What can I say? I am an Apple Fan Boy and proud of it because it took Apple only a couple of purchases to win me over whcih was much quicker than the years of being a PC owner and always having to deal with viruses, malware and software that would sometimes work and other times crash on me. The Apple Store also has a customer service that is 99% of the time on top of its game. I say 99% because around the holidays and other busy times of year, the amount of people shopping here can cause a little neglect by the staff. I am sure it is not all their fault but more a by-product of the magnitude of people shopping here at any given time. The staff always has an answer to my questions and while I sometimes may know more about a product than they do, they are quick to bring in backup or find me an answer if they do not know it. The La Cantera location is especially convenient and if you valet your car, it is literally a 2 minute walk from the valet booth. read more

The staff here and friendly and extremely knowledgeable about every Apple product I've inquired about. The staff at the genius bar have also always been extremely kind and helpful. I love this store. I went in with a issue with my iPhone XS. The face ID wasn't working. The repair cost was going to be $549 and I just can't swing that. The manager came over and worked with me and ended up taking care of me on their dime. My screen cracked 7 months ago, and I took it in to Apple to get it fixed. About 6 months later, my iPhone was either randomly selecting different parts of the screen on its own and/or unresponsive making it VERY difficult to get ANYTHING done. I took it in hoping to get a replacement screen, free of charge, since the issue was with the screen from the repair. I was told that it was out of the 90 day period from the date of the repair and that my iPhone was unfix-able due to a faulty motherboard - not the digitizer. They suggested I purchase a new one since I was out of warranty. I didn't believe them. I attempted the repair myself and ELIMINATED the issue so I was completely lied to. If you guys have an issue with your iPhone and are out of warranty, you guys should attempt the fix yourself! The person that was authorized to make the decision didn't even attempt to look inside the iPhone. Thanks for nothing, guys! read more

After failing to reach nerd bar via appointment scheduling and apple customer support - was greeted with a 1.5 hr wait to be told there would be additional -1.5 wait to actually do the repair. I set up an appointment to have my mac looked at. Took the time to get there promptly at the appointed time and after driving more than half hour, I arrive only to find the store closed, apparently with out power. I was greeted by 2 employees armed with their ipads that apparently worked fine. So being connected ,do you not think they could have, like any business would, take the time to cancel the appointments of those of us who had them? Or at least offer to reschedule? If you need a knowledgeable staff with a genius bar that can actually answer questions and help with issues stay away from this store. After I waited an hour to be seen, they ran diagnostics on my computer (which I didn't need). I then went on to explain my actual problem. I have came here for service repairs as well and haven't had any issues, the service is always done on time is not earlier. The so-called Genius that checked out my MacBook Air. Word to the wise...two atoms worth of coffee will f*cking destroy a MacBook Air. And if you take it to this Apple Store and give it to the Genius I had...you are screwed. Yes, my dumbass mistake for spilling the coffee, but the Genius took the cover off the back to diagnose the presence of coffee. Then he put the cover back on for "safety reasons", because we all know coffee is more dangerous if it is allowed to be dried and cleaned from the logic board that is concealed by special screws that only Apple can open. "Sir, your machine is toast so you should by a new one". I love your fragile machines but I absolutely despise your customer service. read more

We made an appointment on Saturday to come today, Monday. We waited about 10 minutes after our appointment was scheduled for. The young man who helped us, Steven, was very polite and patient. My mother's phone had not been updated once since she received it, which of course means it was running incredibly slow and it was also filled to max capacity. Steven helped us upload all of her photos, including those that were from a previous device and plugged her phone into some apple device which made the software updates download much much faster.. Overall, even though we were that complicated customer (that every employee hates) we received really great customer service. read more

The Apple Store will always be that place to get your iPhone, iPad, and so much more replaced. A few weeks ago my iPad Pro (3rd Generation) wasn't turning on, I don't know why. I scheduled an appointment for 10:30 AM, we get there and we have to wait upwards of an hour just to see a specialist that wouldn't stop agonizing us (I'm like you have the serial number, it's in warranty, just fix it!) and then we have to wait another hour for them to inspect it. But even though we had to wait that long I did get something out of it an amazing lunch at Chick-fil-a La Cantera, new AirPods, and a new iPad that works great. The store was roomy, and much nicer that the other stores in San Antonio, the specialists were nice for the most part. For anyone out there you can tolerate the Apple Store La Cantera. read more

