reach someone at Empire for assistance. Calls were not returned and when he did manage to speak with someone about a service appointment, all he could get was "maybe we can stop by on Friday". Not exactly what we expected given the money we initially spent. Needless to say, no one showed up on Friday. We ended up finding another company that not only returned our calls, they sent a tech out a few days later who quickly resolved our issue. Then he went through our system and pointed out some optimizations that, honestly, should have been made during the installation. When you invest in Control4, any updates/changes have to be made through a dealer, so it's extra annoying when the dealer you purchased through no longer wants your business. We look forward to working with our NEW dealer to install additional home automation and home theater components.
