It was the front signage that caught our eye and pulled us away from a regular good ole restaurant that looked good. We looked across the street and we said we gotta go there. As we entered the Jerusalem Café, the ambience was exactly as expected. We sat down to the seat cushions in a low table and ordered what was recommended by the waitress Asil which was super nice. My bride had the Gyro and potatoes and I had the Lamb Gyro bowl, which was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend the bowls as they come with hummus and pita chips and cauliflower and the meat was fantastic. I absolute recommend this place for the ambience the value and the food. It will be a treat for sure.

This place is such a gem of a restaurant. So unassuming on the outside bc the inside is so homey. There's an area in the back where you can sit on the floor w cushions, best way to eat IMO. The service was very sweet. Had the fattoush salad and a baklava, both delicious and generous serving size. Food based out of Palestine and Syria, 10000/10 recommend!

The food was authentic, fresh, and delicious. I will definitely return to Jerusalem Garden Cafe next time I am in the area. The ambiance is perfect. The service was quick.

Love this place! I got the vegetarian platter and it was delicious. Service was also great. Our waiter's name was Damien and he was wonderful.

Super yummy hummus, pita and lamb gyro! The interior was super pretty to look at as well. Only taking a star away because our waitress was a bit slow, but it's possible she had a lot of tables in the back I wasn't aware of.

Food, service, and ambiance were all great! I had the salmon plate with hibiscus tea and everything was phenomenal. The hibiscus tea and the cauliflower were especially great, and I don't even usually like cauliflower!

On a Girls trip to Ashville and in search of falafel, we stumbled upon Jerusalem Garden Cafe. What a find! Not only was the food delicious, but beautifully presented as well. We started with Falafel and Kabees and we all agreed the kabees served with zaater pita were exceptional! I had the moujaddra and my friends all had the Jordanian chicken bowl that came highly recommended by a fellow diner. The portions were large and the service was excellent! I wanted to try the Kunafa for dessert but was too full! My friends did try the Baklava and said it was delicious! We will definitely visit again when in the area!

The service was perfect! She didn't have any latte type drinks so she steamed some milk with mint tea. The food was excellent, and the bread that came with the plate was incredibly delicious! I even loved the flavor of the hummus and hummus isn't usually my favorite. Thank you for a great dining experience and very fresh and tasty food! I also had a baklava to go!

I was starving and saw their booth and a chalkboard of menu options I've never tried or heard of before. I approached and when asked what I would like, I was honest that I was unfamiliar with their cuisine but I trusted them. They asked how I wanted it and I said "how you would eat it! They made me the most incredible meal that has ever passed my lips. I followed Habibi Village on their Instagram so I could chase that high- and boy did I. I NEEDED more of that unique deliciousness. But I was saddened that I was only able to get their Za'aatar once or twice a week and had to travel to multiple spots around the city to a variety of markets and at such limited hours. It is with all of the joy in my heart to support Habibi Village at their brick-and-mortar location as they have grown to a full time spot. Their owner absolutely POURS his soul and spirit into this business and into every meal he serves the community. Plenty of restaurant owners love what they do and love their patrons but this owner stands above and beyond when it comes to passion. This gentleman cares about his food and his patrons on a deep and genuine level that you feel and taste. I clearly can't praise Habibi Village enough. Thank you for what you do for our community and our bellies!

My takeout was ready on time. While the falafel roll still might have been better fresh, I wanted something that I could plausibly eat several hours later on a mountain without a ton of restaurants nearby, and that choice worked out well. Many falafel rolls come with add-ons that I don't like, but the pickled turnip offering here was both flavorful and colorful. I also got their fries, drizzles with tahini and parsley, which is a good way to eat fries. A case of baked goods and a small market section of canned items were also available. There was certainly space to eat inside or out for someone without my travel schedule. It's also notable that in addition to the usual falafel, they offer ample vegan options as befits the Asheville community, including a house seitan and some other vegetable and fake meat options. I was happy with what I got, but the choice is always appreciated.

Gypsy Queen is one of my go-to places whenever I'm in Asheville. I live in Barnardsville and sometimes I go down there just to have some falafel. Try it for yourself!

