My 89 year old Mom was a patient at this facility. She was transferred from Memorial Pembroke in…read morelate January for rehab and we were expecting that to be at least for 3 weeks as was told by the social workers at the main hospital. We began getting discharge notices after the 6th day. She arrived late on a Friday evening so she did not get assessed by anyone upon arrival. On Saturday the PT person asked her if she wanted to do any therapy and of course My mom said no to that as she was tired from being transferred so late the night before. No PT on Sunday and On Monday got her first PT and second on Tuesday. On Wednesday we received her first Discharge order after only getting two days of actual PT. The aides PT and Nursing Staff and respiratory staff were Very good to Her and kept her well fed and very Clean. I cant thank them enough for the attention. Only one Glitch was a Young Flakey Respiratory Tech that walked in unannounced to my mothers room and opened the Curtain around my moms Bed while she was being Changed and Naked and Announcing he was there to do her Respiratory Treatment. I took issue with his Lack of Consideration for her privacy and just told him so and asked him to leave the room. When i went to the in charge Nurse to complain about his actions the Respiratory tech took issue with my complaining about what he did and began approaching me while I was leaning against to Nursing stations Counter and he was saying he didnt like my telling him to leave the room. While he was saying that he approached me even more and now I was feeling cornered and felt his action of approaching me so close was a bit hostile. I asked him three times to back away but he only came forward even more to which I said if he came any closer I was going to punch him. That when he backed off and went around, the nurses station and sat down in a chair. I finished telling the supervisor on duty about what he did in the room while my mother was being changed And then went to my mom's to see if they had finished prepping her for bed at night. Not 10 minutes later a policeman showed up because he called the police and they escorted me out of the building. The next day, when I went to see my mother, I was told I was not allowed in the building or to see her. The management staff, instead of protecting my mother's right to privacy as per the patient bill of rights that is posted on every wall in every room instead chose to defend this employee's actions and prevent me from spending time with my mother. The only time I could spend with her was for an hour each day, and it was outside on the bench beyond the doors of the facility. Management staff there is Rude and Disgusting and don't give a damn about the patient's mental well-being. Patients that have been in a facility like that need to have family members present and they chose to take away the right of my mother to have that available to her. So again, I would say that, for the most part, the whole staff from the nursing, the Techs and the Aides do a wonderful job with these patients, and I cant say enough about them and the treatment they provide to the patients but the upper management there is awful and the Social services personnel are cold and uncaring as well as condescending people! I give the working staff five stars, but the management and that one Respiratory Tech I wrote about get No star in my opinion! Thank you to all the staff that treated my Mother so well. I've done 5 visits here so far…read more I've been seen and treated by both Dr. Mike Surdis and Dr. Cherry. Both do a fantastic job aligning your vertebrae to release pressure that has built up on your nerves. For me, the issue is my neck and lower back. My treatment plan consists of a 40 minute problem area massage with a massage therapist working with the soft tissues in my back and neck to achieve pain relief. The massage is not as thorough as others I've had at other offices. Next, is the quick stretch and about 20 minutes or so of electrotherapy with a therapist. Lastly is the manual adjustment with the doctor. The staff is friendly. Nice seating area with TV's and magazines. They also have complimentary coffee. The office is big with many treatment rooms. At times, you are sharing the room with another patient. I understand that they are a busy practice but the bathroom needs paint and some cleaning. I have been very happy with the latest treatment I received from Dr. Cherry. He always has time to check in on how you feel, how the last treatment worked and to address and discuss any concerns you may have. He is a great listener and has impeccable bedside manner.

My mother-in-law's admission to this rehab facility was handled extremely poorly from start to…read morefinish. I personally drove her to the facility and provided a 30-minute arrival window, followed by a 10-minute advance notice before we arrived. Despite this, no one was prepared to receive her. When we arrived, there was no staff member to greet us, and it took over 20 minutes for someone to locate a wheelchair. During that entire time, my mother-in-law--an elderly patient--was forced to wait in the car, in the Florida heat, which was completely unacceptable. The care only worsened once she was inside. When my mother-in-law asked a tech nurse for assistance to use the bathroom, she was shockingly told to "go urinate in your diaper." This comment was not only degrading and cruel, but deeply concerning for a healthcare facility that is supposed to care for vulnerable patients with dignity and compassion. I raised these serious concerns directly with the CEO and requested accountability. Although we had a face-to-face meeting, I never received any follow-up, explanation, or response afterward. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise families to place their loved ones elsewhere. The lack of preparation, basic care, and respect shown here is alarming. No one deserves to be treated this way. The only positive is that the rehab technicians were very good.

Encompass is both a hospital and rehab center. The staff were professional and kind . The food was excellent. The physical therapy helped me to walk. Based on reviews, I chose Wilton Manors Health and Rehabilitation Center. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival, my mother received poor care and was not provided with meals appropriate for her diabetic needs. The food served to her and other patients was unacceptable in both quality and presentation. When I raised concerns, the facility's nutritionist responded with an unprofessional attitude. It is alarming that such standards are tolerated in a healthcare setting. Several nurses responsible for administering medication displayed poor bedside manners and showed little concern when my mother's blood sugar levels were high. The rehabilitation program was inadequate--she received only five minutes of therapy after four days in the facility (arriving Thursday evening, therapy began Monday). This lack of timely intervention severely impacted her recovery. The only positive aspect was the kindness and professionalism of two staff members who took vital signs and changed bedding. They genuinely cared for the patients. If you have no choice but to select this facility for your loved one, I strongly recommend being actively involved in their care to ensure they receive proper attention. After 10 days, I removed my mother from the facility and brought her home. Sadly, she still cannot walk and will now require physical and occupational therapy at home to regain mobility.

It's really been an excellent experience, 5 stars all around. The front desk / office experience was superb. There's a very 21st century check in kiosk that has very cool technology ( an AI program recognizes that you are nodding yes to answer or spells out what you said...sort of like being checked in by Siri). The main reception is very businesslike. The care staff is also uniformly friendly. You can just tell from just about everything they do, that most enjoy what they do and genuinely care about getting good outcomes for patients. My friend says the food is quite good, especially by hospital / healthcare commissary standards. The design layout is also well done, with almost every room and hallway getting sunlight, including a large central courtyard. Signage is easy and clear. The most impressive and surprising thing was how fast everything fell into place, and the organization. Within 15 minutes of my friend's first day arrival a fellow named Sam (who's sort of the case manager / concierge) came by to introduce himself, followed by other staffers pretty quickly.
