My wife and I stayed here for one night while we were in the area to catch a Wisconsin Timber Rattlers game. To be fair, we didn't get to experience everything the campground has to offer, but what we did see left us disappointed. Our campsite was on the far side of the creek, and while there were plenty of campers over there, there were no restroom or shower facilities nearby. We try not to use the bathroom in our camper unless we have to, so it was frustrating to have to drive to the main area just to use the restroom. The restroom we found looked like it was added as an afterthought. It was basically just a toilet and a sink with wooden floors--no showers or other amenities. For a campground with that many campsites, we expected much better facilities. The campground may be fine for some people, but based on our experience, we'll probably look for a different place to stay the next time we're in the Appleton area. read more

Staff was so rude and hung up on me after I asked to have a manager or owner call me. BTW....no one ever called me back!!. I even called back to change my site and they would not answer my call. I paid to lock my site and was told our friends would most likely not be moved. "It was highly unlikely due to the size of their rig." They came from MN for a 4 night stay. They moved them to the completely different side of the property. The staff was extremely rude to them as well. They said the sites were also on top of each other. They pulled out and we both went to another campground. You know it's bad when you choose to forget about the $$ you paid and go spend that money (plus hundreds more between both family's) somewhere else. They are kind on the phone, but once you are inside the 10 day cancellation policy....forget it. We will be disputing the charge with the credit card company. This is a very wooded campground so there's plenty of shade. You'll need OFF and beware of ticks! There are no sewer hook ups. There is a twice a week honey wagon service available for those who are staying for a week or more. If you're staying less than a week a $15 service fee is charged and services only available two days a week. The playground needs updating and TLC. The little pond was fun for the kids to fish in for bluegill and small catfish. There's two resident snapping turtles that'll say hi without aggressive behavior. The employees are nice and there is a little cafe to get hot food. One needs to pay 25 cents per each 3 minutes of shower time. The shower facilities were clean but do need updating. The pool was closed at 6pm each night. Kids were so disappointed. We were there in June 2023 when the MANY cottonwoods were pollinating and I was miserable allergy wise. It looked like it snowed and stuck onto our shoes badly. Overall, the next time we are in WI we will look for a different park. read more

If I could give this 1,000 stars, I would. Campground is well run, and very clean. The staff is helpful, the pool is great, there is a catch and release pond, and a fun playground for kids to run and play. Nondenominational church service on Saturday evenings, different activities during busy Sunday weekends, and best of all, it is peaceful. If you don't like happy people, you might want to stay elsewhere. We were here for the summer, and will be back next year. We have a new camping family! read more

This was our first time staying at Apple Creek. Reading reviews made me nervous but we booked anyways. We decided on a very private site (301). Most people don't stay where we did. We loved it! When I camp I love being alone, no neighbors. Nothing. The only downfall is we didn't get free coffee when they came through, not the end of the world. Family washroom was clean when I used it. Pool was okay and not too crowded, they have time slots to avoid the crowding. Would return BUT only to site 301. The others are way too close together and noisy like other reviews. read more

We thought the campground was nice. The site we selected was perfect size for us and are small trailer. The bathrooms were clean and the pool lovely. Loved that free coffee was offered in the morning if you wanted to catch the drive by cart. Also appreciated that there was security person at night. We were aware of the road noise from other reviews and we found that we didn't have a problem with it. Price point was on spot for an inexpensive weekend getaway. One thing to note, we saw how tight many of the trailer sights were which might make you feel squeezed in but we found a few sights we would pick if we decided to stay again. Overall the campground served our needs very nicely!! read more

I was hesitant to stay here due to reviews but this place was great. Nice park for kids return catch fishing and a pool. We went during their Halloween weekend and had a blast. Place is clean some camping spots are small some are larger and more private. Overall friendly clean and we will be back. So so much fun. read more

