As you may well expect, I was less than happy with the situation.  I first brought my concerns to the attention of Denise Holdread.  I would like to praise how she handled my concerns as well as the two field technicians, Scott and Ralph. All three worked diligently to diagnose and resolve the problems which turned out to be a simple fix.   I sincerely praise the company's owner Greg Esmay and his staff. My solar system has met all my expectation in its performance and all my contact with his staff has been exceptional. In closing, I strongly recommend this company as being extremely reputable and the best solar choice for Mohave County.

Natasha was professional and very clear with communication from the start. She set proper expectations on communication with Tesla would take a week or two. The day she received the go ahead from Tesla she called and scheduled the install asap 4 days out. Later the same day they had a cancellation and were able to get everything scheduled the next day. Anthony and Jeremiah arrived at the beginning of the arrival window! They were professional, great with communication, and ready to work. I had several questions and they were prepared for all of them and super helpful. The battery removal and install took less than an hour. Naturally Tesla's update took twice as long. LOL. Still total time was under 3 hours. I have managed 100s of installers and worked in Solar, this was a fantastic expierence! Because the Tesla 3 has more storage than the 2 I asked about adding some of my Breakers to the back-up and they had options for us to do that. Obviously we Highly Recommend This Team!

Very disappointed with Option One Solar…read more My Tesla Powerwalls & panels aren't producing & storing energy like before & I set up an appointment with Tesla through their app but the next available appointment was Oct 1st?! This was late July when I set up a service call. An over 2 month wait?!? So I got in touch with Option One Solar, to have them service my solar equipment. Setting up the appointment was easy, people on their end booked an appointment for the following Monday & I was charged the service call fee of $500. Ok I guess, I need these Powerwalls & panels looked at & hopefully fixed sooner than the Oct 1 Tesla appointment. My electric bill was $226! Their service guy came out, I told him what was going on/not going on & he looked in the panels, ran diagnostics through his phones informing me that the panels were working, then not working, and working again. He called Tesla support (Tesla installed this system almost 5 years ago). So basically the Tesla support guy on the phone said that Tesla has to come out & look & repair the system since they were the ones that installed it. So there was nothing Option One Solar could do otherwise it would void my warranty. I'm sure Option One Solar is a good company but they really didn't do anything but made a phone call to Tesla to let me know there was nothing they could do & that I would just have to wait till Oct for my Tesla appointment. I understand that the guy came out to diagnose & troubleshoot the problems & yeah I should be charged for his time, but for $500? I called their office to tell them what happened & asked for at least a partial refund since no physical work was done. They said they would put it in their notes & inform the team members. I wish I knew to NOT call them & just waited & I would've saved $500. I reread the contract & yeah it is stated clearly how much their fee is to come & look & troubleshoot & diagnose but that was an expensive phone call to Tesla for them to tell me, sorry you gotta wait, there's nothing we can do. I won't be calling them for any solar services, this experience wasn't a good one for me.

The biggest thing for me was their communication, they said they will be there at a certain time they were there a few minutes early. They did not dilly dally one bit, there crew knocked out a 39 panel install, ran all the electrical in the attic, and setup storage batteries in the garage on what the news stated was the hottest day of the year at 118 degrees outside not to mention the temp in the attic. The attention to detail on their work was next level, I have never seen a company be this thorough. When the install was complete they double checked everything after working hours on hours, they went through everything checking the panels on the roof, the electrical panel, the batteries in the garage, cleaned up their mess and left it cleaner than they found it. The icing on the cake was the owner himself stopped by several times to check in to see how everything was going, and personally introduced himself to me and let me know the rest of the process. If I had to recommend a company it would be River Sun Solutions hands down. When your paying a lot of money for a service and product these are they people that will make sure its done clean, and correct the first time. Thank you all again.

