My son and I booked a 4.5hr Mine Tour and all I can say is that it did not disappoint…read more Starting from the time we arrive at 9am, the lady at the counter got us checked in and handed us slips to fill out for lunch in which we pick what we want from a list. The lunch was provided by their onsite food truck guys in the parking lot, "Your Momma's Kitchen" which had very good food. Burgers/Fries/Chicken sandwiches were the norm. Moving on to outside, Scott got us fitted for helmets and goggles and had us pick our machine, we chose the 2-seater model and got settled. There were 5 rentals in our tour that day, (2) 2-seaters and (3) 4-seaters, plus Scott in the lead. After getting everyone outfitted, Scott got us all together and gave a quick rundown of what we were going to do, what to expect, as well as a quick safety brief. He asked everyone on the tour what their experience level was and talked with us all about the machines. The tour was off and going up, down, and through the hills was completely awesome. It had rained the night before so the trails were just right for slipping, sliding, and having great fun. Luckily, we wore rain gear for the trip, and I will tell you this: I will take mud on the clothes over eating dust all day. The rain was a welcome addition to the trails for us. Over the course of the trip, Scott would stop the tour, provide water or bathroom breaks, and give us history about the place. It was just a few minutes each time, but it was a welcome break. The Mine Tour came after lunch. We all lined up and drove through after Scott. It is surprisingly cool in there, 55 degrees no matter the temp outside he said. We stopped halfway through the tour inside the mine, gathered all the units together and we shut off all the lights.... complete and utter darkness all around. He kept talking through it, giving us some history on the mine and how far in we were. Luckily the lights went on before anyone really freaked out and we got on our way. Getting back to base, we posed for pics and thanked everyone. You leave your dirty helmets on a bench and walk away from your mud-covered machine; they clean it all for you. We washed our boots and took off our rain gear, we were good to go for the car ride back. All in all, we would totally do this again. We were in from California and this was a great way to spend half a day in the hills; tearing ass through the mud, gassing it up the hills and ripping through water puddles. The trails are pretty well maintained; some have ruts but most do not. Heck, what do you expect with 100 people a day riding and tearing it up? Good water spots to go through, some good long straightaways to get up some speed, and hairpin turns to slow you down. We didn't hit any jumps that day; that's probably a different insurance form to fill out. LOL Things to bring: - Riding attire/gloves or a change of clothes. You will get muddy. - Phone for pics and music. The side by sides have Bluetooth, so if you want to listen to music as you tear through the hills, it's available. The music is nice for a bit, but hearing that engine rev up as you run up a hill is music to my ears. - A rag or cloth to clean your goggles; they get pretty muddy - GoPro with mount if you want to record your adventure. All in all, it's a must for me if I ever return to Pennsylvania. They were professional, in good communication before and after the tour, and to me, well worth the money. Scott (our guide) really made the trip what it was for us. His attitude was awesome, and he obviously loves his job. Thank you Scott for a great day!

We had a younger nervous 11 year old rider on a horse that was not behaving. The trail guide went…read moreto try and hook up to her horse and it caused the horses to nip at each other and our young rider got even more nervous. The situation was not handled quickly or correctly as it was happening for a bit before she addressed the problem. The trail guide gave no instructions on how to handle the horses before we left. We were lucky we had all ridden before and already knew. There was no talking by the trail guide during the ride except once to tell us to lean forward going up a hill and then once to tell us to lean back going down a hill. We had a fun time but there definitely could have been more communication and information given with the horseback riding. We also had two people ride an ATV and they had a great experience and lots of fun and learned a lot about the farm and area we were in from their trail leader.