Stayed here May to end of July. It's been a very nice campground. It does fill up quite full starting Friday and most are gone by Sunday afternoon. We stayed in site 78 by the rest of the seasonal sites. Highway traffic can get loud but nothing the AC or TV can't drown out at night. I would not recommend staying on the upper sites due to the close proximity of highway. Pool is nice. Hours are not very convenient during summer peak times. Closes at 6:30pm M-Th and 7:30 F-Sun. There are no sewer hook ups but they pump you out twice a week. As long as they know your camper and remember to empty all it tanks we have not had a problem. Black tank will need a good flush before we leave. Nice people. We have not had any problems or issues with loud noise or partying late into the night. Again we are on seasonal sites. Lots of sites here. Nice playground and catch and release pond for kids. No fishing license required. Free coffee in the morning on weekends. They deliver firewood right to your site on the weekends if you want it. No outside wood allowed due to county restrictions and laws. Can buy a face cord from the company that provides wood here if you are staying long term. Has been a pleasant stay. Reasonable rates. Water pressure is usually pretty good. Water tastes just fine. Lots of shaded site!! Only downside is sometimes when it's hot and the wind is just right you do get strong smell of manure from the huge mega dairy farm to the West. Especially this spring when they were pumping the pit out. I grew up on a farm so it really doesn't bother me. I would recommend it here and I would stay again. I would say 4.5 stars because no sewer hookups. You do have to watch your water usage. Buy or have a small honey wagon if you want to flush your black tank often. One last thing. They do have WiFi. When it's not crowded on the weekends we have no problems. read more

We stayed in a "premium" site up on the hill. So loud and noisy all night/day from the freeway traffic. Would NOT recommend.

Apple Creek has very limited sites for casual, or weekend campers. These 30 sites are tight together and very close to a very busy county road. Very noisy. All the seasonal sites are well back away from the road and quiet, but still very tight! They messed up our reservation, which we made in line. They tried to put our 36 foot travel travel into a spot for a pop up! The only really good part of the campground was the heated pool. The grandkids liked that, but they, too, complained about the crop duster noise and the road noise. We will not be returning. Wood is $6 a bundle for about 5 pieces of wood. Bathrooms were nothing to glorify! And cost$! Dump stations are very primitive with a 3 foot hose, not long enough to really rinse hoses properly. They do not have a dump hose available. Every other campground we have stayed at has had a slinkly hose hanging there ready to use. read more

Just an update. As of today the bathrooms could use a good cleaning. Does anyone own a broom and dustpan? What about CLR to get rid of the rust stains? My next complaint: Website says $25 but got there after hours and notice said $30. That's without electric. When I went to take a shower it was 25 cents for 3 minutes. That was just a FYI. Lots of permanent people live there. Ditto on the very small spaces. Lots of things for kids to do. Would I come back - no way. To many other nice places in Wisconsin. read more

Overall our stay here was fine. The other reviews scared us, but we were desperate for a place to stay a night on our drive through. Yes - there is some weird smell. It went away at night and came back around 7am. Smells like a farm is nearby. You have to pay for the shower. The people here were rude camp neighbors. Kids up and screaming well past 11p and then up again around 6am. people letting their dogs relieve themselves on your campsite and just generally inconsiderate. I would recommend staying as far away from the play area as possible (which also puts you far from the bathrooms) and bring earplugs if you want and quite. But like I said, it was just fine for us. It did the job of a campsite. But I wouldn't come for an extended stay. read more

Campground is not the best but ok if I are picky this is not for u ,very small sites and a little noisy

I was pretty hesitant to stay here from past reviews, but since we got here yesterday, this campground has been wonderful! The showers and restrooms are very clean and well stocked with toilet paper and hand soap. Plus the showers are pay to use, $0.25 for 3 minutes, but they have timers, which are SUPER helpful! The rec hall is clean and has a good assortment of arcade games, however, about half of them are out of order. No big deal. The store is very well stocked with very good prices. The actual camp sites are smaller than they appear on the map with not a ton of privacy, but they all have electric and water, so that's a total plus! The only real downside, which is no fault to the campground, we were in site #7 near the main road and listened to road construction and constant beeping from the backing of trucks all day and into most of the night. Again, no fault to the campground, but that would be the only thing I would change. Also, when you book online, they send you the info for the app, which lets you order, pay and deliver firewood and a small assortment of items from the store! Totally awesome! read more

