Had a unique issue with the iPhone upgrade program where I wanted to switch to Verizon from at&t and couldn't because the phone Apple gave me was not compatible with Verizon. After hours on the phone with Apple and not getting anywhere, I came in this store and saw Rick, the manager. Rick offered me the BEST service ever. He was very understanding when I was frustrated, he truly went above and beyond to fix the issue and did it himself. I honestly have never had a good experience with the Apple Store. There is ALWAYS a very long wait, even when you get there before they open. It seems, to me at least, that all they do is try to explain away real issues, and hold you off until your warranty expires so they can sell you the current model. In August we sent my wife's watch in, because they couldn't service it in store. Just so that it could send it back claiming they could not replicate the issue, even after we provided them with screen shots of what it was doing. When we went back again for the very same issue, it was not out of warranty and they wanted to charge $280 just to test it. We then went to our AT&T store where we filled a claim, and had a brand new watch the next morning for only $70. read more

Went in today to get my son's g7 tablet looked at. Staff was very nice and helpful until Kim showed up & basically shut down any issues and questions I had. She was condescending and seemed only concerned with the bottom line, in other words your problem is not our problem & the only way to fix what I essentially believed to be a software issue was to pay up for what they declared must be a hardware issue regardless of them even being able to run a diagnostic. Issue - unable to hear audio clearly ONLY on FaceTime, how can that possibly by a hardware issue. I love Apple products & have been to this location many times but this is the first time I had such a terrible experience. read more

I was recommended to take my iphone8 to this service center for repair. The phone needed a battery replacement only. The technician told me it would be approximately one and a half to two hours to repair the phone or to replace the battery. I returned after this time to retrieve my phone, but wasn't told by a different person, the phone was going to cost me over $150 because the technician was unable to open the keys to the iPhone 8 in addition to the battery because the additional $150 was in case the technician broke the screen of the phone. I said, you are a repair service who should have the experience and capability to open a case preventing any unnecessary damage to the phone. This technician said that it would there was no guarantees and that if the glass was broken and the phone was non-usable, I would have to purchase a new phone because they had no loaner phones. This is a recognize Apple repair center and it is inexcusable that they would use this excuse to not only make a customer wait two hours for us Service they can't provide and to do a swipe switch and bait tactic to sell their products. I am putting in a formal complaint to the Apple corporation and the Better Business Bureau; and I do not recommend them to repair a older model phone because they are not capable of handling the responsibility or have the capability to competently accomplish this type task. I do not recommend them. Take your phone, if it requires refurbishment, to a more reliable and competent Repair source. read more

After 45 minutes of waiting and having put my name on the list right when i walked in, i am watching other customers who arrived after me to leave with purchases, I approached the greeter and asked how much longer. I was told, sorry you aren't on my list. I kindly shared my story that I had been waiting over 45 minutes. He said yes you are not on the list and I can add you now. What??? I've waited 45 minutes, you don't apologize, you don't offer to help me right away? To say the least I will not spend my money here. I was trying to surprise my son. I have been using Mac computers for the past 20-years and have never had issues with anything until about a year ago when I started having issues with the power supply - these things are literally made like crap and last just as long as the warranty. Seems like Apply purposely makes these things disintegrate. Alas, today's drop-in visit to the Apple Store at La Cantera just takes the cake. The guest service people are friendly enough but the people that work the Genius Bar are seriously d-bags. How easy it would be to keep a customer happy - I mean that's what customer service is about, right? Not so here at this place. My problem is that I received a power cord from my sister for Christmas - um that's exactly two months since I've had it and the plug in part (called a "Duck Head") literally fell apart in my hands yesterday when I unplugged it from the outlet. Had I have not been paying attention, it would have shocked me. I took the obvious brand new plug into the Apple Store and instead of looking up my sister's name (who I might add has her entire business on Apple products - 60+ employees), I am just told that I have to pay to replace the part because I do not have the receipt. I explained that it was a CHRISTMAS PRESENT and they Hispanic male behind the Genius Bar just shrugged his shoulders and told me that I had to pay to replace the part. Are ya frikkin kidding me??? I think this is my final straw with the Apple Store and Apple products as a whole. My new Macbook Air isn't half the book that my old Macbook is and whenever the new Macbook croaks, I'm switching my computer and my company's computers over to the Zenbook. read more

