1. Company the Protection Plan from Lowe's on Maytag front load washer had us use 2. Put on hold 30+ minutes, still no one to speak to. Only communication is through email. 3. Tech #1 changed the hot and cold-water valves and left without running first to see if it was repaired. 4. "FL lo" error code appeared in first 4 minutes of wash cycle. 5. More communications through email, since the additional "Return Scheduling Line" number they gave is out of service. 6. Tech #2 claimed that the new cold-water valve from yesterday was faulty and replaced. Said the connector on the harness was loose, not "broken" so he would not replace. Instead zip-tied it to another wire. Ran a wash cycle and said we were good. 7. Frustrated that the connector/harness wasn't replaced even though we specifically asked several times. Putting a "band-aid" on it, is not a valid repair. 8. Checked with local appliance repair, Maytag Chat, and online google search - all state a loose connector must be replaced with a new harness. 9. I had a terrible experience with APEX TV AND APPLIANCE INC (717-852-9555). One of the owners, Marie, called to schedule a repair for my refrigerator. She was shockingly rude and dismissive on the phone. When I calmly told her that her tone was unprofessional, she hung up on me. I called back and asked to speak with a manager or owner; only to be told that Marie is one of the owners. While I was on the phone, I could hear her yelling and using curse words in the background. Completely unacceptable behavior from anyone, especially an owner. This is not how customers should be treated. I strongly recommend avoiding this business altogether. I used this service under my warranty coverage. The rep arrived and stated that the service would be covered under the warranty and part would be ordered. Once you received the part arrives, contact the company and another rep will be assigned to come out to replace it. After the initial meeting of five minutes, about one hour later, I received a denial stating that the part would not be covered; it is result of normal wear and tear. Samsung authorized repair center. On the warranty repairs they have completed, the work they completed was done well. Our most recent experience was for out of warranty work. The booking agent is not permitted to discuss anything about repair costs. Be prepared for a $132.50 trip charge for a tech to walk in your house for a total of five minutes, see what you already described on the phone, press one button on the stove, then quote you over $540 for a led display and membrane replacement which we declined. read more

If I could give a zero star rating I would. My washer was to be repaired, but to date that has not happened. Joe came to my residence on November 29 and replaced the parts that the warranty company sent, but this did not fix the washer. Joe promised to order the part that was needed, but I called in today to see if the part has arrived yet and was told my washer ticket has been closed as the issue has been resolved. I have been without a washer since November 17. I would avoid this company if possible as they do not follow through and are extremely unorganized. read more

My LG refrigerator stopped working. I was given the number of two LG Authorized Services. I called APEX and was told they would have to get back to me to see if they had anyone who could schedule an appointment. I agreed but said I would have to continue to find a quicker solution. How surprised was I when within the hour they called to tell me that DAVE would be available to come before 6PM. DAVE is now St. DAVE. He not only got to my home before 6PM but made the needed repairs, vacuumed the floor and saved me the replacement of a circuit board. Samsung scheduled this company to come out and repair my new TV that had dark vertical shadows all over the screen. Company called to talk about the repair and said they had to order a screen and they would call me when it was in, to schedule. I told them to call my cell phone and left the number. They called my landline to schedule. I work and they were closed by the time I got home. I would call them the next day from work, leave a message because no one ever answered the phone, and they would return the call to my home phone, again. This happened multiple times. By the time I actually spoke with them, they scolded me for not calling them back and told me they had sent the new screen back and that they had to reorder it. Finally got the next screen, and they showed up. Technician asked me to show him the issue, I did, and he basically said he could replace the screen, but he didnt think it was going to help because Samsung TVs are just "like that" and LG makes better TVs. He messed around with the settings a little, made it look a little better, and left. I continued to get annoyed by the dark shadows on the TV. Then I saw the same exact TV on display at Kohl's and amazingly (not) no dark lines. Put ANOTHER service request in to Samsung and told them to send a different company. They sent USSI. 100% different experience. They were communicative, the technician was great, knew exactly what the problem was, even said it was a KNOWN PROBLEM with this TV, and fixed my TV in 15 minutes. If Samsung schedules you with Apex, do yourself a favor and tell them you want someone else. read more

