Words can't express how grateful I am to everyone at Applause Your Paws. They have helped Oliver, my 6 year old half chihuahua half pomeranian, gain confidence around people and other dogs. It took time and patience but Elise, Camille and the AYP team never gave up on him. Oliver only allows 4 people to pick him up....me, my bf, my mom and now Elise! I LOVE getting his "report card" and photos after daycare & training. He has come such a long way and its all thanks to the caring and knowledgeable team at AYP! They also helped us become confident in getting a second dog, Rux our Mini Australian Shepherd. The at home training truly helped us introduce the two dogs in a safe environment. We also loved the Rockstar Puppy Program for Rux. I HIGHLY recommend this series of training classes; it was a great way to train and socialize our pup. I just recieved a dog from this trainor they say well trained family pet give a list of commands they know says good with dogs cats men women . I am disabled and this dog was suppose to be trained and i was sending to learn pubkic acess for service dog. Tge dog she is to small first off she does not work the comands with any distractiins and really only works them maybe 4 in the kitchen , she jumps on people and me she drags me she wants to kill my cat. She gets on my kitchen table she counter surfs there us no way thus dog can go on to public acess with tge training provided .she also is not fully house broken . Ive spent 1000 on the dog buying her and bringing and supplies they know and do not want to refund the money i spent they say will take the dog back and give you 250 dollars . Well that is not the thing that is going to happen they also say my son with autism , what did he do to her when i said she jumos at him mouthy nipping him..they take no responsibility i said she needs to be finished and brought up to the way they said she would be trained and pay a trainor here its only fair to the dog and myself . They her person was rude and they are taking no responsibility except send her back. She isnt the first rough dog sent out . So would i use her training ? No way would i believe her site about how much training ? Not now .my rieview of her training is tge dog they sent me sitiing on my kitchen table were i found her. I have plenty of videis and pictures of this suppoly trained dog il be glad to share .not 1 star read more

I've attended about 3 Level 1 Obedience classes and have been very excited with the instructors. However, I was very dissapointed at the way I was treated here 2 weeks ago. I had a Saturday 1:15pm Level 1 Obedience class and had a personal emergency and couldn't attend. I started calling at 10am. No answer. I made 7 calls and left a voicemail. I even sent an email. To this day, I have never received a call back. The following week at class, I complained to the front desk girl and inquired if they had received any of my attempts at communication, I was told that there was a 24hr cancellation, so my class wouldn't have been re-scheduled for me anyways. That was it. There was no acknowledgement of my email, voicemails or 7 calls. No type of apology or attempt at accomodating my missed class. I would have even paid extra. I am big on customer service, and I dont think this was a fair way to treat a new customer or somebody who actually tried to cancel. Needless to say, I will be taking my business somewhere else after my classes end. Extremely dissappointed. read more

After hearing from a few trusted dog lovers how great Applause Your Paws was, I decided to bring in the 1 year old male lab I had just begun fostering through Labrador Retriever Rescue of Florida. As typical for many rescues, my lab Maverick possessed a super dominant personality and lacked any social skills. Without hesitation, Dee and the AYP team, optimistically took on the challenge of socializing him. From initially reacting to almost every male dog he came into contact with, to now being able to work out differences despite his alpha attitude, Maverick is surely becoming a more polite and playful pup around new dogs everyday! I can't thank her team enough, especially Maverick's trainer Jonathan, who was able to give him the social skills and exposure to other dogs he needed. Maverick's dog aggression was my only hesitation in adopting him these last few months and I can confidently say, those concerns have been laid to rest. Just this past weekend I officially adopted Maverick as my own and this choice would not have been possible without the great training at Applause Your Paws. read more

Highly recommend! My previous dogs (golden retrievers) were trained with choke chains and it was not necessarily a pleasant experience. Dee trains with positive reinforcement and gets the results without the force. It is a beautiful thing to watch, and it is obvious my new labradoodle puppy truly loved his lessons. read more

The absolute best! I have used them to board and train my new puppy along with day camps and puppy kindergarten classes. I knew they would be great because they helped me with a foster dog with serious behavior issues 6 years ago. Now my puppy (a french bulldog) loves coming to training day camp and to classes. We have really seen her behavior improve as well. I cannot recommend this place enough. I just wish it was closer to brickell where I live! read more

Signed up for a 5 lesson course as soon as we received our 2 month old puppy. Although I have had dogs in the past it had been awhile and I wanted to get our puppy off to the right start especially since we have children. Dee was absolutely wonderful! She worked with all of us (including our 5 year old son) and our puppy at 6 months now is a joy, very well behaved, and still loves to learn. If you are thinking of getting a puppy I would highly recommend Dee as she is extremely patient, gives great training tips, and teaches you how to teach your dog. I can't think of any better way to get your dog off to a such a great start and I am extremely happy we had Dee working with us. read more

