I have had laser…read moretreatments on multiple occasions at this spa, including at other providers such as SEV and I have never experienced bleeding during or after a session until this visit. During this visit, Mara dry shaved my legs (they had already been shaved prior to this appointment). She dry shaved my legs really rough and not carefully, I noticed several areas that were bleeding and later developed marks that look very similar to razor cuts. This was my first appointment where I was dry shaved by the nurse literally seconds before the laser was done. When I brought this up during the appointment, my concerns were repeatedly attributed to my skin, stating that "that's just how your skin is" despite the fact that I have undergone many laser treatments without ever having this issue. I also want to add their patient portal is inaccurate. My appointment says my provider was Noelle, even after the appointment it's not documented / updated correctly who my provider was. Based on my experience, the marks appear more consistent with shaving-related cuts than a typical laser reaction. While I understand that different reactions can happen, I expected my concerns to be taken seriously and addressed professionally.

I paid $1000 for Dysport with one very clear request: I wanted a fully frozen forehead, the same result I have consistently achieved here in the past. At two weeks (the full window for Dysport to set in), I still had significant movement and visible lines. For anyone familiar with injectables, this outcome is far below what's reasonable at this price point, especially when the goal was explicitly communicated in advance. When I reached out to the clinic about the poor result, I expected professionalism, accountability, and a willingness to make it right. Instead, I was told that if I wanted the issue corrected, I would have to pay for more units. That is simply not industry standard. Reputable injectors stand behind their work and typically offer a complimentary touch-up if results fall short of what was promised. Whether this was poor injecting or a bad vial should not then be the patients problem to pay. What made this worse is that I know that if the vial is reported to the manufacturer, the company would happily provide them with a complimentary replacement vial. In other words, the clinic had the ability to resolve this at no cost to themselves. Rather than taking that step, they placed the burden back on me after I had already spent $1000. It's deeply disappointing to see a practice prioritize profit over integrity and client satisfaction. I left feeling dismissed and taken advantage of. For something as personal and expensive as facial injectables, trust and accountability are everything. Your face and your money deserve better than this.

It's incredibly frustrating because I have to plan my schedule ahead of time and block off work just to make these appointments. When they cancel last minute, it throws everything off. Another thing to be aware of is that there are no refunds once you purchase a package. Even if the constant rescheduling becomes a major inconvenience, you're essentially stuck and have to work around their availability. For the amount of money you're spending, I'd recommend looking into Sev Laser instead. Their pricing is much more affordable, booking is far more flexible, and you can often get same-day appointments. They also offer pay-per-session options that are about 30-40% cheaper than LaserAway. Do your research before committing to a package here.

I have had the privilege of visiting Pam for both laser hair removal and a facial treatment. On both occasions I could not have been more satisfied with the excellent, amazingly professional, outstanding service that I received. Being a relatively burly man, I have often been overwhelmed with the obscene amount of lower back hair and shoulder hair that I have been gifted with as a result of an overly hairy gene pool. Initially I was leery at the thought of laser hair removal - I had been fairly misinformed and was not aware of how easy and (relatively) painless laser hair removal is. Pam was incredibly reassuring and professional from the get-go, carefully explaining the whole process and what I could expect from the treatment. The hair removal itself was done quickly and efficiently and I was shocked at how Pam was able to laser away such bushy areas as the back of my neck and my lower back with relative ease and little to no pain at all. Overall I was satisfied and pleasantly surprised at the excellent service I received from Pam. She was able to qualm all of my anxieties and did excellent work. I recently had the Active FX and Deep FX fractional laser treatments by Dr. Corey Maas at the Appearance Care Center at The Maas Clinic. I LOVE the result! I was thinking of having Fraxel but I was hearing mixed reviews from friends. I didn't want to spend money and not be satisfied. The best part is that you only need to do this procedure once to get fantastic results. I had my face and neck done. Dr. Maas did a combination of Active FX and Deep FX and my friends say my eyes and overall skin looks healther and younger. The results are supposed to improve even over the next few months so I can't wait to see my overall appearance. There are a lot of laser choices out there these days but so far this new fractional laser seems to be the best. You only need 4 days to re-coop. It's not painful, just a little swelling and redness. I still went shopping and out to dinner. My eyes had the most dramatic result- younger (a nice lift and fewer crow's feet!). I highly recommend Active/Deep FX and TRUST the medical team @ The Appearance Care Center at The Maas Clinic because Dr. Maas oversees all procedures. read more

