The therapist in Florida vetted this clinic for my TMJ. I cannot say enough good things about the PT (Brad) and his staff. Their professionalism, kindness and vast knowledge of the human body. Brad takes a hands on approach with his patients. He is also very positive and encouraging. He has used dry needling on my jaw. It sounds painful, but Brad is gentle and explains what he is doing during the treatment. I've seen Brad work with a diverse group of patients. He clearly has a broad range of experience with all types of patient injuries. In IL, you don't need a referral from a Dr. Direct access allows patients to skip the middle man. It makes it easier to make an appointment. By the way, the headaches are gone. Highly recommend.

In the very beginning (and every once in a while if I injure myself somehow), I came in 2 to 4 times a month, but I have been averaging about once a month now for a very long time. I come in for basic maintenance but also because I have found that it keeps my neuropathy quieter when I'm in alignment. It's very yelpy, red and black, but it does provoke some stares when we're in the realm of flatlanders. Following hip replacement and four weeks of home health care, it was time to switch out to local PT. No better place than F4L. Nine years ago, Mark S. did a great job with our son after his one-and-only football injury (but that's another story). Mark's wife Pat S. keeps things organized, just as she does (disclaimer) for my local Rotary Club, for which she is our "Fundraising Conscience." We joke about Pat S.'s seemingly fascist leanings - that makes her like family to me - and we all secretly admire the way she upholds high standards for member participation in fundraising for worthy causes. If you go to F4L, you'll have an excellent local PT, and your insurance dollars and deductibles are paid to people who put a portion of those $ back into the community, particularly causes that benefit children. Of course, in this situation, I'm just the organizer of insurance EOB forms and writer of checks for deductibles and co-pays. I'll encourage Therese H. to write about her actual PT experience. Even if she doesn't, I can report that after just one week of elliptical, steps, weights, and stuff, I'm noticing that Red Stick is not with her each moment of every day. F4L gives me hope that the day will come when Red Stick finds a place in a cardboard box going to Goodwill.