I wish I would have read these reviews prior to get stuck with this company by my warranty provider. It has been nothing but terrible. They never called to schedule an appointment, I had to call them. When I did they tell me they like to order the part first before coming out. Fine, sounds like they know the problem. Two weeks go by before I hear from them again. I schedule the appointment for my next day off Oct 1st and they give me a five hour window when they will be here. So I wait and get a phone call from the technician three hours in to the five hour window saying he won't be out because they part they have is broken. Funny, why did no one think to check this while it was sitting in their shop for a week waiting for the appointment? So we wait for the new part. I called the warranty company to let them know and they were sure to rush the process to approve the replacement part. When they call they give me the same five hour window with no care that I will be wasting another afternoon waiting for them. As I sit here now past the fourth hour they still have not shown and no phone call. The owner or service manager is rude and lacks basic customer service skills. He speaks down to you. From reading his responses I see he feels those who are getting warranty service are not worth his time. My Smart TV was working as a TV but one of the Smart features stopped working. Samsung appointed this company to come out and fix the feature. The technician was kind and handy, the office folks was always abrupt. They came out twice, the 2nd time they changed the motherboard of the TV. Now the TV doesn't even turn on. The office (including the service manager) is now telling me they can't do anything about that, I need to call Samsung and make a new ticket. I explained that they have ruined my TV, they laughed at me and said they didn't ruin it. I said if a TV worked and they were coming out to just fix a feature, but after the TV doesn't even turn on and I need to restart the whole process with Samsung to have them come and fix a problem they create, then they ruined my TV. Their response was to hang up on me. I call Samsung now and Samsung is appalled by the manner of this company. My LG refrigerator was having ice maker issues. Leaking water and freezing up. No one in Lancaster county services LG "unless you purchased it here". LG's customer service recommended Apex in York. They were friendly on the phone when I called to make an appointment. They came out that week, at the very start of that dreaded 5 hour service window, and assessed the ice maker. He initially took it apart and put it back together hoping it was just some sediment buildup causing the splash/leak. When that didn't work, he called to order a new ice maker. The part came quickly and the same nice service tech came back to install it. They were fast and friendly, I would definitely recommend. read more

The technician arrived to repair my dryer (under warranty). He replaced a part and told me everything worked. He gave me a service order that said "Replaced igniter, tested OK." I went to use the dryer and it still did not work. I called Apex and they said that they would speak to the technician. He told his manager (and I quote). "I tried to fix it but the vent was blocked." Caught him in a double lie, I have the paperwork indicating that he fixed it. Plus, I just had my entire house vent system professionally cleaned a month ago, including the dryer vent system. These people are horrible. read more