I've always had very fair skin that sunburns easily and lots of freckles all over my face. Recently, my wife recommended that I try a laser treatment to lighten my freckles, so I decided to schedule an appointment at the Appearance Care Center. I received an IPL treatment from Pam several weeks ago and I've been thrilled with the results. Though the treatment itself was slightly uncomfortable, Pam did a great job of explaining the procedure and was quick and efficient with the laser. It was clear that she was an experienced professional who knew what she was doing. I was in and out the door in less than an hour. Since my treatment, the freckles on my forehead and around my nose have become significantly lighter and several friends and co-workers have commented that my skin looks great. With all of the events and photographs around the holiday season, I've felt more confident knowing that my skin looks better than it has in years. When I called to make an appointment, I didn't know the difference between treatment options. Isabelle helped me choose the best option for my needs and budget. When I arrived I was offered help with parking, given a comfortable private place to out paperwork and hot tea. Pam Clayborn performed my treatment, IPL. But I received way more than I expected! She identified my skin condition, educated me about it and identified the best and worst treatments. The information helped me avoid harsher options that would worsen the quality of my skin and provided a reasonable course of treatment ( including cost effective home treatments) that will help me for years to come. When I called in to express my concern, they tried to take the opportunity to pitch a product that removes scars for me to purchase which left a bad taste in my mouth. After that experience, I decided to find another med spa.

Linda Behla RN (owner) is named/accused in litigation-court-dox, for causing a patient facial deformity w fillers 2. In CALIF, A Med Spa, is required to have a legit DR as MEDICAL DIRECTOR - A Dr engaged & available . 3. Dr. Hvistendahl is NOT. He is ONLY "named" as MED DIRECTOR, to keep "LIC" but he's offsite & unavailable for MED needs of SpaPATIENTS. 4. Dr. Hvistendahl DOES NOT do any of FOLLOWING: supervise Pt.cases, consult w HV staff, review complex med. cases, onsite upon 911, NOR is he LEGIT as their "onsite Dr" - NO!! VITAL NOTE-1: Dr Hvistendal ACTUALLY stepped in ONLY due to URGENCY when LINDA BEHLA needed FAST REPLACEMENT for her original partner /original Dr, who RN/BEHLA had 1st started her Spa with. NOTE-2: LINDA BEHLA had started HayesValleyMedSpa w a PRIOR DR who "acted" as PRIOR MEDICAL DIRECTOR- BUT that prior DR-& her 1st partner LOST HIS MD LICENSE. It's all public in court filings; & frankly, in same filings, (LINDA at court w him) you can read a complaint re: "RN" (LB) from her patient explaining -'RN permanently deformed face w fillers..' & how there was 'NO help available from 1st Med Dir.' if Linda's to keep MedSpa she urgently had to hire DR as "MED DIR" per CA LAW Bottom Line : @HVSpa, DR. NEVER has acted as legit Med Director. In fact, @HVMSpa- "Med Dir. help" is just not real, & not avail for patients. "Med Director " is their fake placeholder to hold CA LIC. . In CA. tho, these violations are illegal. A MED SPA is required to have a legitimate DR acting on behalf of patient's safety. The DR must be fully accessible & aware of patient cases, files, complexities, staff, training, equipment safety, issues, & certainly a DR who will be ONSITE ASAP wEMERGENCY A Med Director should never prescribe ANY NARCOTICS for 3rd degree burns, or any severe & excruciating injury, without meeting the Pt., examining Pt, speaking to the Pt & understanding all details of Pt. Injury, experience & pain! To fill a strong narcotic for 30 days while refusing to even talk by phone- is bad enough-but to know BURNS are so bad, Pt requires an additional 30d of narcotics (60d) & STILL refuse to examine BURNS or meet Pt, that's clearly 100 % ILLEGAL. If CALIF knew HayesValleyMed Spa fraudulently told patients "Dr Hvistendahl is the Medical Director," - if CALIF understood that patients thought a DR is available - that Spa would be shut down. Yes- in CA its illegal NOT to have a MED DIRECTOR... but it's just as ILLEGAL in CA for a Spa (HVMed Spa) to have Medical Director who is practicing fraudulently. If the accountable DR, through deception, & fraud, is KNOWINGLY causing patient HARM, that's illegal. *knowing infliction As HVISTENDAHL's patient, I had URGENT MEDICAL NEEDs..the MED DIR, that Dr, Dr Hvistendahl, hid! Simultaneously- via Linda, he prescribed - super strong narcotics & the DR continued Rx for months! & They refused to compensate me in any way - CAN YOU IMAGINE? Going for COOL SCUPLT ELITE & ending up in bandages every single day for over a year, disabled under TOP BURN CARE DR in NATION.. & no offer to compensate. They're all so gross.
