Hired to repair roofing storm damage. They charged me to replace multiple areas, then patched them instead. My insurer refused to pay for work never performed, then Apex demanded I pay for that same work that was never done. At least part of the work they did will have to be redone correctly, as it looks like a DIY project. I am kicking myself for not reading the multiple negative reviews before hiring them. Do not use this company. The roof Apex installed for me only lasted five years and was in horrible shape.

This is probably the worst company I have ever Had to deal with. It took them 6 months to complete the roof and all the damage they created. I still have damage to my house but I can't come to terms with even calling them back. On numerous OK Asians I am cold to even speak with the CEO of the company and he never returned my call. Always claimed he was out of town. I have had over 60 phone conversation to correct the work that was done on my house. Many neighbors have complained about this company As well. BEWARE-Unbelieveable disregard for your property. Contract signed in May 2022 and now middle of September and still has not taken care of items broken by installers and items not fixed when roof was installed. Twice made appointments and not showed up nor called or emailed-just did not bother. Do not waste your time or money with this company. read more

Would not recommend. After completing the roof we are still trying to get them to repair the damage they left behind. Holes in the roof as well as damage to our siding & cornice that was not there beforehand. read more

I've been looking for a roofer for my mother's house for a while now. Got a few estimates, but Apex Roofing has left me hanging for about a year and two months now. The name "Joe Horwitz" popped up on my phone and had called me saying he was in the neighborhood and had asked to climb onto my roof to take pictures. He assured me he would not get inside my house, so I had agreed to it. He was there within a few minutes, brought a ladder and next thing I know, he is on top of my house. he is snapping away at pictures, then when I come out of the house to talk to him, he and his truck are already gone! I wait for months, and no pictures. I'm not sure if he was planning to email them to me or text them to me? I had given the company my information at the Home and Garden show. I decide to finally just contact him and ask for the pictures. he acted like he had no clue what was going on, asked me when he climbed up on my roof, then never responded after I told him the situation. Poor customer service by this individual. I hope the rest of the company isn't like this. I doubt I will ever use them. read more

These guys came to my parent's house after a big hail storm. This was the first time we had dealt with roofers and I feel like we were charged for more due to our ignorance on what we were getting. Our insurance covered the roof replacement, however Apex gave us a very basic roof for what insurance paid out. After the fact, we spoke with a couple of our neighbors and they paid less for a nicer shingles - and their roof has a much steeper pitch and more complex roof line than ours. Also the workers left a ton of nails in our driveway and back deck. My car tire got a puncture - in their defense Apex did reimburse me for the $20 repair. I can understand that perhaps a couple of nails might be missed, but I found 30+ nails in the driveway, which is no excuse. Obviously they did not perform proper clean up - I had to complain and someone came out to clean up the driveway. They also disposed a couple of cases of left-over shingle material (still wrapped, brand new in the package) into the dumpster; not eco-friendly. I would stay away from Apex, as they don't have your best interest at heart. Also I've learned to not show the roofer what your insurance will reimburse you for. Get three separate quotes from reputable local roofing companies first, then present your reimbursement amount and make adjustments as needed to the quote. read more

BEWARE!! Apex Roofing referred to me by State Farm. They replaced my roof May 2017. Been trying to get owner, Grant, to fix leaks all summer to NO avail. Twice said he was leaving town for a week. Had a State Farm recommended contractor and another builder come assess situation and they found multiple issues causing leaks, and they showed supporting issues with pictures including Apex using wrong replacement vents. Grant said and I quote, "I'm not buying it", but still stalling on coming back out. When I reminded him, this past Monday, of contacting the contractor he previously agreed to meet with at my home, he stated "just got back in town". My next step is to publish this horrible lack of customer service on several neighbor hood social media sites. read more

I just received supplies with my name and address from Apex. The issues is I have never talked to anyone at the company. After the delivery guy called his boss, he let me know the address was NW and not NE. I stated but it has my name on it, wow. This company put a roof on my daughters house. Through mold growing through the Sheetrock into the house and garage causing sickness to their family it was discovered that there was no flashing put on before shingles, only caulking, the turbines were not installed for venting. As a result insurance claims (2 deductibles) had to be filed to replace flooring and damage to Sheetrock and roof. Also sale of the home was lost when inspector found the turbine issues. The person who set up the initial roofing project no longer with Apex. Now Apex will not return calls. read more