My daughter was told she had a free repair on the phone so, excitedly, she made an appointment with the La Cantera store. After arriving, she was informed that the info she was given was incorrect, so that was no good...then, she took my phone to be repaired and the guy (after claiming it was fixed) had done the opposite- a big waste of time for her and a bummer for me, thinking my phone was going to be fixed!!! The worst customer service ever. I had an appointment for 730 with the Genius Bar this past Saturday night. After 12 minutes of waiting an associate came over to address the issue. With him for 5 minutes when I was passed to another associate named Alex. Worked with Alex till 804 when he informed me his shift was over and another associate named Sal would work with me. Sal was with another customer so I would have to wait. Approximately 30 minutes later Sal was able to address my issue with my iPhone 6 Plus. Problems with apps. Said we would have to restore my iPhone. So as I'm waiting for it to restart a customer came over to Sal and the 2 took off to look at a device. iPhone came up and Sal was still with "paying" customer. I waited another 20 plus minutes. Store had closed but still full of customers. I went to Sal and said I was ready for next step. He told me what it was but would need to charge phone. I went to where I had been seated and someone took the cord. At this point I am so frustrated that I slapped my phone onto desk. Two associates came over to see what was the problem. I explained that Sal knew and that I had been in the store since 720 and I had been passed around to 3 associates and nothing had been accomplished. I was with my 7 1/2 months pregnant sister-in-law who had been a walkin and had her phone serviced and it had been completed an hour earlier. The guys left and a few minutes Will my fourth associate to work on my phone came over and said we would reset my iPhone back to like a new phone. He worked on it and didn't leave until it came up. He checked to make sure my pictures and videos were on it. Plus put the Facebook app on and made sure it worked. The time is about 930. No one in store except me and my sister in law with the few remaining associates. I checked my calendar before I left and nothing was on it. Will worked for a good 15 minutes on it and he said he couldn't get it to come up and that I would have to call Apple. I told him my previous experience with calling Apple was not a good one. Another associate came over and told me there was nothing the store could and that I had to leave. I told him some of the issues that I had and he didn't care. Wanted me out of the store. Meanwhile Will was still working on my iPhone. My calendar finally came up. At this point the store manager came over to see what was going on. Walking to the door with the manager, I explained some of what happened to her. She was very apologetic about it and said sometimes best thing to do was call Apple. Let me explain that while I was waiting for Sal to work on and finish my iPhone I observed customers with no appointments walkin and be helped. In and out. Yes my phone needed more than a quick fix but had an associate stayed with me and serviced the phone I would not have had to be in the store until 948. Over 2 1/2 hours for an hour fix. Let me conclude: I'm on vacation from Columbus Ohio for two months. I've been to the Easton Apple Store many times and I have NEVER been treated like I was at the La Cantera store. Passed around to 4 different associates and nothing accomplished until I slapped phone unto desk. My advice go to a different Apple Store. read more

I would never return to this store nor would I ever buy anything Apple again in my life after the experience I had trying to replace a broken Ipod Shuffle. It took three trips, hours out of my life that I will never get back. The staff is unorganized, why have appointments set up when you are not seen at that time, besides, why should I need an appointment for them to hand me a replacement? I could go on and on, but I think I will save it for the lengthy letter that is going to the company. In conclusion, I would have rather bought a whole new Shuffle then go though the hassle at the Apple Store at La Cantera to replace it, but then again, I think I would have just gone right across the way and bought something from Microsoft to replace it. The Spark notes version of this review is that this location severely lacks efficiency. I went to the Apple Store the other day to get my phone replaced. When I entered, I was told they wouldn't be able to see me until Sunday...It was Wednesday. If you know you're having so many problems with devices and there's only two locations in the city (and North Star's next available appointment wasn't much better) why not hire more staff?! Or here's a better idea (to those whose answer would be "labor costs" although we are talking about a company with a market capitalization of $560B): cross train your employees. I purchased AppleCare+ on my iPhone and it should've been an easy come in, pay the deductible, leave with a working phone process. Instead, they had only 2 people working the Genius Bar and in a store with, easily, a 3-4 customers per 1 employee ratio, employees would finish a sale, then go chit chat with other employees while customers looked on angrily because they were basically being ignored. One couple near me, waited an hour to buy a pair of Beats wireless headphones...AN HOUR...And thats at FULL PRICE (Best Buy had these same headphones $100 off and you could've been in and out by then). When they're not doing that, they wander aimlessly around the store like they're looking for something or someone only to turn away and go back to doing nothing (or disappearing in the back). Going back to the AppleCare situation - the store did not have any replacement models in stock for my phone size and they were telling me the computer system was saying my phone had to be sent out to the repair depot and I would be without a phone for about 5 business days. I guarantee you, no salesperson is telling customers this when they're trying to up-sell that AppleCare+ attachment. They offered me a loaner phone, which has been nothing short of a nightmare. Not only is it a 16GB model (which I don't know even know why you would offer someone a phone thats 1/8 the size of their normal phone's size) - which means I can't put practically anything on it (and I do use my phone for work). Furthermore, the phone app randomly quits when you're talking on the phone which means I hang up on people randomly and frequently. And earlier today it was going thru a spell of showing the battery icon, restarting and coming back up only to go black and restart again and this went on for 30 minutes. Apple needs to refocus its efforts and get back to championing the customer. Their satisfaction numbers are falling because it's becoming harder for even the most loyal Apple customers to not notice that Apple's not the same customer-centric company that they used to be, especially when it comes to things like reliability and innovation. read more

