For any Asians: do not go to Z Med at all. Z Med has a massive knowledge gap around BMI and how it differs amongst races. You will want to find a clinic that recognizes 25 as obese for Asians with adjusted BMI from there. (ex: I'm overweight for an Asian but average for a White or Hispanic). What's worse is that when you say something to the nurses, they assume you're on the verge of an eating disorder or something and one of these halfwits that are half your age will be telling you about "diet and exercise" and "are you ok on the inside?" I've never felt more patronized and disrespected in my life. This is not a clinic for Asian people. ZMed was recommended to me a few months ago for weight loss. I would like to rate them for being professional and a good source for weight loss care and compounded Semiglutide and Trezatide medications. A once every 3 month visit for consultation and medication prescription. Not sure what things will look like come April 22nd when compounders can not longer compound these medications, but that is no fault of ZMed. Highly recommend this clinic. read more

I would not recommend this clinic, as I believe the staff is not qualified, does not prepare appropriately ahead of patient encounters, and makes basic mistakes on forms that the patient is paying dearly for, and expects to have filled out properly. Additionally, I find them to be a predatory establishment in the sense that they push for follow-up visits for issues that could be addressed in a regular PCP meeting that is covered by insurance, and are not transparent about these appointments not being medically necessary, or at least certainly not necessary to do at their clinic, unless probed. I find the extent to which they would possibly be able to take advantage of new immigrants that have little knowledge of either medicine or the American medical system very concerning. I went to Z Med Clinic for an immigration physical. From the first appointment, I felt less than confident in the quality of the medical attention I was receiving. First, the person taking my medical history and vitals asked questions that made little sense, such as whether I had "recently" had vaccines that are only given to small children. Additionally, they failed to record a vaccine I had received as a child, despite me clearly mentioning it. When I noted that I had experiencing dizziness and episodes of fainting during blood draws in the past, the person drawing my blood acted inconvenienced and frankly appeared worried about taking my blood, which did little to assuage the skepticism brought about by the initial history experience. Following the exam, I had to have an additional test done, which representatives of the clinic suggested I pay out of pocket because it would be "just as much" as having it covered by insurance, which was not the case. Then, when I eventually was cleared and went to pick up my immigration forms, I spoke with a PA about potential treatment for something that came up during the physical. The PA was wholly unprepared for the meeting even though the appointment had been made specifically to discuss medication options. The PA did not know what the dosage was on the medication, explained that I would have to take a "bunch" of pills at once on one of them, yet was unable to produce specific information when asked. They also appeared to be unable to weigh in on which course of medicine might be best for my personal circumstances, despite being a licensed healthcare provider that had set up a meeting to specifically discuss this medication. Lastly, they told me that they "did not think" that the proposed medication interacted with other drugs I was taking, even though it did, and did not even bring it up until I asked about the interaction specifically. Right before I left they came out of the room to find me and say that, in fact, yes, there was a significant interaction, as I had suspected and read about. One can only assume that there have been other patients that have been sent home with shoddy and incomplete medical information, after an appointment that they charge separately and do not accept insurance for. The issues did not end here. The clinic staff did not ask me to review the forms before they were signed, which they should do per USCIS instructions for civil surgeons. Then, they handed me a sealed envelope, and sent me a copy of the filled out forms via email at my request. I was shocked to learn, once I got home, that they had made no fewer than six separate mistakes on a form that was costing me 500+ USD and was going to be reviewed by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services. Mistakes ranged from missing personal information, to incorrect classification of conditions, missing vaccines, incorrectly ticked boxes, etc. I understand that mistakes happen, but needless to say, this was absolutely appalling. I had to take even more time off to go to the clinic for a third time to pick up a corrected form, at which time the staff acted as if these things just "happen". They also told me that they were scheduling me for a follow-up appointment that I did not request (which would not be covered by insurance since they do not take insurance), and only clarified that I could do the set of tests they were looking to do anywhere (for example, with my regular PCP where it would be covered by insurance) and would not need to come in if I did not want to after I pressed them on the matter. I find that to be completely unprofessional and misleading. At this point my immigration process is complete and I do not foresee ever needing to use Z Med Clinic's services again. I am glad that this is the case, as I believe the service I received there is sloppy and unprofessional at best, and an outright liability to customers at worst. read more

So i called about the glutathione IV drip to see if they had availability the same day. Not only did they have it, and i was able to get an appointment the same day. Check in process was easy (signing a whole bunch of paperwork), and i was checked in quickly. I had a few questions, which were answered and addressed. I like this place and all the staff are very friendly. I had 150 dysport injection and it lasted a month. Although the price is very competitive. I got what I paid for. Lessons learned. I have had dysport done at other place and it lasted about 5-6 mos. I was very disappointed in the IV therapy service I attempted to receive. I asked that the IV be placed in my hand instead of my arm because I was uncomfortable with the needle being placed in my arm since I was not at a hospital. The lady who appeared to be a doctor stated that it would be painful in my hand. I told her that I had IV therapy a couple of years ago, it was placed in my hand and I didn't experience any pain. She finally got the needle inserted in my arm but the solution was not going in my vain so she called another lady in who place tape around my around and a pillow under my arm, the IV solution started dripping but after 10 minutes my are stared burning and swelling up. I started for assistance. I told the lady to stop the IV? and to remove the needle from my arm, she did. She called the doctor in who inserted the needle, she stated that I had small veins. She offered to place the needle in my hand but I refused. She had a semi smile on her face and showed no care for me as tears rolled down my face. The swelling in my arm finally went down after two hours of being at home. No one at the clinic even called to check on me. I paid $90 because I purchased the procedure on Groupon which was a waste of my had earned money. read more

So we made the appointment for first one in the morning. Got here at 10 minutes until 9. They opened at 9:08. Go to get blood drawn and the girl isn't capable. See the NP. She was really nice but apparently doesn't draw blood. We are sent back to the waiting room to get blood drawn and put at the back of the line. This clinic used to be so we'll run and very smooth not any more. Little hint have your people get to work at 8:45. That way they have 15 minutes to prepare for opening. Moving this to 3 star because they took the time to at least apologize and offer an explanation. However just like you we own and run a business and your lateness caused us to be late to our customers. I can be compassionate to a family emergency but there should be a back up plan. I have to move mountains to get my husband to come in because he hates needles and every time we come in the person drawing blood is new. I am all for training but please train on some one else. I will absolutely request in the future not to have trainees not for blood draws. read more

this is a poor excuse for a medical clinic.....staff is clueless. More than once, this office requested lab work for hormones for a man, when I'm a woman....needless to say the results were totally wrong and I was asked to redo at my expense...Once again, I was asked to redo labs (Testosterone) and I used there in office lab and STILL they redid the wrong lab...they tested for thyroid instead of testosterone. ^*&%$% I'll give them credit...it started with a "T"... Now, 2 weeks later, I finally got my test results back. I am asked to come back in for another $100. and wait to see the dr to discuss these results. He just saw me 2 weeks ago to discuss labs, and asked me to redo Testosterone....now he wants to see me again for another $100.00 before he will give me a RX for my hormones.....NOT HAPPY with this at all..... Everyone at this location is great! However, I do have to specifically call out NATALIE for being so helpful and professional. She answered my questions right away and helped me with everything I needed the very same day. Because of her I was able to get an appointment and the paperwork I needed fast. She even promised to looking into something for me, (honestly, she didn't even have to - I was probably asking for too much) and she gave me a call right back like she said she would.
