On a recent trip from my home in Montgomery to the Hill Country, I experienced an unexpected detour that I now know was nothing short of God's protection. Warning lights came on in my SUV, and I felt a strong pull to turn around and head back 15 miles to Brenham. That decision, though inconvenient at the time, turned out to be a divine appointment. I was traveling alone with my six-year-old son, a fully loaded SUV, and two dogs--one of them just an eight-week-old puppy. My husband called ahead to Appel Ford and spoke with Mary, who told him to send me their way--that they would take care of me. What a profound understatement that turned out to be. Mary and the entire Appel Ford team went above and beyond anything I could have asked for. What could have been a stressful, overwhelming, and potentially dangerous situation was handled with such grace, kindness, and excellence. They were busy--no doubt about it--but they made room to inspect my vehicle quickly so I could get into a rental. Mary also reminded me that I had a Premium Care Package I had completely forgotten about, which helped tremendously with the rental process. What touched me the most was the way they cared for my whole family. The manager noticed I was lowering the windows for my dogs and invited me to bring them inside where it was cool, simply asking me to clean up if needed. The staff kindly helped with my son--offering him water, cleaning up when he spilled, showing him the restroom, and even watching him while I moved our things. They greeted and played with my dogs. Their kindness wasn't just professional--it was genuine. But Appel Ford wasn't done. The very next day, after repairing the sensor issue, they called my husband to report that they had heard a concerning roaring noise during the test drive. Upon further inspection, they discovered that the front driver's side wheel was so loose that it literally came off when they removed the hubcap. Their attention to detail and their refusal to dismiss what could have seemed like a minor issue quite literally saved our lives. When I returned to pick up my vehicle, they once again went the extra mile, processing everything quickly and offering to help me transfer all my things back from the rental. It would have been easy for anyone at that shop to say, "We're too busy." It would have been easy to overlook the sound, to do just the minimum. But they didn't. Because of their diligence and compassion, I am here today with my son and my dogs--safely back home with my family. Words cannot express my gratitude. I will be a customer for life. I've already told everyone I know and will continue to tell them--it is worth the drive to Brenham for service like this. I am reminded of Psalm 91:11-12: "For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone." Rated a fair, as the owner of the dealership happened to be out front when I pulled in and introduced himself and took me to the salesman. Otherwise 1* I had emailed the salesman and told him a used and new Santa Cruz was my interest and made an appointment for this morning. The salesman obviously had not read my email(s) or prepared for my visit. On the new one, I had voiced my concern with the interior prior to visiting and the did send me a video and pics. Upon seeing the interior, decided not for me. On the used one, asked where it was located, he said he would go check. Car was sold. Made excuse later that it sold last night and they are a big dealership (laughable, town has maybe 20,000 people).......and you did not check when you knew I was driving an hour!! Had a recall on my vehicle. The schedule was set today for them to come to the house to take care of the recall. I received a call from the service folks that the repair van was having issues and would not make it today. I was not happy and let them know that. About 5 minutes later I got a call from service department and said they would come pick up the vehicle and take it to the shop, repair the issue and return it. I agreed. It was a total of about a hour, all of this was done and the vehicle was sitting in my driveway. I was completely satisfied on the way they handled this. Based on the way they handled this, I will continue to be a customer. Job well done!! read more

We needed to charge our Ford Lightning after we went to the antique fair in Round Top. We were unable to do so. When we called the help line listed on the supercharger we were advised that though the charger was a 24 hour charger on our charging app, and that "the dealer must turn it off at night". Most hotels were full so we had to pay for a $289 hotel. The next morning we were able to use the same charger to allow us to make it home. Ford in general really needs to get the info on their system regarding the available chargers accurate so that we don't keep getting stranded. We know a Tesla charger adapter is in the works and it is badly needed. We are on "the list". EVs are great if you can charge them when traveling out of town. Please Ford and dealers: think about your customers. read more

We were satisfied with the service experience when we took in our pickup, so we also dropped off our Mustang. It's an older model and there were two items that we wanted addressed. Two items. We were sent a laundry list of unnecessary (and in a couple of line items, unidentified) tasks that they suggested be performed. One of the items that we wanted done wasn't even on the list! What part of "This is what we want done" don't you understand? If we wanted to spend thousands on dollars on a car that we drive twice a quarter we would have said so. There are TWO things that we want done. TWO. We are so dissatisfied with this experience that we are taking back the car, nothing performed, and going elsewhere. read more

Can't leave 0 stars and 1 is being way too nice for this place! Needed a simple alignment, had an appointment @ 7am dropped it off only to find out by 3pm that they had never touched the truck. When I called, a service writer said the tech was working on it currently. So I made a 10 minute ride to see for myself. Just to show up and be given the excuse that the same truck had been on the techs lift all morning. Yet I never received an call to update me on the situation etc. a simple alignment was all that was needed. They also do this all the time with a simple oil change. This place offers terrible vehicle service. The writers are polite but that doesn't make up for the poor vehicle service. I couldn't imagine how they treat customers that spend thousands on a vehicle there just to bring it back for maintenance care and never get it done. read more

