Purchased a brand new motorcycle two weeks ago from Shane. I received a call 1-2 days before I was planning to drive 11 hours round trip to purchase the bike and he advised they 'discovered' damage to the stock silencer/silencer shield that must've resulted from a test ride. He assured me there was no other damage on the bike and since I had planned to eventually replace the OEM muffler and had already made arrangements with my credit union to purchase from Ebensburg, I advised I would proceed with the purchase. Prior to my trip, I was never informed that the dealership was not permitting customers inside the store. I had talked with half a dozen PA dealers who advised that customers were permitted by appointment only. Upon arrival, I was advised no one was permitted in the dealership. The bike was brought out in 35* weather while pouring rain which made it all but impossible to do a thorough examination. Once I arrived home I immediately discovered damage to the swing arm and contacted Shane. Shane initially replied with an apology and asked what I would like him to do for me. I've never dealt with purchasing a new bike with damage and as the motorcycle sales professional, I expected Shane to take the initiative to determine a reasonable and swift resolution. Since I had already paid for the bike and brought it home, I told him I was under the impression it was too late to receive money back from the purchase price and requested compensation for a future purchase of accessories (I asked for $300, the cost for me to replace the damaged parts exceeds $3k). After multiple unanswered emails and a phone call, I finally got ahold of him and he advised it was on back order and offered to send me a check. That was our final conversation. I since received a request from Yamaha regarding my experience which I filled out honestly. Upon reading the review - a review that was not made public but kept between Yamaha, Shane and myself - Shane informed me he was no longer sending me the check because I seemed unhappy with the resolution and that if he could go back and not sell me the bike, he would. That's the customer service and appreciation I received after spending $12k on a new motorcycle. If you want a competitive price and couldn't care less about customer service, this is your place...just cross your fingers you don't have any issues or you're on your own. ...and if you need parts, steer clear unless you prefer dealing with an arrogant and condescending parts "manager." read more

My son bought a quad from them a year ago. When he called for quote was told they could drop 250.00. When he got there person he talked to day before not there not a problem he wanted quad paid full.price. The speedometer was broken the girl Liz calls Shane he stated worked when it came in but they would replace it but it had to be ordered. She wrote replace speedometer on her copy. He call after a month or so was told by Shane it wasn't in yet he'd call me when it came in. Called about 2 months later told by Shane again don't call me again I said I'd call you he hung up on him ! Called again at 6 month mark was told Shane not in leave a message he'd call him back! Now after a year suddenly there is no part and paper with note for speedometer is gone and was told it was bought as is nothing he will do and girl who sold it to him is gone!! He wouldn't have bought the quad without working speedometer without promise of replacement! He finally ordered his own at the cost of about $350. So by my estimation he's out $600 between the lie of lower price and the lie of fixing speedometer! This is not good customer service and I would not recommend doing business with them! read more

Ebensburg Yamaha provided the perfect customer experience. I recently purchased an 2015 FZ-09 from them and not only did I get the best deal I could find anywhere in the U.S., but from start to finish Seane was helpful and knowledgable and really made it all happen. Even when I got there in my rented haul one of their staff loaded it in the back of the cargo van and showed me how to secure it properly. I highly recommend these guys, they really know their stuff. The owner of the store even personally inquired as to how the experience was. A+, I will definitely make the drive from NY again when we get an ATV! read more
