He then prescribed to me a supplement and a sleep plan to help improve my sleep and get my sleep rhythm back in line "with the living". Well, I took his advice and it worked to perfection. What I really liked and appreciated about the service was the doctor taking time to listen to me and rather than prescribing sleeping medications or suggesting I do a sleep study, he listened to me and diagnoses my problem based on what I was telling him rather than what his "wallet" wanted. In this day and age of medicine, finding a doctor with medical integrity is not easy; so many doctors are influenced by drug manufacturers and willing to prescribe expensive medicine rather than provide natural healing solutions. David and I appreciated him as a doctor, because he was very concerned about me, as a patient needing medical attention. They are very friendly, and care about their patients. For outpatient procedures, they have people in and out in a matter of a few hours. I don't think we've ever been there longer than 4 hours. They have free coffee for people while you wait. I've never had any, but they're k-cups, so you can choose what you want. If my mom has to go back for anything else, I will know she's in great hands!

Where to begin...well, I had been dealing with serious allergy issues this year (and have been for…read moremany many years), and decided to move forward attempting to correct allergy issues along with a deviated septum (had that for as long as I could remember). When I first visited Dr. K and his team in their Houston office, I immediately knew they were going to be a superstar team. Everyone in the office is kind, knowledgeable, and professional and they are just flat out great people! Dr. K first saw me back in March, and suggested that we start treating my severe allergies prior to tackling my deviated septum and other nose issues. I went through the allergy testing and learned I was allergic to EVERYTHING! haha but the team formulated my perfect blend of allergy drops and then I began feeling better and better as time went on. Sublingual Immunotherapy has clearly helped reduce my allergy symptoms to near zero and I feel GREAT now. Secondly, after getting my allergies in check, Dr. K felt that it was time to fix my nose issues. This required a turbinate reduction, balloon sinuplasty, and correction of my severely deviated septum. I decided to go under general anesthesia to complete the whole procedure and I can safely say, that it was 100% effective. I cannot remember the last time I breathed so freely. The surgery was definitely one of the best decisions of my life, and I sleep so much better at night with no snoring and fewer sleep disturbances at night (my partner loves this haha). I had heard horror stories about how the post op phase post nasal surgery could be extremely uncomfortable, yet that's the best part about Dr. K's recommendations. THERE WAS NO NASAL PACKING! I can honestly say that there was extremely minimal discomfort post surgery, and that I felt right back to normal in about 5 days. To be honest, only on days 3-4 post surgery did I feel any fatigue/minor discomfort. But the best part was the feeling of being able to breathe because there was no nasal packing. Overall, my experience with Dr. K and the Texas Sinus, Allergy, Snoring and Sleep Institute has been the BEST. I can safely say that they have been able to change my life for the best, and I would highly recommend their services to anyone in the Houston/Woodlands area!
