Chicken Parmigiana. I loved it. I couldn't stop eating it. I was soooo fulll

I love going to Apollo. Their food is always spot on ! I always go to the Chicken Francesca. IT's large slices of chicken breast marinated and cooked with a bed of spaghetti noodles laid over it in a creamy white cheese sauce and lots of melted mozzarella cheese. IT's a lot of food and you won't be disappointed. My Mom always has the Chicken Parmesan and It's cooked in a tomato based sauce and then has a bed of spaghetti noodles over it with a marinara sauce smothered in hot melted mozzarella cheese. The bread is so delicious you will want to ask for more. I love their ice cold salad bowls with a nicely prepared dinner salad. They are always consistent at either store I've been to. I've never had dessert as I'm always so full after eating the main entree. Itz so good that I don't stop and I never have anything to take home. IT's that good !!

This restaurant is in an older strip mall with other stores. The server was great, the restaurant itself was basic, probably caters to a lot of the same crowd or lunch from Nearby factories. It was very loud inside, really could not hear anyone across from me talking. The lasagna was very greasy and bland. Maybe should have tried a sub sandwich or salad. All in all it was ok. My lasagna was $18.00 and a huge portion...enough for 2 people. Probably won't be back, but I'm sure they won't hurt for business, they stay packed.

Always huge portions of delicious food. They get you in and out of the restaurant so fast and it has something for everyone. You better come with your appetite and come to this place though because they are going to load you up with so many different sides and the choices are overwhelming. We tend to go to this place because we can satisfy so many people with such different appetites. My very picky child has a wide range of comfort food in my wife who is vegetarian also has many more choices than in a typical typical restaurant. One of the things I absolutely love about this place. Is that when you get the chicken Parmesan it's a grilled chicken breast. That's already cut up underneath the mound of sauce, noodles and cheese. It makes it so much easier to eat. Then at the end they have a display case of desserts that you see when you first walk in at the host station. Just like their food it is an enormous slice. It's very good and easy on the budget. So anybody shopping at the outlet mall that wants good food fast this is the place to go.

What a delightful stop! We were passing through and needed to charge the car. This was just half a mile away and we're Greek and Italian fans. We elected to go Italian tonight. Boy were we not disappointed! The salads were on the table with the best homemade Greek salad dressing I have ever had (shake and swirl tutorial was funny and necessary). Chicken Parm and the Lasagna were classics and done well (very generous portions). Baklava and the Oreo cheesecake sealed the deal, we've found our favorite spot for charging the car and refueling our own tanks. We'd also characterize our server as being magical - think Tinkerbell! Emily knew the menu so well that when asked for a recommendation, she preceded to give us one from each category (pizza, pasta, Greek, ...). It was a wonderful dining experience!!

Still good after all these years. I gave a review to this place years ago just right after COVID was simmering down. We always just so enjoy the food here. From all of the Mediterranean fare to the desserts. Always enjoyable and never disappoint! They get their desserts from a place in Atlanta and they are always large and very fulfilling. Last time I was here I had the Greek salad which very much filled me up. Calzone was amazing and everyone just thoroughly enjoyed it. Service is still good and you can tell this is a family-owned operation as I believe the whole family is working here. Ambiance is also very welcoming! Definitely a place we tend to go to every time we come to Asheville.

All-in-all, average. I've noticed quite a number of places in Asheville have a Greek / Mediterranean influence, Apollo is straight up Greek / Med. Nice place, very Med vibe, fairly large, clean. Service was very quick and attentive without hovering. My lunch was a mixed bag. I ordered the lamb and chicken gyro combo. Portions were quite large. It came with a large Greek salad, pita and tzatziki sauce. The good: the lamb was very tender and tasty, well seasoned. The pita and tzatziki sauce were delightful. The salad was OK, the veggies were fresh and crisp. The not-so-good: the house made Greek salad dressing was a disappointment. There were a ton of herbs at the bottom of the dressing bottle, but no matter how much I shook it, I couldn't get them to mix with the dressing, which ended up tasting only of the oil, which was not top of the line EVOO. The chicken was very dry and had very little flavor. I turned down a box for the leftover chicken, it wasn't worth taking home. I had noticed before I went in Yelp reviews a fair number of folks complaining about the chicken, so I'm not the only one left unimpressed. Would I go back? Maybe. If I did I'd order the straight lamb gyros and opt for a different dressing.

First time eating here! We Went on a dreary afternoon and for some reason got seated by an open door to the outdoor patio. It was ok as it wasn't too cold but the rest of the restaurant wasn't really busy. Our waitress was ok. My partner got refills, I wasn't asked if I wanted one. Lol. I had the cheese tortellini which I loved was tri colored!! It was very tasty! My partner had the Combo Italian platter and those stuffed shells were so yummy! Over all it was good! I didn't love the plain décor and it was literally just like every other Italian food bistro in a shopping center. Also our waitress could have been more enthusiastic than she was.

