Holy Cow! You may want to think twice about using this company! I hired them to do a simple job. I…read moreneeded two Cat5 drops installed at my home and to mount two wireless access points. It turned out to be a fiasco! (It started on a Wednesday) He ran the drops but did not understand the instructions for using the Aruba wireless/ HPe access point mounting kits (part number: AP-220-MNT-W2W). In the process, he cut up and damaged one of the mounts as well as made over 8 screw holes in my ceiling. When he was "complete" he quickly took my check and left. Within the first hour of his departure, the AP's received power via POE, but no data. I immediately called and texted him about the issue. He assured me that he was currently going to his next job, but would return the following day (Thursday). The next morning, I texted him at around 8:30 am to confirm he would return that day to correct the cabling issues. I received a reply, that he was indeed planning on returning that day to fix things. At 2:22 pm, I once again texted him to see what the ETA was on returning. His reply was that he was finishing up a job and would text me when he was on the way. At 6:33 pm, I received no calls or texts, so I once again texted him to see if he was indeed still coming. The reply was "I'm heading to pull footage for the cops", whatever that means..... After that text, I never received a call or text again. Fast forward to Sunday, where I had to hire another cabler to come in and fix this guys shotty work. In short, he made several unnecessary holes in my ceiling, cut up and damaged an AP mount kit, and literally mis-wired the RJ-45 end connectors. He literally flipped the pinouts from left to right. In short, clearly, this guy is a jack-leg who doesn't know what he is doing with regards to Cat5 drops, RJ-45, Ethernet, and keystone connectors. He tried to take the "money and run", so I had to put a stop payment on the check.

Successfully filed for default judgment. Reached out early November in hopes of getting paid something. He promises to write a check but doesn't say how much it's for. A month goes by and no check. His response was "I thought you had received it". Yeah right. Then he says he will drop it off at my house that day. Again no check. Now he's saying he didn't mail it because I wrote a bad review and if I want any money at all I have to delete the review. Wonder how many other people he's pulled this with? This man has not kept his word to me so many times I'm losing count.

I learned of AV through our Neighborhood Resident Facebook site and sent a message. Message was promptly answered and date scheduled quickly. Communication was quick and professional with any deviation on ETA. Dex came by, was so very polite and professional. We bought a newer resale who was leaving us her $2000 Cameras and DVR. My hubs tried to connect the system and just couldn't get it to work and he can do anything. We didn't think to check the system being left behind because we never needed this type of security in 25 yrs. Well, Dex gave us the news that the DVR box wasn't working (why hubs couldn't get it hooked up). I think it was the port that was bad. He gave us a quote for another, said our cameras were 1080p so were not bad, but not the best. He went to pick up the new DVD and came to set it up. It was smaller, more compact which I like better and came with a mouse. When we saw the actual camera quality we were sick. You can't see anything. Virtually useless. Dex informed us that if somebody did come up and is caught on camera, the history stays in the DVD so if an intruder showed up it would still be able to be seen on another camera. This was comforting to hear, and we are now going to discuss having Dex come back out for installation of better cameras. We own the equipment at this point as we have already fulfilled our first 3 year contract. We are only paying for the monitoring now. We tried to have our renter take over the payments and put it in her named, or open her own contract. They don't offer contracts with renters, they said, but would look into it and let me know by the end of the day. Our renter was moving in and we needed to let her know. Four days later, after the renter moved in and opened a contract with a company who would work with renters, they said they would talk with her. Too late. Now that I've tried two methods to retain our contract and have been denied, I need to cancel altogether. Can't get anyone to answer my question over the phone and haven't heard back from the rep, Bryan, since Thursday. So frustrating as they want me to pay over $300 break contract. AVOID THESE PEOPLE!!

We moved into a home that had in-ceiling speakers already, purchased two new TV's, a full system of Sonos amps and a port, a subwoofer, AV receiver, power conditioner, etc. from Best Buy, and so our disaster began. One thing after another didn't work. Essentially, they didn't really understand how to wire a complex, pre-existing setup, and it was a frustrating mess. Best Buy made 5 or 6 visits to the house. On their first, they delivered a damaged $8K TV. The replacement TV they installed later went out for handling damage, as verified by Samsung, and they just washed their hands of us. They just hung us with a non-functioning TV outside of their replacement period, and Samsung noted that it was handling damage. We are STILL fighting with the credit card company on that one. That's where TV Installation Houston stepped in and saved the day. I wish we had known about them from the beginning! We nearly didn't find them--again, due to the generic name--but I'm so glad that we did. From our first interaction, J inspired confidence that our issues would be sorted out. He said that they primarily rely on Google reviews as he's not as familiar with Yelp, but they need to be on here! I couldn't find them here, or we would've used them from the get-go. They're hard to find on Google even, due to their name. We sold us a new TV at competitive prices, handled the install and got our system working again. They made sure all of our questions were answered and that everything was functioning as it should be. There were a few buried settings that we needed him to come out and change later, and he was very responsive and addressed our concerns.
