Stand-Up MRI of Queens offers an open seated MRI experience that changed everything for me. It is a little snug, but the open design makes all the difference. I had no issues sitting through the entire procedure, and for someone who had been dreading MRIs, that is a big deal. The technician recognized me from a previous visit and was warm, professional, and genuinely helpful throughout. That kind of familiarity and care goes a long way when you are already anxious about the process. One thing worth knowing that I did not realize until recently -- they will arrange transportation to and from your appointment and bill it directly to your insurance. I took advantage of the ride home and it was a seamless experience. If that is something that would help you, do not hesitate to ask about it. The moment you walk in you feel at home and like you've been there before even on your first time. The imagines were CLEAR and so spot on that my in laws were shocked at how much my son looked like his brother as a baby before he was even born. Technology has come a long way and its a skill that not all technicians have. I wish I had gone to her for my first, but I will be recommending her going forward. There is no parking lot but thankfully we found a spot on the same block. I arrived exactly at my 5pm appointment time and the wonderful Nigina took me straight in. This woman is absolutely the best technician I've ever had and I have 3 other children and many ultrasounds between all my pregnancies. She is thorough, she takes her time, she engages and talks to the parents and shows us amazing images in 3D/4D and HD as well. I went for my 15 week gender scan and my baby was so active, she knew I gave the baby "sugar" lol (Orange juice) She's so amazing at what she does. She didn't stop. She even went a little over my time limit until she found the gender. She was not giving up and she did a fantastic job making me so comfortable. We wanted to be surprised so we closed our eyes and she sealed it in an envelope for us. Her ultrasound HD machine is amazing but my baby is still small so the graphics aren't as clear as it is when they're bigger: I'm in awe. Thank you so much Nigina, you're literally the best! I seriously, truly mean that.

I'm disappointed with Dr Sonnenfeld. The office double booked my appointment time with another…read morepatient. I heard the other patient check in with the same Dr and the same appointment time. I went into the exam room, spoke to a PA and waited a few minutes. The door is wide open, I see this doctor walk past my room. He chose to go to the first person's room first. I heard him tell someone he'll go see the guy in another room and for the PA to see me. As I continue to wait, I overheard hear him discussing in the hallway with a colleague, going over candidates they were going to hire because "he really doesn't want to be working at the Kew gardens office" He tells his co-worker that it's "better to hire good looking people because patients will think they're in good hands if they look good. But if they're disheveled then they wouldn't trust them as much." I find this kind of conversation, loud enough for patients to hear, very unprofessional. A second PA visited me asking me the same questions and seemed very apathetic to be there. Told me the doctor will be in shortly. I waited another 10 minutes. Already over an hour since my appointment time. I still had not seen the doctor and there was no movement or attempt to try. I go to the PA and tell her unless the doctor has something significant to tell me I'm leaving. so I left and I don't think I'll come back here again. It's very disappointing. And I paid the copay before seeing the doctor which really shouldn't be that way but BUSINESS means more than patients for this practice.​
