Apollo Pools rebuilt my pool and spa in 2018. They removed old pavers and installed new ones with perimeter drainage, refinished the pool surface, installed new heater, filter, pump, lights, ozone generator and rock fall. They also fixed some settling issues around the perimeter of the pool. The crew was excellent and Dominic kept me informed. The longest delay was waiting for the pavers. The only complaint I have is regarding their pool rescreening subcontractor they use. He wasn't very good as the screen often pulled out from the channel. Eventually after a number of visits the issue was fixed. My recommendation is to get someone else for the screening. Anyway, it is now 6 years later and everything is working well. I recommend Apollo pools. My job was a total makeover and they managed every aspect well. I have no complaints and would use them again. read more

Apollo pools is the worst pool company stay away from them. It's never the same person who cleans weekly. I had them for 22 years and the last 5 have been the worst. The customer service sucks. The PH balance in my pool was so high it burned my grand kids eyes they were just dumping chemicals in and not keeping it balanced. They sometimes just would not show up. I switched to skimmer's pool company and they are great. Gary got my pool back on track. The filter was so dirty it was blow back into the pool but Apollo pools never checked it. If I could leave zero stars, I would. We are now dealing with an algae filled pool because the technicians failed to show up and perform their typical chemical service that we pay for monthly. When we called the office, we got no answer we left a message with no return call. I then decided to email the office. We got a prompt phone call only to be called liars by the owner. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The Sales guy was great. But after him, everything from that point on was HELL. They damaged so much of our property. Didnt tarp anything when spraying the concrete. Our entire, almost brand new $10k fence had cement all over it, as well as our back door of our brand new, just built house. They attempted to power wash & scrape off the cement which put huge scratches all over the fence. He offered to take off 10% of the cost of the fence off our total, way more than 10% was damaged. We asked ahead of time if they were going to put pavers over the small concrete slab outside of the door because we were made aware that the slab had rebar & needed to stay. I was told they would go over it. Then woke up one morning to them sledgehammering away at it. While doing so they took out a chunk of stucco on our house. They said they could fix it & their "fix it" was worse than it was before. I would've been embarrassed at what they left as their "fix." We paid several hundred to actually have it fixed. We paid $1000 to have our irrigation system capped/rerouted. We were told it was fine to reroute ahead of time as long as it went around where the pavers would be. We did so. The plumber cut the new lines w/o any communication w/ us whatsoever. They expected us to again pay $1200 to have it redone. The plumber also buried our fence gate that we had to have off for the machinery to get thru into the yard. We were home the whole time. He didn't ask us to move it, or move it himself. He laid the panels down on the ground & buried them in mud. This was on the side of our house where we didnt notice for quite awhile so the gate panels were all discolored & broken. They changed out the outdoor outlet we used to charge our golf cart. The one they switched out & put in wasn't strong enough to handle our golf cart, like the one originally there before they messed w/ it. It caused our golf cart charger & extension cord to fuse together the 1st time we tried to charge it after they messed w/ it. Our lithium batteries would also no longer hold a charge. Between the batteries/charger etc another $3000 in damages. Text him about it a couple times, no response. Finally got a response that they would change out the outlet but no apology, no offer to cover those expenses. At one point I spoke on the phone w/ the owner because our pool sat 4 weeks w/ no work being done. He tried to say his workers tried to come several times but "our truck was blocking where they needed to park on the road." We have cameras that record & I told him that was a lie. He got very rude & unprofessional at that point & said "well next time my workers are there, YOU Should probably ask them why they said that." I asked if I could speak to the owner because I was so appalled at how he was speaking to me, only to find out he was the owner. He said "you must not know who you're talking to. I AM the owner." I called him out for his rudeness & unprofessionalism & he said "well listen to how you're talking to me." I never yelled, never cussed but yes I was extremely angry at this point & it was obvious. We are paying $90k dollars, & this company put us through hell. We had every right to be angry. Also when asking why no work was getting done 4 weeks, he said the plumber couldnt get thru because of where they put the pavers outside the gate. Thought maybe the plumber needed machinery, but then watched the plumber the entire time & there was no machinery brought in & no reason he couldnt have gotten through the pavers. There was plenty of room for what he needed to do. Owner was rude about