Apex Roofing of Pelham's service is Awful. I contracted Apex to replace my roof at my residence of sixteen years. It seemed a bit premature but their salesman Scott Thornton convinced me that it needed replacing. This has been the worse service experience of my LIFE. They threw shingles off the roof damaging my shrubs, patio heater, gutters and railings along my deck. I'm still picking up nails almost five months later and I'am still calling them back to make repairs that they caused. They over billed the job and added made up charges for supplemental and permit fees. I withheld the final payment to make sure all my concerns were met and guess what they haven't been met yet. Then as an insult to injury I get a threatening email from Keli Has, MK Outlaw and Grant Rocket the owner. This was a job in excess of 30k, you'd think they would be mindful of the caliber of homes in my sector and the future jobs they could get if I was satisfied with their service. Fast and efficient roofing company. The employee was extremely helpful and the crew was nice, quick and very tidy!

I never leave reviews but we had such a bad experience with Apex that I'm taking the time to do it. We've had probably 8 different roofing companies knock on our door in the past couple of years telling us they could work with our insurance company (State Farm) to get a new roof due to damage from storms. We went with Apex because I liked the rep (Rachel Fowler). She was friendly and helpful and they sent someone to look at our roof, who said there was hail damage. Rachel said of course they couldn't guarantee State Farm would pay for a new roof, but they had seen hail damage and they would send an Apex roofer to meet the adjuster to point out the hail damage they had seen and be our "advocate" with the insurance company. The day the adjuster came the Apex guy was 20 minutes late and when he got on the roof, instead of pointing out all this damage they originally told us was there, he agreed with the adjuster that in fact there was no hail damage on our roof. This was of course very frustrating as we would have never gone down this path if Apex had not originally told us there was damage. At first I thought all we had lost was a few hours of time but a few weeks later I was talking to State Farm on an unrelated matter when they mentioned our rate would be going up just because we had made the claim. So basically my insurance is costing me more because Apex told me they saw hail damage one day and then later admitted there actually wasn't any. In the end, they wanted to make a sale and they weren't worried about making sure their inspection was correct, or if there would be consequences to us. We knew Apex couldn't guarantee State Farm would pay for a new roof, but they should have made sure their inspectors knew how to spot damage, and they should have mentioned the risk that our insurance rates could go up just from making a claim, so we could have made an informed decision. I guess I should've looked on this website first before choosing APEX to see that 75% of reviews are negative. They canvased my neighborhood after a hail storm and that's how I came across them. Overall, the roof is good and exactly what I expected. My insurance issued me an initial check for the first portion, instructing me to have the roofing company submit invoices for the remaining portions after the job was done. The job was completed in September 2017--- I just got the 2nd check last week (MARCH 2018). Yeah--- 6 months later. I emailed folks at APEX intermittently nearly every month during this wait, and received run around and "yeah, I'll check to make sure those invoices are submitted." Weeks pass... no check. Email again, "yeah I'll make sure that gets done." Weeks pass... no check. What's the most ridiculous is that when they completed the job, the rep acted surprised when I wrote him a check for the full amount of the job. He asked if I wanted to just write him a check for the amount the insurance had given me, and I could pay the rest when the 2nd check came in. I thought this was crazy, as I was raised to pay for anything in full. I would've thought that paying folks in full would be treated with prompt resolution of the billing process as a thank you. Guess not. In retrospect, I should have only paid the initial portion, and the unresolved payment would've been motivation for APEX to actually carry out the process of completing the claim. I'm not saying not to use APEX- they'll put a good roof on your house, and super fast. But I highly recommend leveraging balances pending claim submissions instead of paying in full. It's clear they need some reminding of whose claims they haven't completed after the client has paid in full. The only way I got this resolved was by contacting my insurance agent a few times who reached out to APEX to get the needed documents to complete the claim and issue my 2nd check. Royal pain in the butt, but nonetheless it's resolved now (thanks to my persistent and patient knocking at the door for half a year). read more