We were starving from our national park road trip and wanted a place to stuff our face during our commute to the next city. We were looking for a healthier option so the Greek food caught our eyes. The menu was rather confusing as only one page had Greek options and the rest were Italian/American. This places reminded me of chains in the suburb where they try to cater to different demographics and so they did a mixed cuisine instead of specializing in one. We were worried it was going to taste like one as well but we were pleasantly surprised by how tasty the foods were! We got: 1. Fried calamari 2. Steamed vegetables (nicely seasoned!) 3. Gyro platter 4. Chicken platter The portions sizes were huge. We were definitely stuffed after our meal. The food wasn't anything fancy but it was still very delicious and we were glad we stumbled upon this place. The restaurant was spacious and there was no wait during a holiday week dinner. Staffs were friendly and the food came out quite fast as well. I would recommend this to anyone who likes a good comfort food!

Apollo Flame Bistro was recommended to me by my hotel. I was very pleased with this recommendation. The restaurant is a mix of Greek and Italian dishes. The restaurant has inside and outside seating and does a large take out business. Service was friendly and attentive. The decor isn't fancy but that is ok as it is the food that is important. I went with the cheese ravioli and wasn't expecting the additional cheese on top but who can say no to extra cheese. I really enjoyed this dish. Apollo Flame is on my list to return in June.

We had a reservation to dine outside so we could enjoy the sunset but unfortunately the forecast for thunderstorms canceled our plans. It ended up not raining but all good. We had an enjoyable dinner. The pizza was very good. The prosciutto was quite salty but the flavors balanced each other nicely. The roasted cauliflower was delicious as it had a lemon sauce with raisins and a cool cucumber like lite green sauce. We took pics outside with the beautiful mountain scenery. It was a very nice dinner. We were celebrating one my friend's birthdays too. She was given a friend cannoli dessert. We took it to go since we were full as a tick! It was a fun night filled with great food and laughter.

It came with store bought, flavorless pita bread and the dip tasted like any grocery store hummus. The Caesar salad was fine but nothing to get excited about and needed more garlic. The pizza was pretty good but a little floppy except the crust. And the meatballs seemed like store bought. We asked for hot honey on the side and there was no heat to the honey. The views are amazing. And our cocktails were delicious. Definitely come for a cocktail and the view but skip the food. But avoid too early / there was a crying baby at the next table - maybe because it's on the roof of the embassy suites.

We had some time to kill before our reservation so we went down to the speakeasy for a few and then up to the rooftop. Each area had different drinks so of course I had to order one from each. I was drinking mocktails btw. Not sure if the alcoholic options were different. My most favorite was the corn silk. It's seasonal though. We finally made it to our table and I was welcomed with a card signed by everyone and fresh flowers on the table. Since we did wait past our reservation time, we received complementary bread service which was homemade focaccia with marigold butter. Definitely recommend; it was amazing. I also received a birthday gift of veggies - okra and shishito peppers, I believe. I LOVE veggies so this was special to me. But then I also got the most amazing soft serve of corn and peppers with a tomato jam. Aside from it being my birthday and all the special things we got, the food was also amazing. We got the bone marrow tots to share, then I got the campanelle pasta. I forgot what my husband got but everything was just so so so sooooo amazing!! Our server was also amazing too. It's like everyone we met was just so happy we were there. And it was a genuine happy too. I felt so welcome there and we loved it so much we came back the next night too. I had to try the chanterelle mushroom gelato, but was too full the first night so I got it the second night along with more corn silk. The gelato was amazing btw. I don't think I've ever had chanterelle mushrooms, but now I can wait to eat them. We're home now but we are already planning our next trip back and would like to stay at the hotel next time. Definitely our new favorite place ever!

So we walked into Luminosa underdressed, absolutely soaking wet, and looking like we had just been rescued from a shipwreck. This is a really nice restaurant, so at this point I was pretty convinced either we weren't getting seated or my friends were going to spend the rest of their marriage talking about the dinner I ruined. I explained the situation to the staff and they could not have handled it better. No judgment, no making us feel out of place, nothing but an insane level of hospitality from the second we walked in. They even sent out a few dishes on the house. Our server Riley was phenomenal. Riley knew the menu inside and out, gave us all the information we needed without overexplaining everything, and never steered us wrong once. We basically put our dinner in Riley's hands, and that was probably the biggest reason the meal turned out as well as it did. And the food was fucking incredible. Not "we're drunk on a wedding weekend and everything tastes good" incredible. Every single one of us said it was one of the best meals we've ever had. And I don't say that because my culinary experience is limited to Applebee's and the Cheesecake Factory. I went to probably half the restaurants on the Michelin Guide while I was in Asheville, live in Atlanta where I've eaten at plenty of Michelin-recognized restaurants, and have been fortunate enough to eat at Michelin restaurants outside the US. Luminosa was still one of the best meals I've had anywhere. I walked in thinking I had completely screwed up dinner and walked out looking like a genius for picking the restaurant. I will be taking full credit for that and giving none to the tornado or Riley.

Most of the restaurants seating is at two long bars that are the length of the restaurant. The lamb skewers were impeccable -- do NOT miss this dish. It's such great flavor and the house pickles are a must with this!! The next was the paella. It was next level.