My husband bought me a new Apple MacBook Air online for my birthday. He opened an Apple account in order to take advantage of the 0% interest they were offering to purchase the laptop. When it arrived, it turned out he ordered silver and I wanted gold. I drove into town (22 miles) to exchange it at the La Cantera location. They were very friendly and told me it would be no problem to exchange it since I had the email with the receipt. I was told that they would have to process a return for the silver one then recharge his account for the gold one. Once he processed the return, I was told they couldn't recharge my husband's account unless he was present and they couldn't give me back the silver one because the return had already been processed. I was left standing there with nothing! I asked to speak to the manager and he stated that the situation as explained by the clerk was correct. I told him I had driven from out of town to return the item and that my husband couldn't come in for several days as he was working out of town. If I had known I couldn't exchange the item, I would have kept the silver one. I was given a free new screen protector and installation for my phone but no laptop. After 2 hours of juggling phone calls between my husband and the customer service phone representative I finally just applied for my own Apple credit card and was finally able to get my gold MacBook Air. The manager made no attempt to help me to walk out of his store with the product I desired. I was left standing alone on the sales floor with no help at all and feeling like they thought I had stolen the silver laptop. Totally unsatisfactory. I only give 2 stars because of the free screen protector installation. I had to come up with my own solution to the problem they caused by issuing a return before ensuring they could follow through with the exchange! read more

We usually do our upgrades through our phone providers, but we decided to give it a different try. Johnny helped us and he was amazing! My iPhone's back camera and flash light stopped working after updating it so I took it in to try and get it fixed. They said that there's nothing they can do and I would need to get a completely new phone. When I asked what's wrong with it they simply said they didn't know?? I expect way more from Apple! Apple is one of the biggest electronics used in today's day and age. Being that company you need to be focused on customer service and shorter wait times. 20 minutes after a store opens and having to wait 20 minutes in line to find out that there are no walk in appointments in the next 2-1/2hrs is unacceptable. Obviously there isn't enough staff to handle the load of customers you need to service. Of course they offered an appointment but why should anyone have to go through this madness again? Finding the actual location wasn't bad if you park in the right spot. But good luck with that too. This outlet mall is full with snooty people with bad attitudes. I never had an issue at the Apple Store I used on the east coast, they were properly staffed to handle the crowds. read more

As you enter you are normally greeted by a staff member who will direct you where to go. The store has numerous large tables displaying all things Apple as well as counters along the walls for their larger items. Usually it's not difficult to try out the product you've come to see. The check in was a bit confusing , I browsed for 15 or so minutes then when I was ready to make the purchase I was told it will be about 15 mins before I could be seen. Word to the wise , check in when you walk in... The apple employees were having personal conversations and was it was a bit itratating having to interrupt . Once I made the purchase , I didn't get the "awesome purchase gratitude" I just expected more enthusiasm for spending my hard earned money at this store. The arrogance ! The sheer superiority complex is appalling. Coming here to get a problem fixed is one of the most humbling experiences in my life. I am amazed at my stupidity of surrounding myself with Apple gadgets and it's just me to blame. With that said, I was having trouble with my Apple TV. Have used that a total of 3 times in last 6 months. It's not syncing up the system time and hence can't activate and connect with the Internet. Getting a Genius Bar appointment is a process. After speaking to a few agents on the phone and proving that I am not a dolt and there is something really wrong. I was finally given the opportunity to take my Apple TV to the store. The appointments were scarce and long ways out. It's worse than getting a doctors appointment. Now I am at the store being asked to stand in a line for an hour. Most people in line are looking frustrated and unhappy. The staff here is mostly comprised of almost 15 sales folks on the floor with only 3 people on the Genius Bar. Most store people are talking to themselves with no customer service visible. I guess these are tell tale signs and time is ripe to start dumping Apple stock. The company is well past its prime. I had a horrible experience with repairing my Apple Watch Series 3. My watch stopped charging and the screen wouldn't turn on, and despite attempts by myself and the Apple worker, it wouldn't factory reset either. I was told that watch repairs are a send-out, so the worker took all my information down and told me that it's usually 3-5 days for the repairs to be done. When verifying my email address, I told the worker it was incorrect. I spelled it out for him and when he was unable to correctly type it out (I mean, how hard is it when I'm spelling my email for him LETTER. BY. LETTER), he asked me to type it on his iPad. I did this and then received the confirmation email of my watch being sent out for a repair. About a week later, I got a call from Apple about not responding to an email that depo (where they send watches to be repaired, unsure about that spelling) sent confirming if I want them to repair my watch. I was confused and told them I never received an email. The girl on the phone said to check my spam, and I told her that my spam folder was empty. I then asked her to spell out the email they had on file. Sure enough, it was the wrong one that the first guy typed out, which I corrected!!! Not sure how I was able to get a confirmation email, and depo was given the WRONG email... She told me she would flag depo and it would move my watch up in priority or something, and that I would receive an email from them again to confirm my repair. 3-5 days later, after not ever getting an email to respond to, I called Apple and they said my watch should be back in a few days. I receive a call from Apple a day later, telling me my watch was ready for pick up. I drove all the way to La Cantera to pick up my watch that was "ready," only to find out that they sent it back to the store because I didn't respond to an email. Then, they actually asked me if I did indeed want to send it back for repair again. REALLY? 1. I never got an email 2. Why did Apple call to tell me my watch was "ready for pick up?" It could have been communicated when they called me that my watch was never repaired. I wasted time and gas for that trip for them to tell me my watch wasn't repaired. I asked them again what email they had on file and IT WAS THE WRONG ONE STILL. I had to write it down for them this time. And guys, my email address is not anything fancy. It's literally my first name, middle initial, and last name. It isn't xX1bbygurl19472zz.1xx or anything. My watch was replaced in the end, but the story doesn't end there. When I went to pick it up, the 2 guys at the front of the store were busy with customers. I see about 5 employees just standing there not doing anything and approach one of them to tell them I need to pick up my watch. I was told I have to check in at the front. Oooookaaayyyy.... But, like, what are you doing standing there with an iPad doing literally nothing? I go back to the front and wait for one of the workers to finish with the other customers. This guy sees me, ignores me standing there, and checks in a customer that walked in after I had been waiting there to talk to him!!!! The worker who was doing nothing and made me go to the front to check in, comes over to tell him something about me needing to pick up my watch. The guy who ignores me then signs me in to pick up my watch. WHAT KIND OF JANK SYSTEM ARE WE RUNNING HERE, GUYS? I hope my Apple products never break or malfunction again because I hate this place. read more

