We met a wonderful young gentleman who showed me the best iPad for what I needed to do, actually less expensive than the one I thought I needed. I brought my iPhone in here that wasn't working. The guy barely looked at it, told me it was unfixable, and told me I might as well go to my carrier to get a new phone. Come to find out the screen was just broken AFTER I already got the new phone, the old phone was still working fine and just needed a screen. But she had an appointment! Not ready. No apologies .. nothing. Nothing but "We appreciate 'cha" on her way out the door. Exactly what did they "appreciate"? Perhaps someone should ask Tristan, the employee who "appreciates 'cha". Was it that my wife had the dignity to NOT give them "what-for" for blowing her off? Was it because she had the reserve to not chew them out for a lack of apology or even an idea as to when the iPad would be ready? But .. what stuck in her mind when she left was ... I was of course greeted as I walked in and told the at first nice apple associate that I switched from iPhone to Android because my job works better with android but I needed to cancel a subscription and I couldn't remember my password and the Apple music app said to either sign in on an apple device, grab a friend's apple device or go to an Apple store. She then got stand off-ish and said "sorry can't help you you'll just have to call Apple customer support" I did call before and was on hold for 40 minutes then tried again another day and it was an hour so I went to the Apple store as another option. The staff here act as if basic courtesy is beneath them--condescending, dismissive, and completely uninterested in helping customers. I wen to this store to buy a titanium smart watch. knew what I wanted and wasn't going to take long. The greeting employee at the door sent me to a table with all styles of smart watches. At the table there was one customer buying his selections and the employe courteously told me that someone would assist me shortly. As I'm waiting around the table two other customers approached the table. An employee comes over and stars helping one of the gentleman that came after me. I didn't say anything but when they were done he continued with the Second Gentleman that also came after me, and so I said that I was next and the employee totally ignored me. I walked away and left the store. There's no respect for the elderly and waiting customers. My friend went there a couple of days ago and it took her over 2 hours to be able to go home with her smart watch. She had to wait that long because the watch is for her health and security reasons. I made appointments for to have the batteries replaced on our two iPhones with the implication from the website that we'd have it done while we waited. When we arrived, we signed in and were pointed to an area at the back of the store to wait for a technician. Sure, okay. When a technician finally came to see us 25 minutes after our scheduled appointment, he told us that they were real busy and that they couldn't get to it until sometime the next day. When I expressed my anger and dismay (why make an appointment and drive all the way in) if the appointment provides no value. I can't go without our phones for a day! Upon pressing him, he went to the back room and reappeared a short while later and told us that they'd take care of it within about an hour. We came back an hour later and indeed the work was completed as promised. So ... I rate them low for poor customer service but gave them a bit of credit for getting the work done when pressed on the matter. My advice --- make some noise if you are not treated properly. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I bought a brand new iPhone 15 promax. Everything was working perfectly until I went to get my screen replaced. After the repair, Once I got it back, my Apple wallet wouldn't connect anymore with my bank. I called Apple support and I went in person to this store and they told me the problem was my bank, but my bank told me that the actual issue was that they received an error message saying that the device was no longer eligible. They had me waiting hours on and on the phone a couple of times. I spent months trying to resolve this issue with apple when finally I gave up knowing they wouldn't do anything about it because they kept on denying there was anything wrong with the phone after the repair. I think one or two months later, a couple of days ago I got my phone wet. obviously, I know that the phone is not waterproof, only water resistant (advertise as being able to be 3 m underwater for 30 minutes), Therefore, when I took it to the lake I got it wet, but I was cautious. To my surprise, when I looked at it, I noticed water on my camera lens and on the actual screen. Obviously, I knew that the most reasonable explanation for getting that much water inside it for so little an exposure, Would have been that maybe the Sealment at the time of screen replacement wasn't done correctly. So I went back to the store, after explaining the situation they told me because, "visibly they couldn't see that there was anything wrong with the repair", I would have to pay the full price of replacement. After getting the new device, I let the associate that was helping me know that if this new phone was able to connect my Apple wallet with my bank, it would mean that all this time there was something wrong with my phone after the repair they did. SURPRISE, surprise!!!! After adding my Apple ID, I was able to add my credit cards right away. So I told her that it was that there was something wrong with the phone after the repair all along, all I got was a smile. I've been hours on end talking to customer service and to the actual store in the Haywood mall and they have me jumping from associate to associate, and none of them are helping me. The manager from the store, "matthew", told me that because I waited too long from the last customer service call I did from the Apple wallet to when my phone got water damage. They can't do anything about it. That the window closed for them doing anything to resolve the issue. All I wanted was a refund of the $104 of the replacement that had to be done due to the flawed repair and the $30 of the flawed repair that caused the 2 issues of the water and the apple wallet in the first place. I like my Apple iPhone and a few of the advantages it gives me, but I am very tired of two things. 