Had my whole indoor unit replaced including the evaporator unit, furnace, blower motor and the motor that drains the water from the a/c. Price was ok, but workmanship was very poor. The motor that drains the water was plugged and caused water to soak my carpet. I had to fix this myself as it happened in the middle of the night. Additionally, when they replaced the indoor unit, they did not replace the duct properly resulting in no cold air into the bedrooms. I was promised by the owner himself that he was going to fix it. He never showed up and never bothered to call or text. I also had to fix this myself. If you're looking for a friendly guy with decent pricing BUT very poor work, then you should hire this guy. Just be prepared to NOT have cold air in your rooms or have to cut out your carpet due to flooding. I do not recommend this guy or nor will I ever hire him again. read more

I just want to say of course our ac has an issue on the 1st hottest day on 6/20/16. While I only got to talk to Robert over the phone (he sounded as nice and pleasant as others have said and left me with a very good impression), it was one of his technicians, Andrew, who came out to fix our problem A/C. Acosta HVAC was prompt to respond and arrived within the time frame allotted, saving us from the blistering heat of last Monday. Andrew was efficient. He was able to diagnose the problem and fixed it quickly. No hassle. He even checked our filter right before leaving and offered advice on when to replace it. My AC unit stopped working over the weekend and I freaked out because unlike other times when we have had HVAC issues , this time we have a baby in the house. I quickly resorted to Yelp and searched for someone who yelpers described as "honest" because I have been screwed over numerous times by HVAC people in the past (7 to be exact but who's counting). I called Robert (at the number listed in Yelp) and explained to him what my system was, or was not, doing. From the outset Robert was polite, patient, and genuinely interested in my family's comfort--not my pocket book! He walked me through some troubleshooting over the phone (at no cost) and genuinely attempted to help me fix the problem. When it became clear that a pro was needed he agreed to stop by the following day in the afternoon. The following day in the afternoon guess what happened? A very pleasant man was waiting for me at my house. Within 30 minutes he had identified the problem, replaced the part, and provided me with a mini lesson on proper home cooling techniques. The best part of all the man CHARGED ME AN HONEST PRICE! I was so pleased with his honesty and professional demeanor that I paid him a bit more than what he charged; why, because I know what other companies charge when you are at their mercy and this man not once attempted to exploit the situation. Contacted Acosta HVAC to check furnace at my son's condo in La Mirada, spoke with Robert & scheduled appt. he arrived on time & gave a quote to fix & replace furnace. We decided to replace furnace, at first I was surprised at the cost (condo is only 634 sq. ft.) but after getting additional quotes it was a very fair price. I am very pleased with the installation & recommend Acosta HVAC highly! The other company quoted me 25% more than Robert did, and didn't seem as professional. Robert was quick to schedule and complete the work and was great to work with. Today at 5:30 PM Good, honest companies are hard to find, thank God we found Acosta HVAC. How does that much consideration & compassion come from a stranger? Not only was Robert's quote for my parents house in La Mirada far lower then every where else but he install a new 3 ton unit within only a couple of days of his estimate. No lies, no hidden fees, they did exactly what they quoted. They also fixed the electrical issues they were having throughout the whole house (upstairs & downstairs)! And it didn't stop there, at the time of installation we were experiencing the worst heat wave of the year and Robert was kind enough to loan us a portable room A/C until the job was done! I am a Home Builder in the Orange County area. Over the last year and half, Acosta Air, has installed three HVAC systems for my clients on my builds. I am a meticulous, tied, tucked and clean type micromanager of all the trades that I hire to work for my clients and self. Acosta Air is Licensed, Insured and carries City Licenses also. The systems that were installed were all City permitted, high seer, variable speed, with two to five zones including the finished garages. These systems were all Nest wi fi driven systems. Additionally, H.E.R.S tests were required by the State of California on all the systems which I was present for each. Each system passed not only my inspection, the City inspection and the H.E.R.S test. I'd give Robert Acosta 10 stars if that many were available, he derserves all of them. Our central airconditioning was working, but the air wasn't cold. He took the temperature of the air flow and thereafter went to the condenser outside. I followed along because I like to watch and learn, even at my advanced age, and he didn't mind at all. I was impressed that he went right to the source of the problem, which turned out to be the compressor motor starter capacitor. After a brief electronic check of the capacitor he determined that it was not functioning properly and replaced it with one he had with him in his tool kit. This immediately solved the problem, the compressor motor engaged, and the air flow in the house began cooling. The charge was less than I expected and even less than the "look/see" base charge of many of his local competitors. Nice work Robert, you'll be hearing from me for our regular A/C and heating maintenance work, and also when we upgrade to a more efficient A/C unit in the near future.