I have had the pleasure of knowing Dee for a few years now, as she is a client at the vets office that I work for. Seeing her positive, happy, outgoing personality made it an easy choice for me, when my dogs needed work in off-leash training. In just three sessions, she felt that they really didnt need any more classes and that I could work with them just to get in some practice. This showed her honesty, as she could have told me they needed many more weeks and I would have done it. She was even willing to meet me at a park near my home so they could be trained in real-life situations around other dogs and people. This park, while covenient for me,was quite a drive for her, but she was willing to do it. Her knowledge in the behaviorist field was very helpful as well. Dee was always quick with praise, not just for my dogs, but for me as well, as I am quick to get frustraetd with them sometimes. She always had words of encouragement for me, even when I thought I wasnt managing them very well. She has even offered to go with me as their handler when they get jobs. ( They both have an agent). Dee is not only a very accomplished trainer, but I feel she has become a friend as well. :) She obviously has a genuine love for animals... she works with rescue dogs and even trains dogs for service work for people with handicaps or disabilities. Not jsut any old trainer has the qualifications to accomplish this. So in case you havent already gathered, I highly recommend Dee and her training services! read more

Rip Off. Put my dog in one day summer camp. They asked what 3 things I wanted the dog to be taught. All they did is keep him in a crate all day, didn't teach him anything. I wouldn't give them one star. I want my $66 dollars back. Boarding is only $28 at my vets and I didn't need that. I wanted him to learn something. DONT BRING YOUR DOG THERE FOR TRAINING UNLESS YOU ARE ABLE TO STAY AND SEE WHAT THEY ARE TRAINING. Otherwise just use them for expensive boarding. read more

We've gone to Applause Your Paws for everything! We started with puppy kindergarten, then came obedience classes, we enjoyed both so much that we signed Brooklyn Poppy up for day camp. Brooklyn loved going to AYP so much that when we turned down the street she started dancing and crying from excitement!! She loved it so much that she didn't even mind getting groomed during the day! When it came time for our first vacation since getting Brooklyn, we knew there was only one place we would even consider to leave her. During her week stay we would get weekday report cards of her training sessions, and pictures posted to the website. It really made me feel better about being away from her. Right after Brooklyn's week stay we moved over an hour away from Applause. We were so sad because she really loved going to day camp! About two months after moving we had to go out of town, so we drove the over hour trip to drop Brooklyn off and pick her up so she could stay at her favorite place. I can't say enough good things about AYP! I don't think we will ever find a place where during day camp she can get trained, groomed and professional pictures taken all in one day! read more

I love my dog more than anything in the world, she is my baby and we've been through so much. We do everything together so I needed her to behave in different settings, she was growling, barking, a little hyper, pulling and she had separation anxiety, she used to followed me EVERYWHERE and got really anxious if I left even for a few minutes. I needed help! my boyfriend came across AYP and we decided to give it a try, we started going to group classes and we had the most amazing experience, we did level 1, 2 and the outdoor adventure with Felisha and then level 3 with Brian, Elise and Dee and they have been AMAZING! I've learned so much from you guys! you've taught me how to better communicate with my Clara and I really dont have enough words to say how thankful I am. Clara has also stayed at daycare, I could see how happy she was when I picked her up, I received her report card, which was great because that way I knew what I needed to do at home. Also, I took a private lesson with Brian, he was so incredible! he addressed all of the things that worried me, and taught me exactly what I needed to do. I also take Clara to AYP to clip her nails, I dont mind driving for 30 minutes because they do it with so much love they even have in her file that she doesnt like her paws being touch, so they give her a lot of treats and love :) All of the staff is very friendly and eager to help, Melissa is so sweet! I called her once because clara had eaten sand so she was very sick she was so understanding and so so sweet, thank you so much. Elise also was amazing, we had 2 classes with her and she was incredible. After meeting you guys I even decided to start a program in dog training at catch academy! I've been taking my dog Hazel, a very energetic pitbull mix to training day camp since the day I adopted her about a year ago. I'm a regular dude who goes to work 9-5, which means that my dog would have to spend all day alone if I didn't have a good daycare option for her. She absolutely loves camp. Not only can she play with dog friends and expend all her energy, but over time I've been able to see the results of the quality training her trainers have put into her. From obedience on leash to off leash, Hazel has become a very well educated dog. I am confident I can take her anywhere with me and she will be social, well behaved and not embarrass me in public! I highly recommend AYP. They have dedicated staff to help customers anytime I call or email about reservations or to update Hazel's training goals, and high quality dog training instructors who are always challenging Hazel to be her best self. I look forward to my interactions with the staff at AYP, and especially look forward to seeing Hazels happy face at the end of each camp day. She means the world to me. i contacted applause your paws on a monday holiday via their online contact form and heard back from dee in a few hours. she was able to come see me that same day. her ability to accommodate and get back to her customers was so impressive. it is VERY rare to find that kind of service here in miami! she showed up on time, gave me great instructions on how to help housebreak my dog and transition from pads to the outdoors. she went over everything, food, toys, treats, and training schedule. dee is a very hard worker and you can really tell she loves what she does. my dogs loved her and so did i. i would recommend her to anyone in need of dog training services. plus her website is so friendly and professional. read more

This place totally exceeded our expectations. We brought our 10 month old dog here for the two week board and train. When they said they would take the job of training out of my hands, they meant it, it's like we have a totally new dog. Camille took our dog as if it were her own and spent lots of time with him every day, where she taught him basic commands and more, took him on field trips and kept me updated at the end of every single day. To say that she was amazing would be an understatement. We were allowed to visit him which we often did. My kids loved to go to the facility after school and we always found our dog to be so happy. He loved playing with all of the dogs. The entire staff could not have been more accommodating and we are thrilled to have our now well behaved dog back. He listens to many things and our entire family loves to have him around. Really impressive program and I highly recommend! read more