I was travelling from out of state and needed a Ford service center to do some routine service on my motorhome. I made the appointment several weeks in advance and told the service adviser the length and height of the motorhome. I was assured they could do the work. on 10/30/19 I arrived promptly at 8:00 AM and dropped of the unit, by 2:00 PM it was still in the parking lot. At 2:30 they were attempting to drive the unit in and by 3:00 I was advised they can't do it . I spoke to the Service Manager and he really didn't seem concerned . So an entire day wasted because they didn't know how big the bay door was. Epic failure Appel Ford!! read more

Took my mustang there to they can get the overdrive light to go away on my whip it kept flashing and they told me it wasn't my transmission sense I had just got it rebuilt and they said it's the pcm and they needed to rewire my car and I was patent and waiting and waited it took them 8 months to get my car back to me and not only did they wipe my tune and make my car say I'm going 80 but really I'm doing 60 and it made my car drive horrible but the overdrive light never went away so I spent $1500 for the problem to still be there and make my car drive messed up then I take it back to let them know and to fix it they have my car for two months then say out of no where that my engine fan melted and I need a new engine wiring harness and they had to check the inside of my engine and all this bull that wasn't even true they try to charge me $3500 for all that I had to end up getting it towed to my house and I had to pay for it even though they cause the problems and ever sense they rewired my car the radio always turns off and my ac sometimes doesn't work and it worked fine before they looked at my car they are the worst mechanics ever read more

I went in with my car because i noticed my mirror would not fully stick on to my passenger mirror. I knew nothing was really broken and that it was the adhesive, so i went to the nice lady and she helped me with everything. It was all good and they told me to come back an hour later and they would have it done. I then came back and nothing had changed and the lady told me it wasn't covered by warranty and that i should either have them put new glue on it for 125$ plus tax or get a new mirror for 625$ which is crazy. I then went home with my mirror still broken and bought a certified glue on amazon for 5$ that was meant for this and it has worked perfectly. The point of this is that you should never trust dealerships and that they will take the most money when u could do it way easier by yourself for way cheaper too. read more

There's no way I can leave 0 stars so imma just gonna leave one. Took my Ford Fusion in on a Thursday for a simple little realignment. Friday comes and I need a whole new hub rod and they have to order it. I was told it would be on my car that following Tuesday. Tuesday comes and it's not on yet. On top of that, the part is only around $300 on any website. Why am I being charged $700 for it? What makes up the other 400 bucks? That following Friday they tell me it's on just to also say that they now need to order some struts. Why did it take a whole week for them to realize that I also needed struts? They're gonna be in for a rude awakening when I walk in today surprisingly and ask to see the difference in parts and invoices. So If you need your car back within a week, DO NOT TAKE IT TO APPLE. We bought a Brand New Ford Edge from this local dealer Five (5) months ago.During the sale they were great, considering we paid $9000 down. Within the first week of having it we had a few days of rain and the tail light was full of moisture so we took it back and they agreed to fix it. In the process of them fixing it they took out both lights and broke the other one and didn't say anything about the incident. They gave the car back to my wife and she noticed it after she was home. When we called to tell them about it they didn't apologize they just said they would order it and call when it was in. When it came in they put it on right and we had to take it back again. Shortly after, we started having electrical and engine problems, all which were factory defects. After leaving my wife and kids stranded after the engine stopped on them (in the middle of the day in 100 degree heat), this is when it all went down hill. They kept the car for nearly three (3) weeks and then removed the broken part from another new vehicle off the lot to fix our engine issue but not the electrical problems; after me sitting at the dealership for 6 hours requesting an adequate vehicle for my wife to drive while they fix hers. When they finally fix the car it was closing time and upon leaving I noticed the windows were covered in paint. I went back in and notified the service Service Manager who ask if I could bring it back the next day. I did as he asked, and they kept the car another full day only to return it washed, and all the paint still covering the car. This time I spoke with the General Manager and informed the issues, He made me some promises to fix the issue,and those were promises that were not kept. Today, my wife picked her car up from the service department for the fourth time and the issues as of 7/30/16 THE ISSUES HAVE STILL NOT BEEN FIXED. UPON THEM FINDING OUT I WAS WORKING 3 HOURS AWAY, THEY ASK MY WIFE TO COME PICK UP THE CAR AND WHEN SHE SHOWED UP THREE (3) MEN WATCHED MY WIFE CHANGE OUR 2YR OLD SONS CAR SEAT FROM THE LOANER CAR TO HERS WITH 2 KIDS IN THE TEXAS HEAT.