Received a call from these guys through Samsung, who I guess uses them for their repairs. I scheduled a time through their automated system, scheduled off from work and then, later, received a phone call to schedule the 'real' appointment day/time. The automated system is meaningless. So, we rescheduled the 'real' time, which wouldn't be for 2 more weeks. The tech arrived and clearly had very little idea what he was doing. Lots of phone calls, lots of odd explanations of "well I hate to say this, but these Samsung's are just like that..." Bottom line, tech did the bare minimum, didn't listen to much of what we had to say and left without fixing our issues. The only upside was that the tech was friendly. On January 1st, our LG fridge stopped cooling. We called LG, they created a dispatch to have it fixed under warranty, so they provided me with the names of 3 Authorized Repair companies. One company went out of business, and the second never called me back. I was surprised to hear that Apex could come by on the 3rd to look at it, which was impressive. Tyler did a good job. He determined it was a Sealed System failure. I had to pay $100 for them to come out, which would go towards the service through them. I found out that LG's warranty doesn't cover labor, so I was looking at another ~$500. Frustrated, I called LG and they agreed to pay for everything, so they notified Apex. However, Apex wouldn't refund my $100, but fine. LG had 3 boxes shipped to Apex, and the Tracking info came to me. I called on the 26th and scheduled for them to come out on the 30th. My wife was home for the repair. Dave came on time, but seemed to have no record of what was to be done. He also had no parts with him... just his small toolbox. I made the mistake of not plugging the fridge in 24 hours prior. My wife called to tell me that he might not be able to work on it. It was my error, and I wanted to get an idea of what was to be done next. I spoke to Dave, who told me that there were troubleshooting steps that would require the fridge to be on, but the testing failed prior, so it not being plugged in was not an issue, and he could still fix it. My wife called me after wondering why we waited for parts to arrive, when he apparently never installed anything. I don't know how large the parts were that were sent- perhaps all 3 parts were in his toolbox, but given that he clearly had no history of the prior visit it seems unlikely that he installed anything. I looked at the service order and he simply filled it with Freon. After 24 hours, the Freon leaked out, and it stopped again. I called LG instead of Apex. They escalated my issue to their Ethics Department. I encouraged them to see if all three parts could have been carried in in a small toolbox, as well as if Apex charged them full price or deducted the $100 they charged me. LG contacted Apex to work out a re-fixed, and LG told me that Apex would but I had to coordinate a time. Dave was the only employee that could fix the problem, so we scheduled the next available date of February 13th. My wife called me that afternoon frustrated. Dave immediately determined that he didn't have the right parts. My case was escalated to LG's corporate office. My options we were to 1) go with Apex, 2) start the whole process over with another company, or 3) buy a new fridge at a 15% discount. I had them research other companies that could do the work, but was told after a week that Apex was my only option. Another Dispatch to Apex, and I was told that "Apex will contact you directly to schedule a service appointment." No call back. I called LG's corporate office on March 2nd (day 64) and, Marianne agreed that I would not use Apex. She authorized an actual LG Refrigerator Technician to drive the 2 1/2 hours. The fridge is fixed, but not from Apex. Other have had good experiences, and that's great. If you look at the negative Google Reviews, you'll see similar experiences. Apex's Customer Service aggressively downplays those experiences. They respond with "Every one star review we get comes from customers who don't pay a red cent under a warranty", or "Exaggeration and false information are not leverage to get what you want, rather makes us reconsider helping you any further. Try honesty" or "If you want to call in with a raunchy attitude and discontinue, unreasonably, your service, then that is your choice." Even with many positive review, this is the reason that Apex was initially my last choice of the companies LG provided to me. I expect to get a reply to my review. They scratched the screen on my TV and denied responsibility because I took it to the shop and picked it up. Apex TV and Appliance Service was selected as an authorized tv service repair by Samsung. I was informed upon making my appointment, that the technician would give me a call 15-20 min before arrival - I never received a call. Upon visiting my home, the technician (Josh) held a video call with Samsung, who concluded that my tv sustained physical damage and would not be covered under the warranty service. To the naked eye, the tv has NO physical damage. After arguing for a few minutes, I was instructed to call Samsung and ask for an override, which I did. I also requested that Josh (the Apex technician) provide me with a quote as to how much it would cost to repair my tv, which he agreed to do. While I was on hold with Samsung, Josh indicated that he would go return his tool bag to his van. Subsequently, I heard his van start up. I immediately ran out of my house and attempted to flag Josh down. He proceeded to back out of my driveway, made full eye contact with me, and then sped away. Not only was Josh unprofessional, but this was extremely rude and disrespectful as a human being. I strongly urge everyone to stay away from Apex TV and Appliance repair, and if Josh arrives at your home, DO NOT let him enter! This was by far the worst customer service experience I have ever dealt with my entire life. HORRIBLE COMPANY! STAY AWAY! RUN! This company is a HORRIBLE Experience. I have a home appliance warranty policy. They contacted Apex to come, I did not want them from prior experiences they have terrible reviews and I had a new TV and window A/C unit prior that they claimed they couldn't fix but could keep for parts if I didn't want it . This after taking my money for the diagnosis, but when I took to another shop they fixed them both supposedly unfixable . Back to the appliance, so I totally agree with difficulty of appt as others posted, staff is extremely rude and difficult and non communicable. Zero customer service. Then technician comes looks at my dishwasher and states "we" must of used a dish detergent when it ran out with bubbles underneath , this he based on the fact that he saw Dawn dish detergent in cabinet near dishwasher. He put into warranty company we used wrong detergent that caused that, which we surely know you don't use that in a dishwasher. Anyway he put that in his report because he was frustrated and admitted he didn't know what it was that was wrong. When I called to have them re visit to examine, they gave me the run around with no one returning my calls. The they put this poor girl on the phone to tell you repeatedly their too busy to get on the phone to talk, so she's in the middle. When we threatened to call the BBB, suddenly , literally they came to life and called back right away, and told me to go ahead they were calling my warranty company to tell them I asked them to say something that was a lie. I asked for owner he was unavailable and she wasnt sure when hed be back in. Well I called my warranty company and with the paper trail of other repairs for the same issue from a plumber and other applaince servicer which were never due to " wrong dishwasher detergent, try the pump"; they approved my claim for replacement thank God for the paper trail. I know angry/frustrated people post on YELP, all I can do is try to alert people of my problem with them, take your chances and try, if they do the same to you I suggest you post and call the BBB as I did today. I submitted a service request through Samsung customer service after the ice maker in my refrigerator stopped working. They told me they would be submitting a request to Apex who is my local service provider for Samsung refrigerators and that I would receive a phone call from them within 24-48 hours. 2 WEEKS later I received a call from Apex regarding the request (after I ordered a part online a week prior after receiving no response). The woman on the phone said they were "very busy" which is what caused the delay. Poor excuse for a service company in my opinion. read more

