In 2019-2020 we used to eat here a few times a week. Then resumed in 2021. Then, I finally had enough of the attitude of the manager and staff. They were very popular and had the attitude they were doing you a favor to serve you food. There were so many customers, who cares to bother being courteous? So then I started doing curbside and that was a mess. Staff was surly. They'd forget items. I'd call and the manager said he'd give me a credit card credit, which I never received. After that happened twice I was done. Today I decided to try again. The link I was texted to let them know I arrived isn't functional so I called. I was pleasantly surprised that my order was quickly brought out. The lady who brought out my order was very nice. A completely different attitude and experience from the past. The pizza was delicious. The small side salad was fresh and the container of dressing was filled to the top unlike the past when they'd tackily give you 1/2 filled container. My only complaint is the outrageously-priced dessert. I ordered a special, cassetta cake priced at $16. I was expecting a decently-sized slice of cake. I got this small bakery-sized cakelet. It makes the whole experience that much easier. Ashley took care of us today, and she was fantastic. She was very attentive and pleasant from start to finish. We started with the Caprese, and it was delicious. The homemade mozzarella was outstanding--creamy and fresh--and the heirloom tomatoes were just as impressive. The dish came with three nicely sized portions, perfect for sharing. Even though I've been here several times, this was my first time trying the Chicken Alla Nonna. The flavor was amazing - it really took me back to Italy, and the portion was generous--next time I'll definitely share it with my husband so we can try a few more plates. We had the garlic bread knots to start. Very good. Then on the calamari. First we were just two. The appetizer would serve 4 to 6. So we packed it up. Before going on it is Sunday 6:50 pm. The place is slammed. The staff is just about running from table to table. We finished our salad and some of the appetizer and the waitress advised that they would start our chicken parmigiana (picture attached).came to the table steaming and the best I have had in South Florida. I think the toppings were delicious but there's some kind of disconnect between the meat, sauce, and crust. The other pizza we got also felt like it was missing something. My friends split a pork chop special that came with roasted potatoes and broccoli. My husband got a pasta dish, and I ordered the lasagna. The lasagna interestingly came as two rolls. The meaty sauce was great. I was a bit disappointed with my experience here. I started with the lentil soup. It was pretty ordinary, just lentils. Perhaps some additional vegetables would have added some flavor and texture. I also sampled the Montague Street pizza. The crust was a little chewy. Also, I felt it needed something savory to balance out the sweetness from the figs, caramelized onions, and goat cheese. If I return, I may try one the Brooklyn pizzas. I wasn't impressed with their version of a Neopolitan pizza. read more

Today we tried a very nice version of spaghetti vongole (with clams). Very well executed with plenty of clams (something like 12-14) and shareable. The house salad that comes with it is excellent with a very good red wine vinegar dressing which shows a bit more thought than the usual balsamic. Lastly it comes with 2 of the excellent garlic knots. The wine list has some nice glasses by the glass. The service efficient. We went to the Bird location. The restaurant is in a strip mall. It has a cool had a dimly lit industrial look. Very clean and inside & outside seating. The food is very good. I had a mushroom soup to start - tasty. We shared a fried Calamari & Zucchini appetizer - big calamari rings and zucchini sticks, fried up nice. The pizza is what brings us in and we were not disappointed! My wife had the "Papa's Pesto" - fresh tomatoes, provolone, mozzarella, garlic & evoo - a must for pesto lovers! I had the "White Hot" - gorgonzola/smoked gouda/ mozzarella/parmesian cheese mix with spicy calabrese and arugula (no red sauce) - I loved it. We washed it all down with a great red wine recommended by our waiter - "Kith & Kin". We asked for a Chianti and this was a Napa Cab but it was really good. The bill wasn't too bad, especially considering wine made up about 1/2 of our tab. Highly recommend (would give 4.5 stars if it were available!). I am told a Doral location is coming. read more

There's one appetizer (sorry forgot the name) but the keyword is eggplant. It's an eggplant roll with cheese inside while there's also marinara sauce outside. Very unique and tasty. I ordered fish special this time. It's AMAZING. I have tried so many fish dishes in different restaurants but this is really something special - it tastes like chicken at the first bite. Crispy fish skin with creamy sauce and also the veggies on side provides a rich flavor. Highly recommended. Service is always nice.