this also, then later said he found out the plumber did this to several people. Never did I get any kind of politeness/apology until I said I was leaving reviews. We had several companies come out to give us estimates to finish it. They all said 3 things are wrong w/ the work theyve already done. Asked him for an explanation, he said he could "meet to explain." Apollo pools resurfaced our pool and replaced tiles and Put new grout on all the tiles they gave us a 7 year warranty , well coming up on the 7 year warranty we developed a crack in the surface near the steps a heavily used place . We called Apollo pools in June and John came out and inspected the pool confirmed that is was still under warranty and that the were going to fix it for us . Well by October we hadn't hear anything from them so I called them and asked what was going on I spoke with Sara she assured me that they were going to put us on the schedule after inspection ( now remember we had already been inspected ) so more time passed and nothing no calls no text no email and we were coming up on the December warranty expiration they wouldn't take my calls or call me back so I turned to the bbb and filed a complaint after that they did finally come out drain our pool and send a sub contractor out to cut out a hole and patch it it looks like crap, doesn't anyone have any pride in their work anymore ? John finally came out and said they would come out with a diamond head sander and try to make the patch less noticeable that was in 11/2020 I have never heard a word from them since then ! Horrible customer service. Horrible pool cleaning. Every week my pool was not clean and I would call them. One week they came out 3 times and still didn't clean it after I had sent them pictures. I would take the pictures right after they left. One time I caught them out there as they were leaving and ran my hand around a small portion of the pool and came back with a hand full of dirt. I told him his net with huge holes would not get the debris and he informed me he gets paid 6 dollars per pool and couldn't spend the whole day on my pool. I took a pic of one of the 2 handfuls of dirt I wiped out of the pool. I have made no less than 10 requests for a call from the company and they won't call me. They service my pool. They allowed it to go from slightly green to sludge over the course of the month. They most recently left an unattended sump pump that flooded my yard and drained the pool below the skimmer. It's a vinyl line pool and gets damaged if the water levels too low. Now I have to pay to refill my pool because they said the chemical level was off. They were in charge of the chemical level. My screen door to the pool has also been broken even though I haven't used it. The only people that use it is the pool vendor. I was told it was like that when they got here. Invitation homes does not take responsibility, hopefully Apollo pools well. I would not use this vendor. As professional I've dealt with hundreds and hundreds of pools and I've never had a service take a month to get a pool from green to clean especially when they were the ones maintaining the pool in the first place. read more

I really tried not to go this route for two reasons, 1st because I try to be very understanding and "roll with the punches" & 2nd I fear reprisal from Apollo Pools on my construction job. I'm going to attempt to be very detailed here in hopes that one of the owners contacts me and we could get this project finished as promised. I signed my contract back in Oct 2020 (while pandemic was mid-stride) and was told due to the pandemic permits were taking double the time so my project wouldn't start till late January 2021. Fast forward to late January, I have not heard anything from them, I reached out over 10 times (call and text) and no response. I get a call from Dominic mid Feb saying that my walk through would be last week of February. Fast forward again to walkthrough, I'm told the project start is 2 weeks out because Paul was taking a few weeks vacation. Fast forward the two week, again I'm reaching out to see the status, and no return calls. I finally got a hold of Beth (works in the office) and asked her if you could have one of the owners call me. 2 days pass, and no call. I called Beth again and after about 5 tries I was able to get a hold of her, and she told me "well I told him to call you, I can't make him call you." I asked her to ask again, and by the end of that day I received a call from one of the owners. While I had a meaning conversation with him, I was lead to believe my project was back on track and was actually told by him, "you will have water in your pool in 8-12 weeks. ( this was mid March). He also mentioned Chad was hired to get them get back on track with all the work they have going on, and he should be my POC going forward. Fast forward to I have a hole in the backyard, and the shotCrete was being poured. Not only did they make a mess, they had the shotcrete all over my neighbors house, and front yards for 2 houses, to where a complaint was made against me to the county, which was something I had to deal with. It took me 3 days to get a hold of someone at Apollo pools, and they sent out 2 pool boys to clean up, and of course using my hose and water. (And it's till not entirely clean off my neighbors) Okay so now I have a concrete hole in my back yard and 3 weeks pass and no progress, I've