Story time: I needed a computer since my 2010 laptop died and couldn't be revived. I spent a long time shopping around, comparing prices, and asking my friend all kinds of annoying questions. I made three separate trips to this Apple store before deciding to purchase a Macbook Pro. Many thanks to all the associates who patiently answered all my questions and informed me of the various deals they offered. I will also do a separate review for all the other stores I visited during my shopping experience. Everyone treated me well enough to want to purchase items from them in the future. Service was great! No one sighed or gave me funny looks when I asked questions that I'm sure seemed absolutely ridiculous. No one made me feel pressured to buy anything. Each associate gave me ample time to experiment with each device and explain the difference between Macbook Pro/AIr or iMac. As for atmosphere the store itself was very clean and neatly arranged by product type. iPods and iPhones were towards the front of the store. computers were on the perimeter and towards the back of the store. The parking lot gets full so yes, there will probably be a bit of a walk from your car to the store. I'm very happy with my purchase. I will buy again in the future (although hopefully that won't happen for a while!). read more

Probably the best Apple store I've ever been to as far as customer service and availability of apple and third party products. La Cantera is a really nice outdoors shopping center and since this is the new trend you can expect it to always be packed. If you park by the PF Changs you'll be close to the store. I didn't know much about the mac OS and one of the apple tech's explained everything to me. He was really knowledgeable and was very patient...we spent about 40 minutes going through the tutorials and him answering questions it really sealed the deal for me. Since then I returned everytime I needed any accessories and everyone's so polite and helpful!!! Someone left a comment that the shopping area itself is filled with snobs that is partly true...this is the newest shopping center in the newest and richest part of town close to the Dominions...but I always go casual and am always treated equally :) read more

The worst experience ever. We stayed there for more than 2 hours with a broken AC and it was like a sauna. I had a device that doesn't have FaceTime, it's one of 3 devices that I purchased in Saudi Arabia.. we were helped by JoJo who was trying his best to fix the problem till another guy from Apple showed up and couldn't fix that device. The problem was with his lame excuse about an issue with the Apple id! And some IP adress of the device from where it is activated. And it was NOT related to that AT ALL. It was a hardware fault of the device not letting FaceTime work. The device was restored and update to ios 12 activated on an american carrier with an american IP and it still would not allow facetime to work. After all it's an Apple phone and Apple should be responsible if there's a hardware failure. They were supposed to exchange that phone but instead, that guy kept impressing us about who stupid he thinks we are.. or maybe he is not suppose to be an Apple tech member because he doesn't know anything. Jojo was the only one offering to come up with solutions. The other guy was reading quora on this! read more

