Well, here we go again. Finally reached a customer representative on the phone after scores of…read moreattempts, and learned that Citibank in Thornwood remains closed still, without prior notice or explanation to the depositors. And of course, no notice as to when it will re-open, not even an anticipated re-opening date. Even if my suspicion is true that they may have closed for a Covid cleanup it does not take an entire month to perform the job. Other banks have been hit with Covid issues in their branches, but none have taken months to recover. It's plainly obvious to me that Citibank doesn't give a damn about individual small customers. Weren't not for the fact I intend to sell my business in the next 12 months, I would end all affiliations with Citibank immediately.

Don't go here if you want your banking done fast - Or if you want your banking done, AT ALL. Every…read moretime I go to this bank, there is a new issue with getting money out of my account. Last time, I needed to verify the other name on the account - No big deal, except the process takes about 10 minutes. Ok, fine. The next time I went, I was ready to tell them the other name on the account and perhaps go through the 10 minute process again - No. They needed to take my license to enter it into their system as a means of identification -- Keep in mind, I had the account number. Ok. I give them my license and follow a representative to her desk. That's not enough. They want a debit card from another bank?? I say, "I'm not going to do that, I'm not going to have a debit card with another bank on file with you." Which, essentially meant I was not able to access my own money (it's a savings account, and I do not have a debit card for it). Every time I go here - A new problem. Oh! And if you want a withdrawal slip, you will need to wait on line to get one and then fill it out, because they do not offer them at any of the counters near the entrance. This is the case at every Wells Fargo. And if you want to KEEP your own withdrawal slip after you've filled it out and they will not give you your own money -- They will not let you have it back. Save yourself some trouble, open an account with another bank. Period. I see no sense at all in Wells Fargo having such ridiculous security measures, BUT THEN wanting you to give up a debit card from another bank as proof of your identity. That's just illogical. And not safe FOR ME!! So now, if there's a breach at Wells Fargo, my debit card from another bank is also floating around in that mess? I don't think so. No thanks. Also - Which is it guys? Do you switch up the security measures every time? One time, it's a name verification, another time it's a license and a debit card from a DIFFERENT bank? What's it gonna be next time? A blood test and my ShopRite card? I mean, I even offered them my health insurance card as a back-up identification - No. They would ONLY take the debit card from a different bank. No thanks. Closing the account tomorrow. I shudder to think what that experience will entail ...

She told me a…read morefew weeks ago that she went to this location and people refused to help her and forced her to use the machine after she asked repeatedly to speak with someone instead. It was not crowded and people were available. She told me the customer service was terrible and I should've listened. We went back in and I had my infant with me and told them I wanted to open an account for him. They told me to wait a few minutes, which actually turned into almost an hour. During my wait, a man said to make sure I had the baby's social security number etc, which I made sure I had. Then, after spending an hour waiting on such a nice day, a woman said sorry someone very sick was in here so we had to let the office air out. This made me extremely uncomfortable. Not to mention, she then said I needed other documents that the other person didn't mention, so she couldn't help me. Not that I wanted to sit around in that germ infested office anyway, but come on. After an hour wait? What a waste.
