Our homeowner's insurance required installation of an automatic water shutoff device, so I needed to find a plumber to install a Moen Flo device. After getting some much higher than expected estimates from other plumbers, I called Jon at Apex Plumbing. He came over the same day and gave me a much better price. Then I asked how soon he could do it and he said "how about right now?" and got to work. Less than an hour later, the Moen Flo is installed and working and my insurance company is happy again. We would rate him 10 stars if we could! Jon was able to come out within 30 minutes of our call, and performed the work the next day! He installed a pressure regulator and fixed a 2" irrigation leak that was in a difficult configuration. He made certain that we were aware of some of the unique aspects of our irrigation lines. He's honest, fun to be around, and does excellent work. He was reasonably priced and offered exceptional value. He explained every aspect of the bid before starting work. So... we contacted TWO other companies before I found Apex - both were very slow to respond. One even came out to look at our project(s) and then never followed up with a bid. SO frustrating... I used Yelp to write a handful of other options and got two official bids. Jon was the MOST responsive, quite personable and very timely. That way you can call John immediately one handed when your hot water heater dies and turns into a geyser and you're desperately trying to shut if off while your husband is trying to leave for work and the baby is crying :) John came highly recommended from my dad's favorite plumbing supply store, and its always nice when someone in the industry who works with everyone respects and recommends your work. Over the years he has been super responsive, prompt and level headed, and I appreciated that in an emergency he is also pragmatic. John, thank you for saving my Sunday! ---------- Moving into a new place the gas company technician indicated that they would not connect the gas because the line looked like it was corroding and needed to be replaced. My dad got a referral for John at Apex from a plumbing supply store he trusts, and I got a quote from another plumber who quoted $2500. John came to give a second quote and told me immediately that the pipe didn't need to be replace. Sure enough when the gas company came to turn it on there were no issues. John's first visit saved me a lot of money. John has obviously been our go to plumber ever since. He does good work and is quick and efficient. John is also very good at explaining things, providing recommendations and taking the time to answer questions. He is conscientious, friendly and responsible. He always shows up when he says he will, and jobs get done quickly and everything this picked up when he is done. I like that he charges an hourly rate so you know what you are dealing with. I had an issue once when John was unavailable and after calling a few places only to get vague answers and a refusal to give a quote or name an hourly rate I decided to just wait an extra day until John could handle it since I trust his work. read more

I tried fixing my water pressure regulator and ran into issues. Very odd issues I thought, as the pressure was not flowing to only a couple of faucets. Jon and I had a phone call where he instructed me on a couple possible quick fixes. I was able to fix the problem with Jon's help. He didn't charge me either! Jon was quick to reply to my quote request through Yelp, and he gave me the most reasonable estimate for the work I needed done - replacing a shower valve and raising the height of my existing shower head. He was also patient with my demanding ways, waiting for me to pick out the valve I wanted :) When he did come out to do the work, he was fast, professional, and did a great job. Amazingly our other shower valve had gone out the night before, so Jon got it working perfectly within the time he had already allotted for the other project. I hired Apex Plumbing Services again recently to install a reverse osmosis faucet on my sink and to unclog my tub drain. Once again I was impressed with how professional, capable, and friendly John is. I had initially bought a brand of faucet that John didn't think I would be happy with in the long-term, and he instead purchased a better faucet for me from a wholesale plumbing store. John showed up on time and completed both jobs quickly. He also showed me how to unclog my tub drain myself the next time I needed to so that I wouldn't require the services of a plumber. And, the icing on the cake, while talking with John, I mentioned that my sink could also benefit from being cleared. John needed to get to another appointment and was unable to do it on the spot. However, he stopped by my house later the same day and unclogged my sink at no charge. I think this is outstanding service and recommend Apex Plumbing Services highly. read more

I was notified by the gas company that I had an underground gas leak that needed to be repaired in 24 hours. I called Jon and he arrived within the hour. He carefully analyzed how to diagnose the leak with the least disruption of my patio and garden. My plants were carefully removed and later replanted. He found several leaks and was able to address them with care within the allotted time period. I appreciate his logical mind in diagnosing the problem and his courteous and prompt service in addressing and alleviating the problem. read more