I had absolutely the best experience here. Two days ago, I dropped my iPhone and the screen shattered to a million pieces. I fell to my knees and wept and wept and looked up to the Heavens and shouted, "NOOOOOOOO!" and "WHYYYYYYYY?!" as I grabbed my sweet baby phone and held it to my chest rocking gently back and forth. And if you think any of that is an exaggeration at all, you are wrong friend. You are very wrong. Okay, well maybe you're actually right and I didn't actually cry but I felt all of that in my heart and had I not been in such a crowd I would have reacted that way. I went to The Apple Retail Store at La Cantera. I was given absolutely THE BEST service. They let me cry on their shoulders and discussed all my options with me. In the end, I replaced the entire phone and not just the screen thanks to their help and expertise. I also bought a new case (at the suggestion of a particularly helpful technician) that would absorb the shock of a fall better should a horrific tragedy like the loss of my iPhone occur again in my near future. But, *shudder* let's hope nothing like that happens any time soon... If you have any Apple-related issues, I would really suggest a trip to the location at La Cantera. There are amazing, wonderful Apple employees in shining armor out there. ;-) read more

Albert (great beard and eyelashes) was very patient and let me hang out until it was all fixed and new software was installed. I find parking to be easier and it's nice to not feel overwhelmed by the throngs of new Apple users. It's pretty awesome to see that they're now checking people into their appointments with the ipad. I can't wait for when Christmas time rolls around and I get one. Ahhhhh, how masterful the art of wishful thinking is ;) While replacing the battery and charging for our mac, we got to hear fun talk from such iconic films as Back to the Future and Star Wars. What could be better than that? We chortled and the two techs prompty fixed what was a nightmare to technically challenged people and made it look fun (Not that my boyfriend is technically challanged, I am and I had to add this because he wouldn't be too happy if he thought I meant him). Thomas was amazing. There was a small wait for the Genius Bar even with an appointment but after that I couldn't have asked for anyone better to help me. Thomas was knowledge and quick at finding solutions. Although my issue was unable to be fixed he resolved it. The store was busy but still seemed to be running quickly with all the holiday shoppers. I appreciate both the manager and Thomas and all their help! Would definitely go back to this Apple. Also they do have free WiFi so it's nice during waits to be able to connect to the internet. read more

Fast. Efficient. Awesome. Went in to get my phone fixed since I had dropped it and cracked the screen. Walked in, was greeted and tended to instantly! I went to the designated area to wait for someone to attend me and every now and then an employee would ask me how I was doing and if I needed anything. Great customer service. The gentleman who helped me, I wish I remembered his name, was extremely courteous and friendly! They were pretty busy but I got tended to in the quickest time possible given the circumstances. rarely does a business impress me to get 4-5 stars, this store gets five! after 23 years in the hospitality industry, i've learned that in today's marketplace, service that many folks consider "excellent" usually matches my standard of "basic". long gone are simple courtesies, basic service, especially in restaurants, and what i've long held are the rudiments of customer service. sad, but it matches our culture's tolerant attitude. this Apple store, on the other hand, excelled today! enthusiasm, courtesy, communication, rapid deployment, and an apparent genuine concern for her customers were the norm. i interacted with five staff members and one manager and i was blown away by the care and treatment of my issue. i'm not an Apple fan especially, but if this is their "standard of service", i might just become one. well done, Apple! read more

Some of the crapiest service ive ever had. I went in at 6:40 and my iPhone was having a glitch and they told me that they could get my phone done within an hour so I walked around the mall for an hour waiting for my phone to be checked in. I went back an hour later and waited about 30 minutes for them take 3 minutes to look at my phone and then tell me "sorry our phone repairs stopped at 8 and you can come back tomorrow". Why the hell am I going to come back in the morning when you could have put my phone in the 30 minutes I was already standing in the store. Mind you they could have told me before I waited 2 HOURS to get my phone glanced at that they stopped at 8. They hired nothing but a bunch of stupid teenagers that know very little about the phone and care very little about customers. Poor Service and Poor Employees. read more