reached out to Chad over 20+ times and I'd had enough. I show up to the office April 16 and as I walk in (4pm) Beth greats me and says how can she help me. I tell her who I am and I need to speak to the owner in person. She immediately tells me he just left for the day. I asked if she could at least call him so I can speak to him and she responds "no we are about to Close" I then ask her if their hours were still to 5pm, and she responded "yes but I'm going to pick up my aunt". Needless to say, at this point I'm frustrated bythe customer service I'm receiving from this company who has been around the area for 23 years. Beth goes into the back office and calls someone, she tells me someone will be here to talk to me in 30 min. 1 hour later Chad walks in and we go into an office and he starts out by telling me "I know you want good customer service, but I'm going to tell you now you aren't going to get it" he then continued to say "I'm too busy to be on the phone but when we are done with you pool your are going to love it" I explained to him that regardless as a paying customer, I deserve to be communicated with. He then made a promise to my face saying "from here on out, I will let you know what's going on and when it will happen" (he hasn't called me since on anything) on my way out he tells my 3 kids, that they will be enjoying this summer. Well tomorrow is the last day of school and they are nowhere close to being able to enjoy the pool. 12 May- crew comes out to work on the pavers, and screen was supposed follow immediately, but nothing. I called the office and Beth got snappy with me. Currently I'm having issues with my neighbor because of delays that Apollo Pools has created. I hope an owner can contact me and we can resolve this, mend the relationship, and reassess my thoughts on Apollo pools. As a 100% disabled veteran, my physical therapy relies on pool movement and exercises, which I do locally but have been praying to do it at my own home! There is much more I can say about what I've been dealing with, but I'm hoping John reaches out to me, I've tried every avenue to get a hold of him from Facebook, to LinkedIn, to walking to the office, leaving numerous messages for him, but So far it's fallen on death ears. read more

I paid for full service and for several weeks the technician provided only chemical service. He stated he had my pool confused with the pool my neighbor. I had to nag them for refund for missed April visits and did not receive the credit until the middle of May. In the meantime, by May 14th, they had NEVER performed any service visits in May. When I filed a dispute with my credit card company for the May charges, Apollo lied to VISA by claiming that the credit issued in May (for missed April visits) resolved the dispute for the May charges. It started with their salesman, Dominic, who proudly told me that he is not a commissioned salesman. After receiving their quote, to reline our pool and pave the lanai, I began to negotiate a better price. He got insulted and said "I'm not going to let someone nickel and dime me'" which insulted me. Despite that, I accepted their revised offer. Then, I went to their rather shoddy headquarters, to pick out the coating, tile coping and pavers. After making all my choices, Dominic told me they would begin the construction in 6-8 weeks and asked for 50% of the entire price. Should be a BIG FAT ZERO rating. Had been a customer for 3 plus years. When they were fired they didn't even bother to ask WHY? My tech John (not the owner) did a great job for a majority of the three year relationship. At the end of June he was no longer with the company. That was a Tuesday. I called Apollo on Thursday and was told John was gone and a tech had covered him that Tuesday of the same week. I told the lady no one had been out. She said "oh, well we've had an issue with that tech (Chris?) lying." A tech would be out Sat between 9 and 12. At 1 pm on Saturday I was calling and later on a guy showed up and dumped in a yellow container of liquid chlorine. No contact with me. No apology for the lies earlier in the week or for being late to do his job. I watched for the next few weeks. The tech NEVER touched the pool skimmer let alone empty it. NEVER touched the pump skimmer. On July 28th I asked the guy when he would be rinsing the filter cartridge (hadn't been done since John left the company). He was indignant and stated he did it that day AND two weeks prior, on July 14th. Well as it turns out I documented on my dry erase board on the 14th the tech entered the pool cage at 12:32 pm and at 12:34 pm he exited the cage and the yard. I watched him drive away. All he did was put chlorine tab in floater and flip it back into the pool. TWO MINUTES, done. I also sent a number of texts to my son in reference to this incident. These folks lied to me on numerous occassions and claimed to do work they never did. They are untrustworthy and undependable. On August 4 the tech left his paper stating chemical service and the pool was shocked. It was green at the deep end before he "shocked" the pool. Took pictures on August 5th and there was ZERO change. Still green. I am now doing the pool service myself with the help of Jim at Leslie's Pool. Apollo Pools did the whole package for us. Refinished the pool, create new steps in the pool, put pavers around the pool and screened in area and re-screened the pool