I reserved a 30ft Cruise America Motorhome via internet in advance to take a 4 day weekend trip…read morewith my family of 6 and go to a Nascar Race in Bristol Tennessee. My family and I go to about 5 races each year. The Cruise America Motorhome was ready when I arrived, however, the gentleman 'Ed" behind the counter seemed unhelpful and 'slow' in expediting my paperwork and didn't really seem interested in moving off his chair as I feel he should when a customer is wanting service. My paperwork was completed and I was immediately brought to the awaiting motorhome right outside the door. A pleasant young woman introduced herself and explained in great detail the outside and inside features of the 30ft. Cruise America Motorhome. Unbeknownst to her, I have previously rented Cruise America Motorhomes from the Airport location and knew these features, but I followed her lead patiently around the motorhome, listening attentively, expecting to learn something new perhaps. This motorhome was extremely clean, inside and out, what a nice surprise! She also explained the road assistance (in case of a flat tire e.g.) from Cruise America's Road Side Assistance program. As we entered the Motorhome, the inside was unbelievably clean for 96,000+ miles as compared to the CA motorhome rentals I have gotten in the past from a nearby location with a lot less mileage. The control panel was fully functional indicating the black & grey water levels, battery, propane, and water contents. Everything inside was operational and in great condition, which made our trip that much more enjoyable. Additionally, we previewed all the Cruise America videos from the Cruise America website to obtain any new information about the rental. The employee was knowledgeable, patient, and sweet throughout the explanations. As expected from Cruise America's policy, prior to bringing it back to this location, we cleaned the motorhome after our trip and had no issues dropping it to this location on a Sunday night. Our family had a wonderful trip and no issues with this motorhome. I would definitely rent another motorhome ONLY from this location; the cleanliness, prompt MH service, and personal attention we received will make it easy for us to rent another motorhome from the Miley location for our upcoming Nascar races.....GREAT EXPERIENCE

The owners are nice but they seem to focus more on the gambling than the rv park. Our Spicket froze and they had told us workers were not present and we can get a heat gun and thaw it instead of them. Was not happy with that answer since it was not us that froze and it was their property. There's a dog that gets away from his owners often (I think he's a basset hound mix) and he came off as aggressive as he barked at me and backed me into my fencing. There's also people who leave their dogs outside ALLLLLL day on a lead line and they bark and bark and bark literally all day. Cops presence here is often in the same row. The campers in this row are very run down and an eye sore to look at. Not sure if these would even be able to run down the road legally. We also saw police here 4 times. The charge for electric is 0.17 a kilowatt so it's pricey. Several times the people leaving the red building where poker is held would do burn outs and rev vehicles and be loud and this was later (1 am) and it woke us up 2-3 times. I truly feel like the owners are nice people but they are mismanaging the property. The lack of care from them showed. The upside is the spots are semi big but we moved down the road to a cheaper and quieter park that is now open year round. You can hear a lot of Jake breaking from the highway but it's not horrible. Best places will be the line that backs up to the highway as that's a little nicer area. I did have dogs and did not pick up all my dogs waste so that's on me but I told them before we left.

They have long term tenants with a less than Disney world park vibe you might get at an 'RV resort.' This is not that and frankly, it's outside of Altoona, PA let's be real with our expectations. The five stars is for the hard working shop staff, the lovely Louise and the fact that this park did everything we were needing and looking for. The water quality (chlorinated) and pressure with a water pressure regulator was satisfactory. After multiple trips of back and forth with the 44' rig due to other weekend excursions; we were able to pull in and out with ease during our 1-month long stay. We paid a $100 deposit for the electric and $550 for the month. The site was a mix of gravel and grass. It wasn't the Ritz, we didn't expect the Ritz and it served us well. They have someone that mows the lawn a few times a week. We took advantage of the freshly mowed open space to play ball and frisbee with the dog. People are friendly if spoken to, a neighborly wave if you are so inclined, but otherwise keep to themselves. When we arrived, the fifth wheel wasn't leveling well so the staff kindly helped us move to another site. I had the guys at the shop replace a two slide out motors and reattach fascia that had become loose. $100/ hour minimum service fee is standard here even if the guys crank it out more quickly. We used the laundry facility and the equipment worked fine at cleaning and drying the clothes (2 large loads at less than $10 to do). We received a few packages from Amazon - they have space for mail with your lot number on it - no issues. The office appeared to be open 9-4 Monday-Saturday. There seems to be quite the crowd for the gambling/ bar business they have going on... which is not our thing so we didn't go over there to investigate. That part of the business also seems contained to just that big red building.
