I called Dr. Jirovec's office with extreme tooth pain, and they fit me in immediately. I was scared to death, but Dr. J and his entire staff eased my fears by talking me through what they were going to do. They also frequently checked in with me to make sure I was feeling okay. They never once made me feel bad for neglecting my teeth for years. Dr. Jirovec is very concerned with making sure you are not in pain, and that you have the best experience possible. I have spent hours and hours in his chair this year getting my mouth back in top shape. Each visit makes me love him and his staff even more. He has not only helped to give me back my confidence in my smile, but he has helped me to conquer my fear of the dentist. He is my dentist for life!!

Then not even four months later two additional fillings cracked and failed, falling out and leaving me in pain embarrassment and additional dental bills as result. I would not recommend this office for any reason and will be filing a dental malpractice complaint with the KS Dental Board as well as a personal injury attorney. I would advise people that this office did something I think everyone should know, which is they submitted the claim to my insurance for payment twice. Thankfully insurance denied the second claim preventing them from filing multiple claims for the same work. The refuse to take responsibility for their poor work and will blame the patient or another dentist without any thorough evaluation and will say that his work is perfect when in fact multiple at least three at this point have failed in major ways, exposing the interior of the teeth. I have filed complaints with my insurance company who has started an investigation as well as will be submitting a complaint to the KS Dental Board for review and have contacted a dental malpractice attorney. This has been a major issue that his office and himself have tried to deny and leave my initial tooth that he worked on and failed exposed as a result. I have suffered pain, embarrassment, loss of income due to additional work needed to fix his mistakes. Under zero circumstances would I ever recommend going to this office to anyone for any reason, not even a cleaning at this point. When a provider knows they are at fault and wishes to not accept responsibility that is a major red flag that should worry anyone that has had work done by this dentist. I feel bad for his son, who probably does decent work, but due to his fathers negligence this office is gaining a very negative reputation. The initial process felt rushed, and when I called out some imperfections immediately after his work, he said that it was normal, which is was not. He has cost me a lot from my loss of time, income/wages, personal embarrassment, pain in my exposed teeth and jaw at times, and completely missing fillings that he did and again tried to bill my dental insurance TWICE for the same work. DO NOT TRUST THIS OFFICE.

Dr. Kong seemed competent and personable, but also displayed a bit of youthful overeagerness. Although Dr Kong may be passionate about his work, it may be wise to also be a bit more empathetic to the fact that these procedures can be very costly and daunting for patients. The biggest disappointment though were the office staff! The person handling the billing seemed paticularly incompetent. Despite having been provided all insurance information, including contact info, policy info, and fee schedule, several weeks prior to the scheduled appointment, on the day of appointment this person claimed to not have been able to verify or confirm any of the insurance info and demanded the full, noninsurance cash price for treatment. Keep in mind that the insurance company is one of the major insurers in the area, not some no-name, off-brand insurance company. How is it even possible to not be able to verify insurance information when you've had up to two months to do so, or to not even bother to let the patient know there was an issue? Truly disappointing! Even more problematic were the sanitary practices used by the person operating the CT scan. Although this person wore gloves, she used a keyboard to control the scanner, and then would literally stick her fingers into my mouth to adjust the teeth positioner, and then go back to the keyboard. This was repeated several times, but I saw no evidence that the keyboard was sanitized between patients! WTF?? This is not good! In hindsight I should have immediately addressed my concern, as I now have real fears as to what bacteria or virus I may have been exposed to! At the very least a peroxide rinse should have been offered. Again, Dr. Kong seems competent, but the competency of his staff is dubious at best. Buyer beware!

Their equipment is hands down better than most dentists', or at least far more thorough. I asked for a consultation, and we came to the conclusion that I didn't need one. The staff is very friendly, and I do recommend them. The only downside is that you have to pay upfront, and insurance reimburses you afterward. You need to have the funds available at the time of service.

I went in yesterday, Oct 25th, 2022, for my usual cleaning and checkup. After the checkup, the doctor suggested a fluoride tray be done due to recent x-rays for my bone cancer treatments and the potential for gum damage due to the lower quality treatment my health care provider allowed. The doctor asked for information on the energy provided by the radiation (30 grays) and possible damage to my salivary glands (none). Both (answers) came from my radiation therapist, who was very complimentary of the questions asked by my Dr. at LetThemSmile.com. The tray was measured, and I was to come back the next day to go through the instructions on how to use this device and the application of the fluoride prescription which was given to me. I went to my other doctor's appointment and called the dentist later and mentioned that for a couple of minutes description on the use of the tray might easily cost me an additional $80 round trip on UNBER as my car was stolen. The lady on the phone said, "Let me see if I can help you. She was gone for a few minutes, and when she returned, she said one of the employees at the clinic would come to me at my apartment and deliver the tray and go through the procedures. I was taken aback and thanked her for this unexpected service. I will never use another dentist! Sorry for multiple posts but twice my hometown was listed as in California. Sadly, I was already thinking of finding a different place because her staff are unprofessional. This was confirmed last week. I couldn't remember my appointment because I usually depend on a text notification confirmation. I didn't get the text until after I called. I called 24 hours in advance to learn it was the next day but I already knew I would need to reschedule for the following week. The lady on the phone wanted to know "what was going on" that I could not come and would just cancel my appointment. Why do you need to know this and why won't you just reschedule? I learned that I would be billed because I did not cancel 48 hours in advance. That's fine however, It doesn't make sense to send a text notification 24 hours in advance when your cancellation policy is 48 hours in advance. You should maybe send it 48 hours in advance so people will know the policy and not get billed when you have not provided a service. That's TACKY!
