I've been going to Dr. Bodian for a few years now for both medical and cosmetic services. As a physician myself, I can truly say he is one of the best doctors I've ever had. He is thorough, intelligent, patient, genuine, and in terms of cosmetic dermatology- conservative (less is more in his eyes). It is rare to find a cosmetic provider like him that will convince you to do less in order to achieve truly natural results, rather than doing superfluous injections and treatments just to profit more. He is the only person I trust with putting a needle in my face! The staff is also so attentive, responsive, and kind! Office is clean and modern, and every visit is streamlined and efficient. Was recommended to Dr. Bodian by a friend. Turns out the friend only went to him once. The guy barely looked at me, did no testing, and dx me with mites. Did no skin scrapings or any testing. When I said "mites' he said "I am just saying". Didn't have a clue. Ordered a toxic medication to put on my whole body. I have asthma and multiple allergies. Going for a different opinion for sure. Have had this condition for 2 years. If it were mites I would be infested by now and so would my household! read more

Made an appointment for 2PM. Waited until 2:30, when I asked how much longer the doctor would be, the staff responded saying that they could not give me a possible time. When I complained about the time the staff made it seem as if it was a normal occurrence. I left the office and will never return. A friend referred me to Dr. Bodian after a random skin issue arised. He was not helpful at all. Told me that with my skin complexion I need to moisturize. Told me to rub vaseline over my wet body after I shower. Great advice, except I don't have dry skin and it was way more serious than that. I sought advice from my original dermatologist and received a legitimate medical diagnosis. I will never return and would not refer this doctor to anyone. read more

doctor bodian is great but with exceptions. you need to have a life threatening disease or major cosmetic issues for him to really work his magic. if you have regular eczema or some weird rash that won't go away, then feel free to go to one of his PAs. because i have discoid lupus, he is very caring and careful with me. he has treated my skin and really helped me with all my facial issues that my lupus has destroyed. i am a work in progress and dr. adam knows what to do every step of the way. read more

Best dermatologist I've ever been to! Dr. Bodian is extremely knowledgeable, patient and honest. He took his time to perform a thorough skin analysis on me and didn't try pushing a bunch of treatments on me. Another dermatologist recommended clear and brilliant for me and he told me it's not a good choice for someone with my complexion because it could cause hyperpigmentation. I go to Dr. Bodian for annual skin cancer exam. As a breast cancer survivor & family history of melanoma, Dr. Bodian has always been extremely vigilant in my skin exams. He examines me literally from my scalp to in between my toes. He is very professional & there is always a female medical staff person present in the exam room. read more

I did NOT have a good experience at this office. I came back twice for the same issue because I felt I was not given a thorough exam the first time around. On my second visit, I waited an hour, then sat in the exam room for another half hour. I was told that I didn't inform the staff why I was there, which makes NO sense since I was coming back because I was dissatisfied. They were the ones who suggested I try again with the main dermatologist. "If they had known," as I was told, they would have set more time aside for my visit - a full body exam. When I was given this "new" appointment, I was told beforehand I would not have to repay the co-pay. But come time to leave, they had to check again to make sure I didn't have to pay. Also, during visit #1, they used liquid nitrogen on my skin and gave me no info as to what to expect or how to care for the huge blister which left an open wound. I had to come back the next day to get this info, only to be told that the person who saw me is "very thorough." Really? Both visits were rushed...except for the time I spent waiting. I am sure others have had fine experiences here, but I can assure you that I will never recommend this place or return myself. read more

They put me on famvir for a rash. After 3 days i started sneezing repeatedly. i called up and the nurse and she said it must be allergies. So I continued the fanvir and had an anaphylatic attack with swollen eyes and I could hardly breathe. i went back to them and they sent me to my interist who said it was allergies and then was sent to an allergist who could not find anything i was allergic to. I finally looked up on line that famvir can cause severe allergic reactions. His nurse made a huge error telling me to continue the famvir. I have since changed doctors read more

I have been to Dr. Bodian several times in the past few years, and have NEVER waited for long at all. If you need a Dermatologist (I switched from a older guy not too far away who routinely keeps patients waiting 2-3 hours and is then a condescending ass with poor skills) definitely give Dr Bodian a try. I've been going to Dr. Bodian since I was a young teenager and I have tried every Prescription and bought all their products for acne and nothing worked. My appointments were always short and they barely looked at my skin. I finally got put on accutane. I do not recommend anyone going here for accutane. They don't listen or really care what you have to say. This is a strong medication and they honestly don't even care if you're worried. Their monthly check ups are short and they barely ask you any questions like they're supposed to. They don't even really go over your blood test until you ask if everything is ok , I've been waiting for them to send in my prescription now for days and they can't even get that done. I have to keep calling different numbers and no one knows what's going on. Not to mention the wait time in the office is insane. At LEAST an hour each time and I waited two and half hours before too. A lot of the people who work there are pretty rude minus a few. if you want to go somewhere that will patiently explain things to you and talk to you and truly try to help you, especially if you're on medication like accutane, I do recommend this place. read more

I don't usually write reviews but I just returned from Dr. Bodian's office and had a horrible experience that I do not wish on anyone else. I waited for an hour, which is the norm with any dermatologist in the area so this wasn't surprising. When I did finally see the doctor, he asked me why my face was so red, the very reason I came to seek his professional assistance. Not only did it make me uncomfortable but it made me question what he can do for me since he was asking me the questions I was seeking answers for FROM HIM! Then he suggested I try Acutane. I wasn't too familiar with this medication so I was asking questions. The doctor seemed eager to end my questioning and offered me some literature about the medication, which I appreciated. He prescribed me two medications and said he would give me "a moisturizer to try out". To my ears, this sounded like a sample of a moisturizer and who doesn't love samples?! I got my prescriptions and waited for this moisturizer that never came. I asked staff about it and they referred me to the spa. At the spa, I was given a random moisturizer from off the shelf and was rang up for $100-- for a moisturizer I did not ask for nor was looking for. I asked if they offered samples of the product before I spent money on it to which she replied no and proceeded by saying " I'm not sure what you're looking for, if you want neutrogena then go to a drug store". --Nice. Lastly, I awaited my Acutane information. I asked 2 staff members for it until I was instructed to get it myself from the back. I went to the back and happened to see the doctor who I asked and who could not even finish his sentence before dodging into another room with no respect for me or my quick question. Finally, a nurse came and handed me a pamphlet, which I grabbed and headed out, eager to escape the pretentious prison. At home, I grabbed the infamous pamphlet that was so hard to get my hands on and of course, IT WAS IN SPANISH. had an 11:15am appt. - I had asked if I would be out by 1:00pm when I arrived since I had another appt. - told of course - wasted an hr. sitting there and realized i would be still waiting at 1pm so I left. Seems the office overbooks his appts without any concern for the patients time as though they have nothing else to do. Is there often a wait...yes...but that's because they know what they are doing and take their time to ensure every individual is properly cared for. The office staff at the front desk is by far the friendliest and most organized out there. Angela is just the best!! :) To their credit, they have a lot of patience dealing with very demanding and often snobby Long Island clientele. They treat everyone in a calm and professional manner. As for the medical staff, I have seen Dr. Bodian and Mina most often. I cannot say enough great things about both of them! They care for you when you are there and even respond to their after hours emergency line within minutes as needed. I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Bodian and his staff to family, friends and even my colleagues and students. If you disagree with this review, you are likely one of those snobby, Long Island clientele I mentioned or just enjoy posting negative reviews.
