Took in my old time machine to the Genius Bar to get diagnosed because it wasn't working. They promptly diagnosed that the power cord was the problem. I tried to order a new power cord and have it shipped to me, but they said it had to be picked up from the store. Annoying, and it was never explained why, but fine. The power cord came in and I drove back to the store. Then I was told that I couldn't get the new power cord without exchanging the old power cord. I said I wasn't told that before and that I was willing to buy the new power cord. They wouldn't sell me the power cord. WTF? Get your shit together Apple. You're a technology company that makes people drive to your store to pick up parts! And even though I'm willing to pay you won't sell them to me!! You're not getting any more of my business. read more

I recently did apple update, which disabled my wifi and Bluetooth from working. Took it to the store, they weren't able to fix it and offered me a refurbished device for $350. Made the best computer decision of my life and purchased a Mac Book Pro. The best purchase so far (in addition to the computer of course) has been the year of One-to-one with an Apple Creative. It's been 10 years since I was on an Apple and although they haven't changed per se, they have come a looooong way! Lots to learn and great folks there to teach. For just $99 for a year's worth of advice I feel like I'm ripping them off! I recommend the One-to-one for anyone new (or new again) to the Mac world! read more

I came here because my macbook pro was not working. I had an appt so it didnt take long at all for them to call me. Once i let him know what was wrong, he did a diagnostic on it and told me that my hard drive was failing and that i need a new one, which wasnt very much at all. He was also able to back everything up on an external hard drive ( thank goodness) and that took about an hour. The staff was nothing but helpful and knew their stuff. I'm surprised at how quickly they got me out of there because it was packed. read more

Excellent customer service at this location! Joey helped me work on a dead phone when I arrived shortly prior to closing. He patiently helped me for 45 minutes after his shift ended, and his colleagues had vacated the store. Joey was exceptional both in his knowledge of how to solve the problems with my iPhone and in his superior treatment of his customer (me!). I was disappointed in my Apple product and was thinking of switching to Android when I walked into the store, but Joey's assistance and expertise changed my mind completely. I went for two workshops today and one gentleman was amazing and showed all kinds of interesting information on apple ID and icloud. He gave examples about how he uses the service, and provided temporal examples about how certain options work. The next workshop was a passive aggressive little twit who tried to pass off his inexperience to customers who came there to learn. ...it was odd, you would have to be there. I am curious if apple trains them this way or if this guy just had special skills on his own, I was ready to break him in half. I asked him how to put a list in two columns, some one else swooped in and deleted the entire document and found a backward way of doing it, with no care if the actual knowledge gets transferred, only that they had a moment to show off what was not even an actual solution, and share that they went to school in Austin, and wrote their thesis paragraphs in pages. Maybe she had two master's and PhD because she mentioned it three times, instead actually showing off the Pages product. I am clear they have master's graduates at the retail store, "good for you tiger", but how does Pages work? I had a similar experience when I asked for info on apple TV months ago. Worst two out of three....Like drinks in the desert. ..the ms store is exactly the same, I never thought I would say this about bestbuy but these outfits are making the guys at bestbuy look like straight Einsteins. gosh or even CDW. read more

This is was beyond anything I have ever experienced before. I've never seen customer service as terrible as this before in my life. When I walked in, I checked in with the guy at the front. I get there early and wait until about 15 minutes past my appointment time and ask someone where I am at on the list. Apparently the guy who checked me in had accidentally cancelled my appointment. So, I get checked back in and the girl tells me there is only one person in front of me in line. I wait 10 more minutes and see 2 more people get helped before me. I was on my lunch hour and had to get back to work, so I just walked out. Their system is absolutely flawed and screwed up. And not only that, but there over 5 different employees just standing around talking to one another. read more

