Let me start by putting my bias out front: I hate the dealership experience. I hate the upselling when you get in front of the finance manager and the strategic//infuriating waiting they make you do when they have "ask their manager" anything. I hate this so much that I've bought my last two cars from Carvana simply because I wouldn't have to speak to anyone. I find the stereotypical car-buying experience (new and, especially, used) to be unnecessarily stressful and taxing. Today, this has changed. When I found a slightly better deal locally than I did on Carvana, I took the plunge. From the beginning, Angela was super helpful and responsive. She didn't insist on talking on the phone and was happy to text details, which is infinitely more manageable during the workweek. When it came time to make the trek to Austin e Autos, Angela let me know that she would be off that day and handed off the deal to Isaac. Isaac is the best. Isaac put us through the paces of letting us test drive, then talking numbers. At no point did the numbers they advertised ever change. I came in with pre-approval through USAA, and they did not push me toward in-house financing. This has never happened to me before. They usually push that really hard. Once the numbers were agreed upon, we were handed over to Stephanie for the paper signing. This was equally painless, and there was no push to buy extended warranties, wheel insurance, GAP, etc, etc, etc. The numbers we discussed with Isaac were the exact numbers we signed off on with Stephanie. This was by far the best car buying experience. It was so easy that they could have set up a kiosk to purchase the vehicle. It felt like the sales rep didn't care if we purchased a car or not. It was actually good for us because we knew what we wanted and didn't have a sales rep keeping us hostage. We were pre-approved before we arrived, which sped up the process. They let us test drive the car without supervision. After we came back from the test drive it took us 50 min to complete the sale. They even put a ribbon on the front of the SUV, which was cute. The only thing that I would recommend is for the sales rep to stick around when we spoke with the bank because we needed her and had to go and get her. read more

I had a trade-in and they immediately got to work valuing that car and the value was ready after we got back from the test drive.