Yes, the campsites are close to each other, but it's no different that living in the city. The staff was so friendly and welcomed my family with smiles. The pool was always at a great temperature and clean. We didn't use much for the restrooms since our camper had one. But I always thought they were clean. The game room was fun for my kids. They also loved climbing the big tractor tires. This is the second time I've stayed there. I never had issues with noise but I also run a loud fan in my camper at night so I don't hear much outside noise. I will go back again and it's so close to GB and Appleton. Win..win read more

It's that person's way or the highway. The actual owner is an awesome guy. He put his heart and soul in it for 35 years and now it's getting run into the ground. He has no say so in it at this time. It's a shame that this is the closest campground to Green Bay!!! Nasty. Mud everywhere! No sewer so the honey wagon comes by two days a week PERIOD!! The operator was sooo rude!!!! The full time campers are trashy with crap ALL over their sites!!! The shower house was full of spider webs, dead bugs etc! Had to keep my eyes open while I showered because of the many spiders crawling around! Gag! Piss poor park! read more

This is a dream come true!! Nice wooded environment, stream running through property, spacious campsite with no one nearby. Beautiful paved campsite with fire rings and chairs. Truly a sight to behold. NOT!!!!!! This place sucks big time. We are actually between the dumpster and the garage in the middle of the driveway. This is their idea of a pull through. Our neighbors are within breathing distance, we can reach out and touch them and the traffic outside isvery relaxing. We have to be careful exiting because we could be hit by oncoming traffic. We cannot put the awning out because there is no place to put it. We can smell the dumpster. I guess the advantage though is that we don't have to walk to dump. read more

The gravel road throughout the campground had a lot of pot holes and in need of some upkeep. I noticed a lot of permanent campers and caters more for the RV and pop up campers types. We asked for a tent site and were assigned an RV site so there was very little grass and we had to set up our tents on rocky uneven muddy ground. The fishing pond was had a lot of trash. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the convenience store had a lot of reasonably priced food items. Like I said, the site is geared for the RVs or camper trailers. As a car tent camper I probably wouldn't go back unless I bought an RV in the near future. read more

We were misinformed about the cost. We were quoted for the entire weekend of $73/night. We stayed over a Packer weekend. There was not a game day price posted on their website, nor were we provided information on check it that it would be a different price on game day. We were then charged almost double for Sun night!! When we tried to explore this further, all of a sudden, the website is down & they are not providing any refund. Very bad experience, would not recommend. read more

While the campground was nice, the Manager was NOT. I liked the pool, the fishing pond, the game-room and lots of children's activities. I loved how clean the bathrooms are and how ample the space in the showers! I really enjoyed MOST of the staff and campers. I did NOT like the way I was treated by the Manager. She was snotty, condescending, and rude. PLEASE keep in mind, the campsite was a top 10 for us. This is a negative review on the Manager, not the camp ground which almost ANYONE would enjoy! read more

We camped for three days over the 4th of July holiday. The positive first, the pool is beautiful and heated to a nice 82 degrees, the laundry is clean and has ample machines as well as being inexpensive to use. The things that let me down were the fact that the pool closed at 8 pm even on a holiday week, the store closed as well. The noise from the road was terrible, the tent area was the closest to the road and there was no vehicle access to the camp site other than by foot. The lawn for the tent area was way to long and needed to be mowed badly. The bathrooms were only cleaned once a day, with a full holiday week the bathrooms needed sprucing up more then once a day. The owners seemed more concerned with making sure they cited guests for payment (visitors were required to pay even for the day), then cleaning the grounds and bathrooms. Sad and disappointing. I would not recommend this campground for any one. For the price I feel that it should have been of a higher quality. read more