He assured me the $500 deposit was refundable up until they needed to pull permits. I paid the deposit and it was through a different company. What? waited for the inspection and nothing. After several weeks Chase said he was laid off. I was put in contact with Sam. We'll call him full of s*it Sam. Said I needed a new roof and the agreement said there was no refund for the deposit, conflicting Chase. He agreed they would review the recorded call and a manager would contact me. I've tried repeatedly to contact them again and have been officially brushed off and never received anything. No refund or call back.. Also, Chase and I responded on calls and text on a cell phone. After I shared my concerns about the…read morenon-disparagement clause in the contract, I got a call from Solar Optimum's Director of Sales. He was professional and respectful, and took the time to explain their side of the clause. They're not trying to silence honest feedback across the board -- they're asking for 45 days to fix any issue before someone goes public with a negative review. I appreciate the clarification, but this is still an effort to silence consumer's right to free speech, which is something I take very seriously. I work with several brands that compete in various marketplaces, and this is a tactic I would never endorse. The clause, as written, sends the wrong message. It's written in very strong legal language, and yes, it absolutely reads like a threat. Telling a customer that their warranty could be voided over a "disparaging" comment -- even one that's truthful -- feels more like protecting the brand at the expense of the customer's rights. If a company's service is great and they handle problems with integrity, their customers won't feel the need to "disparage" them in the first place. To be clear, I otherwise had a good experience with Solar Optimum during the proposal stage, but ultimately decided not to sign due to what I consider to be a big red flag. I have no reason to believe that the positive reviews here are not genuine. I just have to assume that part of the reason they seem to out-index the rest of the industry is due to this type of tactic. I don't have a crystal ball - but the solar industry seems to be littered with companies who deal in deceptive practices, so if you want to be the "good guy", then you should have confidence that your customers will advocate for you. This isn't personal -- it's a broader concern about consumer rights. If you're thinking about signing with any solar company (not just this one), read the contract carefully, ask questions, and make sure your voice doesn't come with fine print attached.

Title: Customer-Focused, Knowledgeable, and Truly Committed - Sol-Up Delivers!…read moreAfter an exhausting experience with a nationwide solar provider--quickly realizing they were simply too big to care--I decided to move three rooftop solar projects to Sol-Up. From my initial email inquiry and the Sol-Up team's immediate follow-up, I knew I had made the right choice. I was fortunate to be assigned to work with Antonija, who, instead of rushing us into quick signatures or pushing products and lease programs that primarily benefit installers, patiently walked my wife and me through a full Solar 101 presentation. Admittedly, I'm someone with minimal patience, but I actually enjoyed the presentation and learned a great deal about product selection and design considerations. Sol-Up has been in business since 2009, and it shows. They are highly proficient at navigating the many obstacles in today's solar environment while remaining 100% customer-focused throughout the entire transaction. Antonija, Rita, and the leadership team treated us like family, offering sensible, customized solutions for each of our three rooftops. With the federal solar tax incentive set to decline at year-end, I highly recommend reaching out to Antonija and her team for a truly "Simple and Seamless" solar solution. You will not be disappointed.

My concern was never with Sol-Up as a company it was with how I felt I was treated during our interactions. After deciding not to move forward with the project, I experienced what I believe was unprofessional conduct. When I asked to speak with a manager regarding my concerns, I felt my request was not appropriately escalated. Following that, I believe I was subjected to repeated unwanted phone calls and what I perceived as retaliatory behavior, including a negative BBB review directed at my business. I was also concerned that information I had provided during the sales process was used in a way that made me uncomfortable. As someone who was attempting to extend a project worth more than $30,000 for a client, professionalism and trust were extremely important to me. A customer should be able to decide not to do business with a company without worrying about retaliation, harassment, or having their information mishandled. I have since updated my rating because I reached out directly to Sol-Up's COO, who responded promptly and professionally. I truly appreciate the time he took to address my concerns, and his response demonstrated the level of customer service I had hoped to receive from the beginning. This review is not intended to discourage others from doing business with Sol-Up. Rather, I sincerely hope the company addresses situations like this through additional training and oversight. My experience raised concerns about how customer information is handled and how complaints are managed. If I felt uncomfortable after sharing only basic contact information, it naturally made me wonder how other sensitive information, such as a home address or financial details, would be safeguarded. I genuinely wish Sol-Up and its leadership the best, and I hope future customers receive the professional, respectful experience they deserve.