cage. Total was around $26,000.00. The pool refinished looks beautiful - used the Sun Stone Pearl Ice Pebble. My one and only comment is when we were shown the sample of the pool finish. This was a smoothed finish. Our pool finish is rough. My bathing suit gets caught in the pebbles a lot. No one mentioned the finished would be rough to us. Found out about this when we were able to get into our pool a couple of weeks ago. Please make sure this is the kind of finish you want for your pool. Have cut a toe and finger already on the pebbles. The pavers are beautiful. Then again we picked a smaller paver because of the price. These are harder to walk on. If you are older like we are - you should probably get bigger pavers to make it easier to walk. We still have a problem opening our French doors into the screened in area. Pavers needed to be cut thinner to fix this problem. We had our pool redone in winter when wood doesn't have much humidity to expand. The company who did this job was wonderful and did a good job and I would give them a four star. The company who did the rescreening of the pool cage was awful. Asking to clean the gutters around the pool area - this was extra plus they never cleaned them all the way. We have two plants growing out of these gutters (after 3 months)? It took the company almost two months to come back out and finish the job. The anchor screws needed to be replaced, not done at the time it was rescreened. The rubber around the screen area in the door still has screen hanging out. Never finished the job correctly by cutting the screening material around the door. Lost a down spout to one of our gutters - I was told by them this didn't happen. The rescreening company was a one star. All in all - Apollo Pools did a good job. Dominic is a star sales person. He was on every question or problem for me. Dominic learned a lot from our job - this took about 3 weeks to get done instead of one week. The owner worked with you also. The company would get a four and half stars but with the screening company - this is why I gave the whole project a three and half stars. Hope this helps everyone. I do not recommend Apollo Pools. I am so glad we do not have this pool service any longer. It was one thing after the other with them. I didn't deal with them directly, but my SO did and he was ALWAYS in a bad mood after dealing with them. I don't have specifics on the situations he dealt with. All I know is he was so fed up with them that he forfeited his year deposit with them just to get rid of them. After we fired them, they came on to our property and STOLE our pool vacuum. When we called, they said they took theirs. (Which clearly they DIDN'T). The manager said he would have to check, blah, blah, blah. After some back and forth, they finally brought the vacuum back (it wasn't even the brand they use!). As I have seen on other reviews, it started getting white spots and terrible blotchiness all over the pool. They made some attempts to correct but that was not successful.The re-grout was never completed. The spa water still does not flow properly over the spillway. Services performed were installing new plumbing, new pumps/filters, refinishing the entire pool including tile, and installing new pavers on the pool deck. The total cost of the services was $11,679. The work was completed on 10/7/2016. Since then we purchased the home in 2018 and noticed that there looks to be a pool leak in 11/2020. I called Apollo pools and was told that because we are not the original owners of the home when the work was performed that they will not honor the warranty. I find this to be a bad business practice that shows me that Apollo Pools will not stand behind their work, however they WILL cash your check. I received the original paperwork and invoice from the previous owners and no where on the paperwork does it state that the warranty is void if the property is sold. We previously fired several pool cleaning services. We find Apollo to be the most professional. They respond very quickly to requests. They take initiative. They do a thorough job cleaning the pool and the pool deck. We would highly recommend them. Will is especially diligent and shows great initiative. read more

This is the worst company. Do not use them for anything. They were my current pool company and I decided to get a quote to have my pool resurfaced and retiled. They also gave me a quote for pavers. I went to the office and told Dominic that I was only going to do the resurface and tile as I found pavers cheaper elsewhere. He rewrote the minus pavers. 4 days later he care back to me and said even though i have a quote in my hand they won't honor it unless I do pavers. Dominic stated he was distracted when giving a quote to me. Totally unprofessional. As far as pool service, no one ever answers the phone. I pay for weekly service and I don't get weekly. They have no problem taking your money but won't show up. Beth in the office is incompetent as well. Stay away from them. read more

Apollo pools was supposed to paint and reseal our pool deck about 7 months ago. It took over a month for them to come and the paint was chipping after 2 weeks. In addition, the deck is now so slippery that it's dangerous to walk on, even when dry. I called and even went into their office to complain but nothing was ever done. We are very dissatisfied with their work and customer service. read more