The vibe eating outside on a cloudy 80 degree day made the experience even that more enjoyable. I apologize in advance for not remembering the actual menu names of the food we ordered, so I'm kinda winging it here. Speaking of wings, the Turkish spiced wings were so dang good! Perfectly spiced with tight and crispy skin. What a treat. The falafel app we ordered that came with hummus and babaganoush, wow. Excellent homemade falafel and you can tell the accompaniments were also made in house too. Could have eaten three more portions of the falafel by myself. The Chicken Adana kebab was moist and juicy and charred and spiced and seasoned and fantastically delicious. The basmati rice was buttery, the pita was toasted and fresh. I mean I don't know what else you can ask for. We may go back tomorrow again, it was that good! Keep up the great work Red Meze!

Yeah that didn't happen because this place was also packed on the patio LMAO So keep that in mind. Good weather=slim chances of sitting outside especially on a Saturday. But, we actually enjoyed sitting indoors, less busy inside, more quiet. The seat inside are like a bench style so keep that in mind if you are a huge privacy person. Also the tables are small so if you are ordering a appetizer try to finish before your food comes out that way she can grab it. It was very tight when the entree came. The wall has a unique aesthetic with different items stemming from their culture. Our waitress was really nice, great sense of humor, and very well dressed in appearance. She paid attention in making sure we got a refill. Appetizer: 3 triple dipper hummus where you get pita bread and 3 flavors of hummus. The jalapeno hummus is the only one that stood out with a taste and flavor. The other two tasted the same and was very bland in my opinion. I ordered the Meze Bowl with couscous and it was really good except the hummus I think it was red roasted I can't remember. I would have been happy just with the jalapeno hummus. The person who I was with ended up getting a kabob and he enjoyed his food. Will I go back ? Yes This was my first visit so next time I know what to order. But, I would be more interested in visiting on a regular weekday vs the weekend. I think people should check it out for sure!

We originally fell in love with the Chicken Kabobs, but after trying the salmon, it quickly became our favorite dish. The salmon is perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. We live in Asheville, so dining at Pomegranate on Main is always a special treat. Christian provided outstanding service throughout our meal--friendly, attentive, and eager to ensure everything was just right. We also love the Pomegranate Martini and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys martinis. During this visit, we were skipping alcohol, and Christian suggested the Pomegranate Mojito instead. HONEST FEEDBACK. The…read moreonly thing that took away from the experience was that it was my wife's birthday, which I had included in the reservation, and there wasn't any acknowledgment of it. I asked the hostess about it, and they said they could add a candle to a dessert if we purchased one. I was a little surprised by that, especially considering we were spending around $200 on the meal. Even just a simple birthday greeting from the staff would have been a nice touch and made the experience feel more special. One other note: the Filet Mignon itself does not come with any real sides, just a small microgreen garnish. At this price point, I would expect at least something simple included, like vegetables or a small accompaniment. We've been to other higher-end restaurants where the steak comes with something like carrots or seasonal vegetables, which helps make the plate feel more complete. Having just the steak on a large empty plate made the meal feel a little underwhelming for the price. I'm not trying to compare restaurants, but we've been to other upscale places where they add small touches like a complimentary dessert, a personalized menu saying "Happy Birthday" or "Happy Anniversary," or even a small celebration moment with a sparkler. Those little details really elevate the experience and make guests feel appreciated. The food was amazing, and the service was quick. We ordered two Filet Mignons, the Gnocchi, Confit Potatoes, and a Coke. Everything we had was delicious. I watched him throughout the night--expediting, hustling, and constantly moving to keep the team running at peak efficiency. You can tell when leadership truly cares about the experience in the room, and he absolutely sets the tone for excellence. We later learned the head chef was out on maternity leave, which honestly shocked us because the sous chef was in absolute beast mode. Plate after plate came out flawless. The consistency, quality, and presentation were top-tier--you would never know anything was missing from the kitchen leadership. Now the food... simply incredible. We tried all of the sides, and every single one felt like a masterpiece of its own. Each dish had a genius mix of flavors and the same "wow factor" you'd expect from a main course. Nothing felt like an afterthought. I think my favorites were the beets and sweet potato tots. Who knew those vegetables could be lifted into a literal stand alone experience. I ordered the Ribeye, medium rare, and it was cooked perfectly. The flavor, temperature, and seasoning were of the highest caliber--easily one of the best steaks I've ever had, and I've eaten all over the world. For appetizers we went with the Curry Mussels and Bone Marrow. They were beyond belief. Every plate held its own level of excellence. The food: Amazing. The atmosphere: Amazing. The team: On a whole other level of amazing. We were celebrating a business success, and the team at Asheville Proper made it feel like we were truly winning. Highly recommend.