1- every time the phone or watch is up-graded things change, and especially my watch changes, so that I can not turn my wrist and show the time without pushing the crown to turn the time back on. Also, my watch decides that it is time for me to exercise and puts me in "exercise mode," and wakes me a 2am to tell me I'm almost there... just keep going. and today I swatted a fly and my watch sent EMS to me as I was not able to find out quick enough how to let authorities know that I was alright and did not require an ambulance. 2- When I try to call Apple Support, it takes forever (13 minutes just now) to finally get to a live support agent in a foreign country to further identify me, before I was able to schedule me an appointment with an Apple techy in the local store. Actually, it wasn't so bad... it just took 24 minutes to do what 20 years ago I would have accomplished in 5 minutes or less. Now that we can do things in micro-seconds instead of time wasted on the call, it only takes a half an hour... or is that really time wasted? Workers are slow, the place is always crowded with people waiting, and half time time, they never have the parts they need for repairs. By the time you go through all the trouble of getting your device fixed, you might as well buy a new one or switch to android. I've been coming here for years with issues with my iPhones, and every single time it's a headache, and ruins my entire day. Apple has got to get it together, and considering now expensive their products are, they need to start actually ordering the parts needed for their stores to repair them. 5 star alert! Props to yohaira (apple support phone agent) and Carmen ( apple employee at the mall). First of Carmen is just really nice. She took good care of me. She even stayed late to help myself and another client. I was staying in Clemson and my iPhone 7 Plus decided to stop working. Talked with the apple agent for about an hour. She agreed to swap my phone. Only issue is I'm in Clemson and the nearest store is in Greenville about an hour away. So I drive there and meet Carmen. She checks out my phone and confirms that the internal speaker is it working. She gets me a replacement iPhone 7 Plus. She sets it up and I am back to having a working phone. She is really friendly and really cares about her clients. She went out of her way to make sure I got taken care of. I am sorry to do this but this store has consistently disappointed me over the last 4 years. Not sure why but this is the only apple store who seems not to care about customers, and this is not a single incidence, it is a theme. I am a loyal apple customer for more than 25 years. I have only apple products. I tried numerous times to get information at this location before I buy computers for thousands of dollars. I ended up to go to other shops like Charlotte, New York or Boston. I guess one of the sticky issues is that they have 3 security guys blocking the entrance and treating customers like criminals. I have never seen this behavior anywhere else and this is in Greenville, SC. In the past I have still tried to go to the store and get information before I buy but not anymore. The feeling of not being welcomed and treated like a thread is not what I am looking forward to. At least over the years this behavior is consistent so it is not just one person. Nice job read more

They even pushed me right to the Genius Bar without an appointment because I was there with an appointment the prior evening and my issue couldn't be resolved. Both days I had friendly and very knowledgeable geniuses. Lauren in particular was so helpful. He even gave me a much reduced deductible to replace my phone as an AppleCare Plus member. I wouldn't recommend this store to people I don't like. They sent my elderly father in law out with a new phone with no service. So he comes in to "upgrade" his old working phone and leaves with a "new" non working phone. Really? Shame on all of you. Best to skip this store and order online and follow instructional videos to setup yourself. Save time and frustration. Horribly managed store. STAY AWAY!! I could not be more pleased with this store. The employees are very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The tech person quickly fixed my problem and I was on my way. This was the second time I needed service and I am very happy with this apple store. Also I have bought a few devices here and the salesperson answered all my questions with a smile. I don't know if all Apple stores function like this one, if this is an endemic problem, or if the problem is more systematic, but it seems like they have 20 people wearing the appropriate Apple Store garb, but only 3 or 4 people can actually help with anything. You got the guy or gal who checks you in, and she is generally flanked by two other associates, presumably offering moral support and nothing else. Then you have the guy walking around cashing people out. And then you have the two or three geniuses who actually solve problems. Genius is a word meant to be used as a term of endearment, not literally. The place could seem empty, but there is always a wait to have your product serviced. How about you have 10 geniuses (or is it geniuii) instead of three? I am sure the people browsing and looking for Beats headphones and Apple paired keyboardsaren't in need of constant supervision. Most people are here because their shit broke and they need it fixed. When I had such a horrible experience, I called AppleCare so they can assist me. For some reason, I just do not like the way this Apple store functions. Employees seem to always make me feel like I am "bothering" them. Check-in is strange. You have to get on "the list" by giving your reason for visiting and full name to a check-in employee with an iPad. This information is then triaged to handheld PDA's that the Apple Store employees carry around. Good in theory, but terrible in execution. The one employee you need to see often has 5 people in his queue, while 10 employees stand around with nothing to do. Have visited this store to make purchases and for One-to-One appointments. Both experiences always result in just getting shuffled through the system with their PDA's, trying to pass me off to somebody else. A solid 3 stars because at least the store is there, but it definitely needs operational improvement. I don't want to go back here anytime soon. Just not a welcoming environment. read more

One of my worst shopping experiences ever! Drove over an hour to get warranty help. After I finally got to talk to someone, they sent me packing and told me I needed an appointment. The next available appointment was in 3 days. Then they wouldn't schedule an appointment for me. Said I needed to go online and schedule it (and I'm standing in the store ). People wanting to BUY were the only ones getting help; everyone else was getting shoved back out the door. I hope this isn't a sign of where Apple is going!!