Just got the new iphone 11 Pro the day it launched, (9/20). All my prior experiences with Apple have always been great, and despite the store feeling like it was more packed than DisneyWorld, the associates moved everyone along pretty well and orderly, and many were very friendly even though they were so busy. My only recent tiff is I went in the week prior to preorder the phone, only to be rudely dismissed by the two associates at the front of the store saying, "they don't do that here, I have to do it online". Once I went home and went online, I saw if I had preordered it, it wouldn't arrive until Mid-October. Deterred by that long wait, I decided to just go back the day it launched. I hadn't made a reservation because I didn't know I would need one. (It's been five years since I got a new phone). so the whole process ended up taking three hours. I wish the guys would have offered to make a product reservation for me in store while I was originally there, (or at least informed me I would need to make one) I consider it pretty rude they couldn't be bothered to do even that. read more

I went to the Mac store today to look for a new IPhone and to see if I could have my IPad repaired. While my wife was looking at all the cool new stuff I was waiting to be helped. I guess I was lucky because the wait time was all of 5 minutes and the person who helped me out was very helpful. Josh looked over my IPad and checked on the warranty for me. Within 15 minutes I walked out of there with my new Ipad and a new Iphone. I can't remember the name of the guy that helped my wife with the Iphone purchase, but he was very helpful too. My sister in law went in to get her Mac repaired and she was told that it was now considered a "vintage" model and they were no longer allowed to work on them, but at least they pointed her in the right direction as to where she could get it repaired. And one more thing---I wasn't the only one to think service and quality at your La Contera store had gone downhill. Mr. Tim Cook fired the VP of store operations John Browett. He will be gone by Halloween. Mr. Cook says there were missteps like cutting staff, shortening hours, not training employees fully, etc. So maybe you were just following orders and the results were just bad. I think I am due some compensation for the hundreds of extra miles I had to travel to make up for stores incompetent handling of purchase and data transfer. Blame it on Browett. Their customer service is tops, if you schedule an appointment you can be sure you will be cared for on time and you do not leave with unanswered questions. If they cannot help (Microsoft Office) they will tell you who can. read more

Honestly it horrible at this location specifically, some how there always a group of employees that can greet you and set a appointment but no one able to see me in atleast a timely manner the fastest apt I've had was 25 min past it's actually set time early in the morning . I went here to have the speakers of my I phone 7+ replaced and was disappointed with my service from the repair tech and management. They tried to pull a shady move borderline criminal, I turned my phone in for the repair and somewhere in the time they took it from me to when they brought it back the worker damaged my phone screen and cracked it. They tried to tell me I was aware of the crack and that they wouldn't fix the damage they caused. The manager said at no point in time are they even allowed to take the phone in the back before I sign acknowledging damage and he denied that it happened. But if they have cameras in the store they would see that it in fact happened and not only did they violate the rules I was informed of but they damaged my phone and denied liability. I understand accidents happen as we are all human but if something happens at a store where people are supposed to be professional I'd assume they would correct their mistakes. No not at this location, if you have issues with a device do not take it to this store because if any mistakes are made they will try to pin responsibility on the customer for their mistakes. All around Apple is great and I'm satisfied with my service through them, just not this particular location. Luckily customer relations heard me out and was able to resolve my issue so I'm satisfied with that. The store manager refuses to even have the repair done on my phone at that location though so I'm having to take it to another location but the expenses are paid for because Apple la cantera messed up,it just blows my mind that even though customer relations said they will cover the cost and the store is liable that the manager still wants me to get it repaired somewhere else because he can't swallow his pride and admit that they were wrong. I'd highly recommend Apple to anyone just avoid this location and go somewhere with more professional workers and management. read more

