It was hot and very tasty. The owner wasn't there, but Megan did a great job of filling in. Everything about the room was perfect. The closet had a fridge and Kuerig with not just coffee! (Thank you as I love hot cocoa), the king bed was comfy and luxurious. It had a cute reading nook but the bathroom was spectacular. If I ever build a house this would be what I would add. The suite was well stocked with bubble bath, candles, nice towels and the comfiest robes. Bonus for Halloween candy! I would recommend this to anyone. We can't wait to come back.

To say we…read morewere pleased is an understatement--this was by far the best stay I've ever had in any hotel/inn, anywhere. We stayed in the Hunt Suite, which was beautifully appointed. We had all of the comforts of home: a fireplace, a fridge, a gigantic bed, a large en-suite bathroom, and a huge jacuzzi bathtub (big enough for the two of us to enjoy together!). Breakfast was served at our requested time and we enjoyed it both in our room an in the dining room with other guests, depending on the day. De Ann is an absolutely fantastic cook; her breakfasts aren't to be missed. While we didn't spend much time in it, there is a lovely back garden with a screened in gazebo, a bubbling fountain, and yard games for your enjoyment. The Roost is conveniently located close to Neenah, downtown Appleton, and about 30 minutes south of Green Bay. There's even a lovely house dog, Zada, who was very excited to greet us and give us all the kisses we could ask for. We will most certainly be back and are recommending Roost Bed & Breakfast to every single person we've met, both in Wisconsin and elsewhere. If you're thinking about visiting, please do--it is absolutely incredible and a 5 star experience!

It is within walking distance of restaurants and the PAC. Carol and Gordie were great hosts and made us feel very welcome. We stayed in the blue room and found the bed very comfortable. It's common to see large nicks and scuffs on the walls and furniture in the room. The former breakfast buffet offering is long gone - now replaced with a much pricier a la carte option. The hotel shuttle to/from the airport is no longer an amenity. The large gym is a highlight as it's often empty so you get it all to yourself. Equipment is rather old but operational and good enough. The real value is having Parker John's bbq right next door because their food is A+. So while the Cambria has become a bit lackluster and dated, at least you can enjoy a really good meal close by.

Some had just reported a month before they had bedbug issues. When I looked behind the bed and under the mattress pad, what I found was disgusting. Lots of parking. In the morning, there's an included breakfast bar that is billed as "delicious" on the hotel sign. Well - not really. The morning I had it, I went for scrambled eggs and sausage - the eggs were tasteless, while the sausage was beyond salty. The coffee was okay, but that's as far as it goes. Fortunately, there's a Starbucks and a Perkins about five minutes in either direction. We stayed on a ground floor room, which was nicely kept and reasonably up to date, if somewhat generic. The biggest gripe we had is that the soundproofing is inadequate - there was a sporting event of some sort in town the first night and we heard every footstep and door slam. Teenagers slam doors a lot. The staff were nice and helped us out with everything we needed.

The shower pressure was outstanding for a hotel, it looked like maybe they had newer shower heads. There is a nice patio on the side of the hotel near the pool; the girls really enjoyed the indoor pool. The location is great; very close to the mall and to Walgreens and Dunkin' Donuts. Fox River Brewery nearby had excellent food and beer.