Technician arrived at scheduled time to repair a recurring problem with our Samsung refrigerator - i.e., ice build up on the freezer floor. Technician was courteous and explained in advance what needed to be done. When he was not satisfied that the initial fix solved the problem he did further testing to accurately resolve the issue. Had he not done this additional testing the ice build-up problem most definitely would have recurred. He showed initiative and cared about actually resolving the issue. read more

Told me would deliver on Saturday, never showed up, never called or returned my calls after two weeks. Sent one guy to return set, I had to help him carry it. Refused to give out owners name when I asked, because when you blow this bad, you'd want to hide too. Somehow, they got "authorized" by Samsung, I guess they paid them. Waited 2 weeks for our appointment for washer to be fixed. They wouldn't come out until all of the parts were in. When the tech showed up on appointment day they didn't have the part needed! We were promised the tech would be back out between 10-3 the next day. We called the tech at 3 and was told he had other calls still to go to before us and want sure when we would arrive. We experienced much the same frustrations as many of the other reviews on this site. Samsung scheduling a Tech only to find out that they weren't authorized to do so. Having to basically diagnose our issue and then from our explanation they ordered a part. Having to wait for the part before we could then schedule a tech. After two tries...same problem and part not needed. Then, thankfully Jamie was sent to fix the washer and within 10 minutes he diagnosed and fixed the issue. Jamie was efficient, fun to talk to...and he knew his product! AND...Jamie is a Veteran...thank you for your service to our country and your outstanding service in fixing our washer! read more

I gave 1 star only because they actually showed up when they said they would. The tech initially said it was a hole in the seal that was causing my dishwasher to leak. So $80 plus the $95 for them to come out later, the dishwasher still leaked. We had them come out again. The technician could not figure out what was wrong with the dishwasher. He then said the door was bent and HE then began twisting the door to "straighten it out". He then proclaimed it was fixed and left. Wrong! Dishwasher now leaks from both sides like a faucet. Where as before it was intermittent dripping. I called and explained what happened that he literally broke the door, it now wobbles. Their response was I needed to call the manufacturer, "sometimes they'll replace the door and hinges for free". He even wrote what he did in his report but that did not matter to them. They do not provide good service , nor do they stand by their work. I would not recommend using Apex repair service. read more

I would recommend to everyone that they stay as far away from these people as possible. I have a Hitachi Ultravision Plasma HDTV. 3 times they talked me into a "minor" repair because of how expensive this TV was when originally purchased. After every repair it was only a matter of weeks and something else was wrong. I have spent almost twice the amount of a new HDTV and what I now have is an expensive, extremely heavy piece of junk. Hey Apex, you think this thing is so nice and would be a shame to recycle it. You can have it for free, come get it. read more