They are awesome! I've brought in multiple Apple products due to accidental damage or defects, etc. and they always ALWAYS help me out. One of the managers, Rick is the most gracious, understanding individuals I've ever had to pleasure of doing business with. He treated my problem as if it were his own and really took care of me and made sure everything was resolved. I will be emailing Apple corporate and letting them know how incredibly good the service is at this particular Apple Store. It's not just Rick, but everyone there has been so kind and helpful. I went into the Apple Store at La Cantera in San Antonio,TX and completely got turned away by a male employee standing in the front to greet. I recieved minimal assistance to help resolve my issue. I really wish Apple would train their employees to be more technical other than just standing around holding an iPad and telling you that you have to wait in line. The rep responded to my issue as "how about calling a tech on the phone" ?! Seems like every time I go I am never able to be helped and even when I set up an appointment I am still waiting. Restored my faith in retail this holiday season! Amazing customer service. We realized an iPad we purchased brand new, from another retailer in town, would not turn on, charge, etc. 2 days before Christmas. It is a gift we were going to set up before wrapping. There are no more iPad mini 4's in the area, at any retailer. The Genius Bar could not get the iPad to power on either. The awesome employee took time to work out a solution by speaking with the manager. Instead of sending us home with a non-working iPad to give as a Christmas gift, they figured out a way to find and get us a new one. The original big box retailer just told us "sorry". My husband and I visited the store on Dec. 10th. It was very busy, but we didn't feel like we were being rushed while we were being helped. I am visually impaired, and the saleswoman, Alishia, was extremely patient. She made me feel like there were no stupid questions that I could ask, and she set up my ipod so that I could use it as soon as I walked out of the store with all the features that are designed for a visually impaired person. Of course completely elaborate and beautiful layout of store but the salesmen need some help. I was in the other day due to issues on iPhone6. If I wasn't a younger generation I wouldn't exactly know how the system worked. I went in, stood by the Genius Bar with no assistance. Upon approaching someone, had to make an appointment so I was fine with that. The door greeter (a young guy with glasses) was very sweet just seemed a little nervous but he shouldn't be, at least he showed willingness to help. However, upon it was my time to be called for the appointment I was paired up with a rep who I remember his name but won't mention it. My issue is he approached me, asked for my reason for visit, let me know a few things we could do to correct it and gave me options. We needed to reset my phone which was fine. He said he would be right back with me and NEVER CAME BACK! I saw him with other customers which didn't make sense because why did I have an appointment, right? If my friend wasn't with me who was more tech savvy I really wouldn't have gotten anything out of my visit. Still have issues with my phone. read more

Today was my fifth or sixth visit to the LaCantera store and my service there has always been so great that I finally decided to write a review. I have had three defective iPhones, 2 3G's and a 4s and each time my phone died on me the service was excellent. At each visit I have been greeted immediately at the door, asked how I can be helped, and directed to someone who actually seems genuninely happy to provide assistance. No question is too ignorant to ask and they will walk you through whatever you need help with. This store is very busy but it is sufficiently staffed to handle the crowd. I got to the store 30 minutes before my scheduled appointment today and was seen within 5 minutes in spite of my early arrival. I was approaced by 4 or 5 staff members, all asking if I needed help. By the time I left my appointment today I was helped by 4 different people regarding 5 different questions/needs (regarding my phone, my iPod, and iPad, and apple devices. Upon leaving the store (and wifi) my restoration process came to a screeching halt and I wasn't sure what the best way to handle it would be so I called the store and was helped immediately. They took my number to follow up later to make sure the advice they gave me solved my problem. You probably can't get better service than what I have always received at LaCantera Apple. The folks at the Genious bar are pretty genious and everyone at the store is helpful and friendly! I have been to one other Apple store in San Antonio and the service I received there, while ok, simply hasn't compared to that of the folks at LaCantera. As an added bonus...this store is kiddo friendly. I have taken my son, who has special needs, in with me every time and he is entertained by games on the computers or iPads while I am being helped and the store is so bustling and busy that nobody minds that he gets a little overzealous while playing new games. Well, things have changed!!! Chase was great once I drove to the store. He helped me with all of the settings, programs, etc. even though I did not purchase the computer from the store. He is a good guy, the store is really busy all of the time and that is why the communication was not originally very good. My wife and I both bought Iphones. We had nothing but trouble sync'ing them and sought online help as well as going by the store at least five times. In desperation, I took broke down my computer and took it into the store and three hours later it was supposed to be fixed, the problem diagnosed as a "faulty Itunes version". This did not fix it. Again in desparation, I went to file a complaint with Apple and finally got someone who seemed to know what to do. After three hours on the phone with him and one brief follow-up phone call, the problem seems to be fixed....at least for now. read more