After dropping my iPhone, I couldn't get through online to make an appointment. I showed up at the store 1 hour after the drop and they made me an appointment here because they were completely booked and I was leaving town the next morning. I showed up here at 6:20 and their wifi was down. They said they couldn't accommodate me because they needed the system for a screen repair. After 1.5 hours of retail therapy I checked back. The rep helping me, Collin, knew how frustrated I had been (perfect storm of 36 hours of awfulness) and offered to switch my phone out completely. He helped me for from when I walked in around 7:40 until I left the store at 9:30pm, 30 minutes after close. He and the other employees were nothing but helpful and he made me feel like I wasn't being such a whiny baby for being so upset about my phone. The customer service was fantastic, especially Collin! I would highly recommend this location! One of the other employees was even using his own personal hot spot to help out customers. This place has fantastic customer service if they could make even me, on my worst day, smile. read more

Panicked by the fact that my iPhone (less than a year old) blacked out, I went straight to the Apple Store. The greeter " Hi Welcome In". Really. This how we professional address people. Not "Welcome to Apple" or Welcome, come on in". No it was "Welcome In" to everyone that walked in. Then she heard what you need, and asked to stand in another line so some one could check you in. Was her job, to simply speak incorrectly. Then I get to the gentleman who was checking people in to be told, that he believed it was my display, and that their display machine was broken, and I should try another Apple Store. He didn't even offer to make an appointment for me at the other store, just dismissed my needs, and me. I will drive now 15 miles to go to North Star Mall, and will not return to La Cantera. read more

I made an appointment at the genius bar to get a new power adapter on a Sunday afternoon. Even on one of the busiest days, the geniuses were on time and addressed my issue quickly. On top of that, they noticed that the casing on my MacBook was coming off and said they could replace it for me for free because it was a know issue. The person helping me said they were backed up on repairs and said it would probably take 3 days to fix. I agreed to leave my computer, and two hours later I got a phone call saying it was ready for pick up. On top of the fast repair, they cleaned my sticky, stubbornly-stained keyboard that has been resistant to my cleaning methods for months. It's like having a brand new computer! This has got to be the best Apple retail store I've ever been to! I am quite an Apple fan girl and frequently visit the Apple store. Most of Apple stores I've been to are quite busy, so the service is not as good as it should've been. This apple store's service is top notch! Every time I come here, I was greeted the first moment I stepped in the store, and all the staff was extremely attentive. They were all really helpful when I needed a new charger, not once, or twice, but THREE times! (yes, I've destroyed a total of 3 chargers and have gotten free replacements for all of them). They never make me feel like I'm some clueless girl who knows nothing about technology (pshh). I am from the Dallas area but currently in San Antonio for school. Every time that I needed to go to the Apple store for something, I always prefer to go to this location instead. read more

I was agitated at first as I was removed from queue after being 15 minutes late for my genius bar appointment. I took the next available, an entire hour later, but was seen within 20 minutes after arrival and walked out with a brand new iPhone just three days before my Apple Care protection plan expired! I have to admit I'd never actually BEEN inside the doors of an Apple store. I've walked by the one at North Star several times and its always SO busy, the impression I get is - decent service would be impossible to expect there. I walked into the La Cantera Apple store at 10:25am on a Monday morning. Upon walking in and telling the greeter why I was there, I was directed to someone who would set up an appointment for me. That was a bit of a surprise, I didn't expect to need an appointment, especially since the store was fairly empty. Luckily, it was a weekday and the next appt time was only 30 mins out. I took in a BSOD'd iPad 1. James was my tech and he was very courteous, explaining to me their process and what he intended for my seemingly dead ipad. 10 minutes later he came back and reported the status of my ipad, and then let me know it'd be a few more minutes. And 10 minutes later, my ipad was reloaded and ready to be restored. All that took less than 30 minutes, a BIG PLUS when you have kids in tow at a mall! Overall a very painless experience, although I can't speak for times when the store is super packed. (And I probably wont because I RARELY go into stores when they are so busy! My 4am Black Friday days are over, on-line is the way to go!) Side note, as the kids and I walked over to the pretzel place to kill time until our appt, I discovered my son left his ipad (and not the dead one either!) on the counter in the store. Luckily an Apple associate spotted it and put it away for safe keeping! As soon as I walked breathlessly back into the store, another Apple worker knew exactly why I was there and waved me over! The employees were very nice. After speaking with the technician he determined that my iPhone six (that was cracked on the front glass) had been resulted from a hairline crack. That meant that it was still covered under warranty and they replaced my cracked iPhone six screen for free instead of me paying $109! read more
